St George's Nursing Home staff and management are very good and really friendly, always asking if everything is ok. The food and drink are excellent and really good activities. The rooms are clean with good facilities. The overall standard is very good.
Thank you for taking the time in putting a review for us. Please feel free to contact me or the manager if you would like to discuss anything further.
St George's is fantastic. They are caring and go above and beyond to ensure residents stay safe and well looked after. It is a difficult job, and we, as a family, thank you and appreciate all they do.
Thank you for your lovely positive review. Will pass it down to the staff. If there is anything more we can do for your loved one or the family, please do not hesitate to contact us.
All I can say is a big thank you to the amazing and wonderful caring staff on the top floor for looking after my husband for the last few days of his life. They give 100% in everything they do, thank you.
Thank you very much for the kind words of appreciation. Will pass those on to our staff. If there is anything more we can do for you or the family, please do not hesitate to contact us.
To the manager and staff at St George's Nursing Home (Wigan), my family and I would like to thank all of you in the final weeks of my husband's life, sadly he has now passed. I cannot thank the staff for the care shown to my husband and myself during his time spent there. God Bless them all.
Thank you for your lovely message. I will pass it on to the staff. If there is anything more we could do for you or the family, please do not hesitate to ask.
To care home manager and staff at St George's Nursing Home (Wigan), just like to thank you all for the brilliant way myself and my wife were looked after on the 3-2-2022, our Diamond Wedding Anniversary. Also, my wife's 81st birthday on the 5-2-2022. The food and decorations were a lovely surprise; it will be a day we will never forget. Best wishes to all at St George's.
If there is anything we can assist with, please do not hesitate to contact myself or the manager.
The staff are caring and considerate and seem to enjoy their jobs. The residents appear well cared for, and my gran likes the food. It has been straightforward to arrange visits when it's possible.
Thank you. Glad your gran is comfortable and enjoying her food! If there is anything more we could do please do not hesitate to contact me or the manager.
I cannot speak highly enough about the care and support given to Mum (and to us as a family) in the final few weeks of Mum's life. The entire team at St George's are outstanding. They keep you updated at every stage of your relative's care. Before Mum moved to St George's, the family looked at and spoke to many homes in the area. Only when we met and spoke with the manager, did we feel reassured and happy that St George's was the right home! From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
We hope to get more decorative overdue refurbishment on its way this year as the restrictions around the pandemic have eased.
Very happy overall.
Thank you for your lovely comments. Please feel free to contact us if there is anything more we can do.
My only concern when we visit, fresh cigarette smoke can be smelled (this is when visiting relative and wearing a mask). I think staff go out a side door nearby but don't close it. To me, it's not very pleasant. However, perhaps this is permitted, in which case, so be it.
Will look into the smoking issue, as that is not acceptable.
If there is anything more we could do, please do not hesitate to contact me or the manager.
Overall, very happy with each aspect of St George's.
I will pass the kind words to our staff. If there is anything more we can do, please do not hesitate to contact me or the manager.
All the staff we met with when viewing were most helpful and explained the facilities and activities. The time my wife was with St George's, she was treated with dignity and respect. Her needs were assessed early on and put in place to ensure her security, comfort and care provided was fully implemented. All the management and staff were wonderful to her and the family. Their experience showed through every time I've visited.
Thank you for your lovely and positive review. Will pass it on to our staff which will be much appreciated by them.
My husband moved into St Georges and spent 9-weeks being called for by all the staff with such care and attention. He was made comfortable and was clean and treated with kindness. Everyone was so gentle and attentive. I couldn't have asked for more. The best decision I made.
Thank you for a lovely review. Great to know your loved one settling well. Please do not hesitate if there is anything more we can do for you and/or your husband.
The care my mother is receiving is of a very high standard. The management and all the staff are great caring people; they are very friendly and courteous at all times.
Thank you for your lovely review. This will be shared with the team and greatly appreciated! If there is anything further we can do, please do not hesitate to contact me.
The manager showed me where my mum's room would be. She was very understanding of Mums needs. She made us feel at ease and understood how hard it was for us to put Mum into someone else's care. Several visits later, I would definitely recommend St Geroge's without and doubt. All the staff have been so caring and attentive to Mum. She has been washed and clean every time we visited. They are amazing people.
Thank you for your lovely review. This will be shared with the team. If there is anything more we can do for you or your mum, please do not hesitate to contact us.
I am very impressed with the care and compassion shown by all members of staff to my very frail relative, whom we have not seen for over 20-months due to Covid-19. She is clean and well cared for. We have popped in unexpectedly in the last few days, and all the staff are welcoming and genuinely care. Congratulations to the management and all the staff.
Thank you for your lovely positive review. I will pass it on to the entire team. If there is anything we can do for your loved one, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Cannot fault the staff at St George's. Any questions or queries we have had were always answered. Staff very attentive and caring. The building itself is a bit dated, but the feel of the place and the staff certainly makes up for it.
This will slowly get addressed over the next few months.
Staff work extremely hard to ensure residents are comfortable and well cared for. I will pass your positive review to them.
Husband in the nursing home, the level of care he is receiving seems to be very good. He is always clean and tidy when I visit.
Thank you for the review. We will pass the message to the staff. If there is anything we can do, please do not hesitate to contact the home manager or myself.
Staff very good.
If there is anything more we can do, please do not hesitate to contact us with The home manager or myself.
I think the bedrooms need redoing. They get well fed. Staff seem friendly enough, and my sister seems to have settled in ok.
Unfortunately, a lot of the refurbishment had been put on hold due to Covid and minimising outside staff coming in. This is the next project we are now working on. If there is anything we can do, please let us know.
Mum has been in St George's since November last year, she has dementia. Due to Covid restrictions, I've only visited in reception and mum's room, but it was heartwarming to see her on my recent visit; she was relaxed, happy and content and was smiling all the time. It's such a relief to know she is being cared for so well. The hairdresser had been, and she had been given a whole new hairstyle, superb. You never know what's going on with dementia patients, but it's quite clear Mum is happy at St George's. All the staff I've met are friendly and helpful. Thank you so very much.
Thank you for your review. Glad to know your mum has settled well. If there is anything more we can do, please let myself or the manager know. As things are easing with Covid, we should be able to focus more on the hone structure and refurbishment plans.
