Reviews

6.5 Paisley Court has a Review Score of 6.5 (6.508)

The Review Score of 6.5 (maximum of 10) for Paisley Court is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.6 out of 5 from 5 Reviews over all time. This Average Rating is also the rating value for Paisley Court in Google's Search Results - more info

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 1.9 out of 5 from 3 positive Reviews in the last 2 years. (A 2 year period has been used as there were no positive reviews in the last 12 months)

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating of all Reviews over all time. For each review the Care Home / service is rated Excellent, Good, Satisfactory, Poor or Very Poor on a number of areas eg Staff, Management etc. The Care Home receives points for each rating as follows: Excellent = 5. Good = 4. Satisfactory = 3. Poor = 2. Very Poor = 1. These points are added up and then divided by the total number of completed ratings to generate the average rating.

    The Average Rating of 4.633 for Paisley Court is calculated as follows: ( (43 Excellents x 5) + (12 Goods x 4) + (5 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 60 Ratings = 4.633

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 12 months. If there are no Positive Reviews in the last 12 months, then 2.5 points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 2 years. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with 'Extremely Likely' or 'Likely' in answer to the question 'How likely are you to recommend this Care Home to friends and family if they needed similar care or treatment?'

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 5 Positive Reviews, 3 points for the first Positive Review and then 0.25 Points for each of the next 4 Positive Reviews.

    2. 1 point is available for reaching a target number of Positive Reviews based on 20% of the number of registered maximum number of service users. If the target is partially reached then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home with 50 registered maximum number of service users has a target of 10 Positive Reviews, if it has 10 or more Positive Reviews it will receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews will receive 0.7 points.

    3. If there are no Positive Reviews in the last 12 months, then 2.5 points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 2 years. The calculation is the same as above, except the points are divided by 2.

The 1.875 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Paisley Court is based on 3 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows:

    1. 3 + 0.25 + 0.25 = 3.5 then divided by 2 = 1.750

    2. Target of 12 positive Reviews (60 registered maximum number of service users ÷ 5). 3 Reviews ÷ 12 Target = 0.250 , then divided by 2 = 0.125

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

When my husband became ill, and it was apparent that he needed residential care, it was important to me that he was safe, comfortable and treated with dignity. At Paisley Court he is, all of those, and with good-humoured respect!
The home is bright, light and comfortable, but it is the staff who make this home special. Everyone - nursing staff, care staff, cleaning staff, admin staff - makes an effort to get to know the residents and their families.

The care provided to my husband is second to none. All staff from the management to kitchen staff do their utmost to accommodate my husbands needs. He always looks well groomed, which is attributed to the caring staff at Paisley Court.
Because my husband was in a different care home previously. I am in a position to compare the two, I can honestly say, I can arrive home each day after visiting with peace of mind knowing he is well looked after. Thank you Paisley Court.

At the onset of her vascular dementia after she was sectioned and spent some time in a local psychiatric hospital my wife was transferred to Paisley Court. To begin with I had misgivings about what to expect. We were greeted by the manager, who was kindness itself. She introduced us to the senior nurse and two carers who took charge of my wife and treated like a friend. To begin with she was treated on a one-to-one basis until she settled in. Since then, the atmosphere in the home has been marvellous and I couldn't find any fault with treatment, care or friendly attitude of the entire staff both to my wife and myself. In Paisley Court you have created a truly friendly and caring home.
