Overall Experience

At the onset of her vascular dementia after she was sectioned and spent some time in a local psychiatric hospital my wife was transferred to Paisley Court. To begin with I had misgivings about what to expect. We were greeted by the manager, who was kindness itself. She introduced us to the senior nurse and two carers who took charge of my wife and treated like a friend. To begin with she was treated on a one-to-one basis until she settled in. Since then, the atmosphere in the home has been marvellous and I couldn't find any fault with treatment, care or friendly attitude of the entire staff both to my wife and myself. In Paisley Court you have created a truly friendly and caring home.

The care provided to my husband is second to none. All staff from the management to kitchen staff do their utmost to accommodate my husbands needs. He always looks well groomed, which is attributed to the caring staff at Paisley Court.

Because my husband was in a different care home previously. I am in a position to compare the two, I can honestly say, I can arrive home each day after visiting with peace of mind knowing he is well looked after. Thank you Paisley Court.

Christina OwensJob Title Home Manager

Residents are at the forefront of everything we do here at Paisley Court. We consider it a huge privilege to care for them and are proud their families trust us to do this.

I am a registered nurse and have worked my way up from carer to home manager which has been a big career highlight for me. I chose to work for Care UK because I am particularly interested in caring for residents with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia.

In all care roles, you need to have empathy and patience. Even more so when you support those living with dementia. I find having a good sense of humour helps immensely too.

For me, I think the best part of every day is knowing that residents and colleagues are happy here. Paisley Court is a wonderful home with a great family atmosphere where we support each other in a caring and nurturing way.

In my spare time, I like to walk, swim and spend time with my family.
