Lady of the Vale Nursing Home is located in Bowdon Vale, Altrincham and provides nursing care and support for up to 38 residents. The home itself was built in the early 1930’s. The continuous investment and refurbishment programmes have introduced modern care facilities whilst maintaining the heritage and character of the home. The home also has a beautiful chapel on site where mass is held daily.

The home offers quality long-term and respite care for people with nursing needs and palliative care which is delivered by a highly skilled team of nurses and care assistants who provide support 24-hours a day.

There are beautiful, well maintained gardens which residents and visitors can make the most of at their leisure. Most bedrooms have a lovely view of the gardens. Residents are encouraged to bring small items to personalise their bedrooms.

The home aims to provide the highest standard of person-centred care for their residents and respect every person as a unique individual and promote choice and dignity in everything they do. The involvement of residents’ families is actively sought and encouraged.

Their compassionate care and holistic approach places values on health, well-being and spirituality, making Lady of the Vale a special place to be. There are many opportunities to express and pursue religious and cultural values. Residents are involved in decision-making, not only about their personal care but also in matters concerning the running of the home.

Staff training and development is fundamental to their services and they are proud of their dedication and commitment. Staff are also encouraged to share ideas, knowledge and experience throughout the home.

There is a warm welcome from entering the home with well trained and caring staff from the management to the whole structure of caring. Ask and you will receive immediate attention. Visitors are all welcome. I had an R.T.A. some two months ago and I've never had problems with transport. People have
gone out of their way to take me safely home.

I have managed many homes but Lady of the Vale is special. It has a very calming atmosphere. It’s an old building with lots of character and lovely grounds; with a lot of staff who have worked here a long time and so are full of stories from the past. We work together as a team to provide the best care possible, we support one another in sad times but also have lots of laughs. We are a family.
