At Hillside, the experienced and highly qualified team has fostered a warm and friendly environment where everyone is treated with dignity and respect. They prioritise promoting residents' independence and enhancing their quality of life.

The home offers a range of care services including short and long-term dementia nursing and residential care, as well as convalescence, palliative, Parkinson's, and care for young physically disabled individuals. Mum always in clean condition, washed hair etc.
Staff always pleasant and helpful.
Was a but weary her being transferred here due to closedown, but not problems with transfer or settling in.

I cannot being to explain how good the staff are at Hillside Care Home. For the short time my uncle was there, they treated him with ultimate respect, dignity, love and care. The senior Nurses were amazing as were all the staff from the cleaners to the carers. Thank you all so much for what you have

Today we visited our mum, the visit took place in her bedroom. Looking out of the window, we saw one of the health care workers who we thought had left. Mum noticed him and asked us to call him over to the window. He was just amazing, chatting away to mum, her face brightened upon seeing and engaging
with him. What a delightful young man he was, please pass our thanks on to him for his time today, which was a break for him. Thank you, you made our visit special today. We hope to see you again soon.

In October 2020 my sister was discharged from the local hospital, into the care of Hillside in a very frail and confused state. She was very underweight and has always been one for not liking a variety of foods. At home, Covid didn't help as she shielded, not venturing out and this accelerated her mental
decline through isolation. The staff have welcomed her as if she was family and given her a better quality of life she lacked at home. I found the staff to be very good and caring. Her weight has increased by some 10kgs even with her picky diet. I would recommend Hillside for your loved one.

Dad has been a resident for two and a half years, and straight away, felt at home. I am a regular visitor and know Dad is well looked after. All his needs are catered for and is always shown dignity and respect by all staff who are always happy to help and support in any way. Home is bright and spacious
and always clean, and I would recommend to anyone needing care.

This is a lovely home for my brother. He gets on well with some of the staff. He likes his room very much, likes to talk with staff, and the ones who are there to put his TV on, and he loves to have time in the afternoon with his book.

The care in this home you will go far and wide to get carers like these. They are not only there for the resident, they are there for you. They listen to your concerns and act. My son has been here 3 years. I have never had cause for complaint on any level. Brilliant staff and care. Cannot fault it
at all. Ask my son he loves it.

My Mum recently passed away at Hillside after living there for quite some time. My mum had a progressive illness which meant she could pass at any time. Every time I visited Mum she was always clean, comfortable and had a smile on her face. I must say that they made the time she had left the best they
could. I went once during her changing routine and I patiently waited outside whilst listening to a couple of the staff singing to mum and mum laughing the whole time. That was the best and most reassuring thing you could ever hear. I want to say a very big thank you for everything you have done.

All staff are pleasant, hard-working, nothing is too much trouble and always ready to listen when I am worried. My bedroom is clean, bedding changed daily and kept tidy. The food is of a high standard, plenty of choice and portion size good. I enjoy the activities that Hillside provide, and I would
like more of these. I always feel that I am treated with respect and dignity. I feel safe and comfortable here.

My mum has vascular dementia which causes her to be very confused and distressed. Staff can't do enough to help, changing strategies sometimes daily, to ease her confusion and engaging with her in conversation or encouraging her to move, eat and drink.
I am very grateful for their support too as, at
times, I find it distressing.

I think Hillside Care Home is an amazing home. The staff give the most amazing care, they are very understanding and very very supportive they are always there for the resident giving them the most amazing care in every way I wouldn't want, my mum to live in any other place.

I STRONGLY DISAGREE with CQC rating of this care home as inadequate. My mother-in-law has been a resident since September 2018 and I have found all the staff at Hillside to be professional, caring, supportive and friendly. When I have needed to ask them anything they are always willing to stop and help.
I have found Hillside to be kept clean and tidy which was important to the family when we were looking at care homes for Mum.

My mum came to Hillside Care Home on the 24th September 2018. From the very first day, my mum has been treated with the utmost courtesy, respect and professional care. Both nursing staff and HCA staff are exceptional. Nothing is ever too much trouble. Any concerns I may have about my mum are dealt with
straight away. My mum is always kept clean and comfortable. The home is kept clean and welcoming at all times. I couldn't ask for a better place for mum in the final stages of her life.
