My sister left sheltered housing to come here and she's much happier and safer! We love the fact there are activities and such. She joins in with a happier disposition.

We do worry about her being deaf and we arranged a hearing aid for her but due to her autism she's not happy wearing it sadly.

My aunt has settled so well here. I was apprehensive as she had additional needs and dementia, but I need not have worried. The staff are really so good. The activities for the residents are done with thought for everyone. There is always something going on in there; singers, bingo, panto, parties. I made the right decision in choosing this care home. I can now rest assured knowing my aunt's needs are not only being met, but she is having so much fun with all the lovely staff from reception, carers and housekeepers to catering. We couldn't be happier.

The staff are lovely and do their best with what whey have and are very caring. The only issue we have are when Mum's things go missing and it's very frustrating to keep having to buy more items. I get that other residents go wandering but how to stop them taking things?

Reply from Paul Lawson, National Sales Manager at Arncliffe Court Care Home

Thank you very much for your feedback and for your kind words about the staff at Arncliffe Court. We can assist with your mum's clothing as we have a new labelling machine in our laundry and families can now bring items over to be tagged. We can also provide a key for your mum's door. These...

Mum has been at Arncliffe for four years, in which she is happy and content. I like the way you can relate to the staff with any queries. I like the amount of activities they provide on a weekly basis they upload onto social media. I find most of the staff very caring and have built relationships with Mum and our family.

Mum went to Arncliffe in late December because her previous care home closed suddenly. My sister and I were delighted with our visit to Arncliffe. They promise so much but sadly deliver virtually nothing. Despite having an activities coordinator we didn't see any interaction with residents. It quickly became clear to us that Mum was becoming weaker and very unhappy. We contacted the social worker who stated we need reasons to move Mum. The reasons we stated were as follows:
Mobility - mum wasn't walked for 4 days despite being able to walk. We informed the staff that mum had been hospitalised earlier in the year due to dehydration and that she needed a beaker as per her care plan. She was given a heavy mug of hot tea. She was often left soaking wet.

Mum was a falls risk, she required a low-profile bed which was in her room when we visited but was exchanged for a divan. She had 2 falls. Mum was taken to A&E and admitted to the hospital on 6/1/23. Mum is now fine, in a different home.

Our experience of this care home is it is run by a Management that promises everything but delivers nothing. In my experience, the home is not clean. In my experience, they do not care for their residents. They left my dad screaming for help and didn't attend to his needs. They didn't return when they said they would. The room was cold. I would not recommend this care home for anyone's loved ones.

My mum was having palliative care for the final two weeks of her life and the love, care and attention given to my mum was of the highest possible standard. We knew that she was being loved when we could not be there. We cannot thank the staff enough and hope they all stay safe and well in this present climate. Love from me and all my family.

My experience for my mum has been very good indeed. Management went beyond to help me secure respite for my elderly mother. Contacted social workers etc and made me feel at ease and reassured. Mum loved her stay so much she was upset when the time came to leave. The staff were wonderful with her and kept her well looked after.

My mum moved into Arncliffe Court a few months ago and has settled in really well and made some very close friends. The whole of the staff and team are all fantastic and very compassionate in all that they do. My mum is encouraged to get involved with activities and it's lovely to see evidence of this on their Facebook page. I would highly recommend Arncliffe Court to anyone looking for care. They have really given us peace of mind knowing my mum is looked after.

Having had experience of several care homes/nursing homes I feel the Childwall unit at Arncliffe is a special unit. The staff are so welcoming, kind and caring; they appear to be so happy in their jobs, so motivated by management and it shows in their care of the residents. The atmosphere is Childwall is calm and peaceful. I feel Childwall has the right balance - the residents feel safe, secure, cared for and loved.
