Can I just say that my husband Alan has only been in this nursing home for 5 months and I can see such an improvement in him , He is always clean and happy and well looked after here .The food is very good and always hot , They get breakfast

11-0 tea biscuits or tined fruit .Mid day dinner, afternoon tea and cake then evening meal at 5 o clock and later coffee or tea with snack . The staff are very attentive to there needs and work very hard to make the residents feel at home .I think the standard of care in this home is exceptional .He has his own room with TV, on suite and a reclining bed so he can sit up when ever he wants .It was the best decision I made putting him in Orrell Grange and thank the staff so much for caring for him .

If I could give zero stars I would! Orrell Grange should never be able to care for residents. My grandad was here from 31st December 2024 until 17th May 2025 when he unfortunately passed. If your loved one is needing any end of life care please do not consider this place! If you need any looking after they do not care. They will ask family members to collect & return medication they kick family out of the room when their loved one is dying! They don't answer the call button until you have to go and get them yourself the staff should be ashamed of themselves. My mum even had to beg for an Ambulance when my grandad was unwell which the staff said this was down to the hot weather, this actually turned out to be pneumonia. The manager Bernie is all singing & dancing until you actually raise concerns then she's nowhere to be found! We actually have a safe guarding complaint which was raised by one of the district nurses. That place should not be open!! Could go on a lot more about this place.

We’d like to express our thanks and gratitude to you all for the wonderful care you provide to our Dad. We also value the respect and courtesy every member of staff extends to our Mum during her daily visits to see Dad, you really do make her feel part of the Orrell Grange family.
The nursing and care staff regularly update us on Dad's care. Any concerns are discussed immediately as well as what’s working well for Dad and anything new, the team are trying to keep Dad as comfortable as possible. These are always two-way conversations and are input is always welcome and very much appreciated. Any interaction we have with the sub-teams; kitchen, domestic, laundry, entertainment, maintenance and administration are always polite, professional and nothing is ever too much trouble.

As a family, we are extremely grateful to you all knowing that our loved one is in very safe hands.

We were happy with the care and support that our dad received during the two years he was a resident. His needs were listened to and catered for in respect of where he spent his time and the food he ate. Thank you.

The culture, ways of working are excellent. This is due to the manager who engages herself with residents, their families and staff. It is clear her ethics and ways of working feed through to her staff. Mum was treated with utmost respect at all times. Everyone gave their utmost to help Mum despite her being very close to the end of life. I cannot thank them enough.

The manager and her staff treat residents like family and give a high level of care. Food is of a high standard, always clean. Residents are kept entertained at all times and nothing is a trouble to staff members, I would recommend this care home to anyone looking to place a loved one.

Awful care home. We took our dad out of this care home because very very poor management, nursing and admin team. This care home is currently being investigated. Give vaccines without family consent. My dad passed away 2 months after he left here. I have reported this care home to the GMC, NMC, CQC local MP, and the police. Needs urgent review and new management. I would like to say more but not allow on here, but it is all true. The owners 1st Care Limited do not carry out any independent investigations, they get the staff you have made a complaint about do the investigation.

Please do not send any of your family members here please!
