Overall Experience

My father spent the last year of his life at MossView. He was so happy. They cared for him like a member of the family and he could truly say he felt very much 'at home' (something he never thought he would say about living in a nursing home). Despite being one of the most dependent residents, he was never made to feel like he was putting anyone out when he needed help. He was always cared for promptly and with compassion. The rapport he had with the staff was heartwarming to watch, they truly made him feel very special and maintained his dignity at all times.

The standard of nursing care was very high (speaking as a nurse myself). He was always referred to other services as soon as required and this was always followed up on so there was never a delay; whether he needed to see a doctor, Physio, OT, Tissue Viability Nurse etc or whether he just needed his ears syringed or hearing aid checked.

The food is of a very high standard, and when dad didn't feel like eating what was on offer, they would make him whatever he asked for.

Dad's room was not big, but it had a lovely view over the gardens.

I would highly recommend this nursing home to anyone. Finding a good care home for your loved one is a minefield. Dad spent time in 2 other care homes before this one which left him traumatised. The staff in this home cared for him on every level with compassion and respect. For that I am truly grateful.

I want to congratulate the manager on the amazing job she does maintaining the highest possible standard of care for the most vulnerable members of our society.

To the Manager and every member of staff, thank you.
