The staff are extremely pleasant and helpful. They went out of their way to make sure my mum was comfortable, and all her needs were met.
The facilities are excellent, and there is lots of entertainment for the residents to enjoy and partake in.
Overall, I am extremely pleased with the level of care
shown by the home and its staff, and would highly recommend.

Food can be hit and miss - sometimes, it is of excellent quality, and at other times is poor.
Sometimes, the availability of certain foods is poor - certain items not available are bacon, marmalade, drinking chocolate, cheese and coffee. These are all items my mum has requested and been told are not
available.
Care staff are kind, caring and excellent at what they do.

Always find the staff extremely helpful and caring, and Mum's room is always nice and clean. Mum also seems very happy, which is all that really matters.

Whenever I have visited all staff have appeared to be very kind, considerate and caring towards my relative, who can be difficult and aggressive at times. Due to her having cognitive functioning issues and feeling frightened in unfamiliar surroundings.

Overall disgusting. Poor care. Scabies. I left with bites on my hands. A lot of issues I will be reporting. Staff ringing me and being very nasty on the phone. Care is very poor, dirty. I had to have my say as my mum had no curtain on her bedroom and her room overlooks the car park.

My husband has only been in the Orchard for a short time, but what a difference! He is now comfortable and cared for with dignity and respect. His needs are being met in an empathetic and caring manner, plus any needs that he has from outside agencies are included in his care. Management registered
general nurses and carers are interested in his well being and ensure his needs are met. I can now sleep at night knowing my husband is in good hands. Food is exceptional too.

My aunt has only been at this home for a week. We have found the home very friendly and homely and the staff helpful and obliging. We have noticed how warm the home is, it's clean and smells nice. My aunt enjoys the food as well. We have found the staff really caring and helpful.

My mother moved to Orchard Nursing in May 2019 after being in Orchard Residental for 3 months. She suffers a high level of anxiety and due to blindness is at high risk of falls, this appears to be managed well by the staff who are patient and understanding. I am confident she is in safe and in caring
hands.

Mum went into your care after a short stay in hospital. She rapidly went downhill and she passed away on 07/11/19. Whilst she was with you, she received excellent care from all of your staff.
They administered end of life treatment and each and every person treated mum with care and compassion.
They
were kind to the family and addressed our concerns professionally. Our family would recommend Orchard Nursing to everybody.

My husband was in a nursing home which closed unexpectedly and it was with some trepidation that we visited Orchard. We were very impressed by the person who showed us around but still felt apprehensive when my husband moved there. How wrong we were!
From the first day, my husband and all members
of the family were treated brilliantly. Every member of staff has been so kind and have gone out of their way to make my husband's stay as comfortable as possible. From the laundry's attention to detail, cleaners' efficiency, catering staff only too willing to make food substitutions when asked, the carers' respectful and gentle approach and the nursing staff's kindness and professionalism, they all go the extra mile and it shows.
My family and I would not hesitate in recommending Orchard as an excellent nursing home and we will sorely miss our daily visits and meeting every one of the wonderful staff.

A nursing home that actually feels like home from home! The Orchard Huyton should be given as an example of how to run a home in a professional and empathetic manner! Before I found this place I was stressed as I had seen 9 other care homes and I wouldn't have used any. The staff are the most committed
I have ever seen and actually use their gut instinct when they think nan is unwell but cannot find any issues. They work tirelessly day in day out - they treat my nan like their own nan and for me this is priceless - they handle her like she is a China doll - communication is daily and this I believe is because they actually made the effort to build relationships with us, wanting to know all about nan and her family - I leave the home confident that my nan is in safe hands.

The staff make or break nursing homes. In the Orchard the staff make it, they are the most helpful, polite and caring people I have met.
We walk away from the Orchard knowing our loved one is in good and safe hands.
