The home offers a range of care services including short and long-term dementia nursing and residential care, as well as convalescence, palliative, Parkinson's, and care for young physically disabled individuals. I think Hillside Care Home are taking very great care of my stepfather and I have no complaints whatsoever. He gets all the care and attention he needs.

My experience with Hillside Care Home has been very positive. My sister-in-law is always very clean and comfortable when we visit. The staff are very warm and welcoming and are willing to answer any questions I may have.

Since my mum has been a resident of Hillside Care Home, all the family have noticed that her personal care is well looked after. Mum is always clean, her hair is always done and her clothes are always clean. She is very settled and appears to like the staff. I have personally noticed how attentive the
staff are and I feel safe in the knowledge that my mum is being well looked after. I am very happy with the care that Hillside gives to my mum.

My partner has resided here since 3rd September 2018.
She was admitted on end of life package, the treatment prescribed was palliative which included DNR.
Since her admission, her progress with the help of nurses and carers is superb. She is now comfortable and peaceful, with a very good appetite
and great sleeping pattern.
On behalf of the family and myself, we attribute her well being to the dedicated staff (nurses and carers).

My mother has been a resident since September 2018 and I have found all the staff at Hillside to be professional and caring, when I have needed to ask them anything they are always willing to stop and help, I have found Hillside to be kept clean and tidy which was important to the family when we where
looking at care homes for Mum.

My mum has been in 5 previous homes and this is by far the best one. The staff are lovely and look after my mum's every need. The building and facilities are great, the home is always clean and fresh and there is always staff who will help with anything that is needed. I can't praise this home enough.

Dad moved to Hillside on 15th July. We have been very pleased with the care he is receiving, as he has had a chest infection, doctor called and care and treatment given. He now looks better and well kept. The first few days he was much brighter and alert, as I'm sure he will be gain when better.

Mum has always received the best care from all the staff who are very friendly, helpful, cheerful and can't do enough.
Mum is now bedridden and is always clean and fresh, is hydrated and fed to a good standard.
All the family are very pleased with mum's care and are happy that she is in such a good
environment.

Husband was admitted 6 months ago, care was adequate at this time but many issues and areas of concern were raised and acted upon. His diet was not nourishing or appropriate for a diabetic (spaghetti hoops and baked beans, lack of fresh vegetables and fruit).
Under new present management, there has
been a vast improvement, his diet is now excellent.
He is clean and comfortable at all times.
His medication, blood monitoring and all care needs are now being met. He is content and settled.

My husband is paralysed and can only communicate by facial expressions or pointing, and I am really happy with the care and understanding of carers, nurses etc.
My husband does have full capacity and enjoys a good laugh with all the staff.
The food is not always what he can eat but they do their best
to accommodate.
On the whole, I cannot fault anyone in Hillside that cares for my husband.

I feel that my Mum is in a safe and caring environment with varied activities, however, staffing could be increased when there are personal needs to be met. Hillside smells fresh and the rooms are cleaned to a high standard every day, the availability of a daily bath is much appreciated by my Mum as
is the weekly 'hair do'. Mum enjoys her poetry class, occasional game of bingo, and there are different activities organised each day by encouraging staff.

IF for one minute I was not completely satisfied with the Care, conditions & treatments received by my Niece, I would have taken action by now.
She is happy, and has improved greatly from her condition when transferred there from the Hospital.
ALL the Staff are capable, kind, welcoming and friendly,
and they treat all Residents calmly and efficiently, and with respect.
They have a very demanding job, but their performance is A1
