Rosebridge Court care home, situated just three miles from the centre of Wigan in the small town of Hindley, is a lovely setting with a real family feel.

The home is purpose-built and designed to be welcoming for both residents and their loved ones. Boasting a beautiful enclosed garden and sensory area, as well as a cinema, café, hobby room and a hair salon, there is always something to get involved with at Rosebridge Court. For residents who like to venture out, the home's minibus provides the opportunity to get out and about in the local area.

Providing nursing dementia care, the care team go above and beyond to give residents, and their loved ones, the peace of mind that everything is taken care of. The personalised care plans are designed around the individual requirements of each person, including personal preferences and the opinions of friends and family wherever appropriate.

My wife has been resident in Rosebridge Court for about 18 months and both myself and family are fully satisfied with all aspects of her care and comfort, as I stated in a previous review.
We are notified straight away if she had any injuries or needs she may require. We speak highly of all the staff,
including the cleaning ladies and have recommended Rosebridge Court to a friend whose relative is now resident in the home and fully satisfied.

My mum has Lewy Bodie Dementia when the care home she was in told us they could not cater for her needs. We were upset as she seemed settled, however, it has been the best move for mum going to Rosebridge Court.
The staff are caring and nothing is too much trouble. The home has recently been done up
and the tv room is comfortable just like home. The food is a ten I have no complaints at all and would like to thank the staff for looking after my mum when we could no longer do so.

Before placing my mother we looked at numerous nursing homes, both in and out of borough.
This home is head and shoulders above any that we looked at, for all the reasons listed.
I never worry about my mother's care or wellbeing in Rosebridge Court, and all the family have said the same.
The staff
are outstanding and the manager is exceptional!
Just a beautiful and caring environment from start to finish.
If only all nursing homes could work to this standard.

All residents are well cared for and the staff are really polite and show they actually care about the residents.
My mother has been in this home for nearly 4 years now and I have no concerns whatsoever. I looked around 3 care homes before choosing this one and I have to say, this was the most welcoming,
friendliest and cleanest of them all. I definitely recommend this home to anyone.

Since my Mum arrived at Rosebridge Court. I have experienced during my visits nothing is too much trouble for the staff and the ultimate priority is the care, safety and welfare of all the residents. The care home is of an exceptional standard, bright, airy and very friendly. My Mum is treated with
the utmost dignity and I feel very confident that she is receiving the best care by all the staff at Rosebridge.

Mum has been a resident at Rosebridge Court for around nine months. I can honestly say that it feels like she is with extended family with the care she receives from the staff.
They know her likes, preferences and little, idiosyncratic ways.
After months in hospital where she would not eat or take
her medication, they learned how to work with her so that her weight stabilised and she settled with medication. We spend time with Mum every day and see first hand the quality of care given to all the residents.
I cannot recommend them highly enough.

My husband has been a resident for almost 2 years. His illness puts him in a very bad place in his life. I feel that the staff genuinely like my husband and are very kind and considerate to him and his needs. All that we can do for my husband is our best at all times. He has little pleasures left in
life, the staff understand this, he enjoys music and some TV programmes eg football, rugby, preferably whilst enjoying a whiskey.

The staff are Rosebridge are truly the most caring and kind people you could wish for. The care they gave my mum could not be faulted. In all the 24months that mum was there, she was happy. This gave the family peace of mind. As well as activities and outings on a regular basis, staff went the extra
mile taking her out for walks to local parks, shops, pet shops etc... Mum was a keen walker so this was special to her.
Sadly mum passed away at the end of January 2017. The end of life care for mum was the most we could have wished for.

What does ‘kindness’ mean to you?


“I believe that kind care is ensuring the needs of those we support, are put first and ensuring they are as happy as they can be.”


As a Registered Nurse, Cheryl has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people, to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life for Residents.


Cheryl closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She extends this caring approach to her Colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


She also works hard to arrange events and activities with nearby schools and clubs and is always keen to include the local community in life at Rosebridge Court.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Cheryl remarked: “the best part about my job is seeing the Residents smile. It is such a privileged feeling to see them happy.”


Outside of work, Cheryl enjoys an actively social lifestyle by camping with friends and family, regularly visiting the Lake District. She also enjoys relaxing activities such as yoga.
