Mum entered her new home here in Birkdale Park on October 23rd. It was her decision and she embraced everything you need to offer. Mum was becoming more isolated at home, yes she saw family but friendships were few. Very soon she became an active member of the 'Blue Slipper Gang' meeting in the lounge to enjoy craft, make shortbread and sing and dance with the very full programme of events. Though her stay was relatively short, her life ended with a wonderful quality of care she would never experience anywhere else. I can't thank you enough.
Thank you for sharing such kind words. We're grateful your mum chose to make Birkdale Park her home, and it was a privilege to support her. We're so pleased she found friendship, purpose, and joy in our activities and community. Although her time with us was short, we are honoured to have been part...
She is settled and mostly happy, which is a great relief to myself, my sister & brother.
Thank you.
Thank you again for your kind words - we truly appreciate them. Yours Jonathan
I have been visiting for almost a year now, a couple of times a week mostly. The staff are always pleasant and helpful. The food is excellent. The building, floors, beds are always clean. My mum (93) is being well looked after in a lovely place. Thankyou for all you do.

Very pleasant. We were offered tea/coffee & biscuit & when we arrived. Our friend appears to be happy & well cared for. We stayed for over an hour and chatted. The staff were very nice & before we left served lunch which looked delicious, I quite wished we had been staying.
Thank you so much for your lovely feedback. We'll be sharing your comments with the staff, as they'll be delighted to know their care and kindness have made a difference. Messages like yours really brighten our days.

I cannot recommend highly enough. All of the staff are amazing, so caring and thoughtful as well as ultimate professionals. They cared for my dad for a year. My mum pretty much visited him every day and she was always welcomed and treated as one of the Birkdale Park family. If you are looking for somewhere for your loved one you would be hard pushed to find a better place. You can be reassured they will be in the best of hands and treated with the utmost care and respect.
Thank you so much for your kind and generous words. It was a true privilege to care for your dad during his time with us, and we were incredibly fond of him. He brought warmth and character to our home, and we all genuinely loved looking after him. Your mum, our beloved Home Matron - became such an...
This care home is excellent in the care that it provides. Being an old building with extensions, the room facilities are not perfect but the care of the residents far out weighs any negatives in the building. Cleanliness is excellent. Food seems very good and my step mother doesn't complain. Although she is not keen to participate in activities much they do provide a very varied programme. Staff are excellent and most friendly and welcoming. Management are keen to learn and improve if relatives have any suggestions to offer.
Thank you for your kind review of Birkdale Park Nursing Home. We're delighted you appreciate the exceptional care our dedicated team provides. While our building has traditional charm, we ensure it remains warm, homely, and comfortable, complemented by our modern wing. Our outstanding staff go above...

Dear Dee, Many thanks for your kind comments and review. We have a wonderful team at Birkdale Park, and ensuring that we have two nurses on duty-especially during the day-is a key aspect of our care delivery. In addition, during the day, we have seven carers on shift. We seldom use agency staff, as...
I find the staff very warming and welcoming. From when you first step into the home, the reception staff greet you well. I am very impressed with the nursing team and entertainment team. I cannot say a bad word against any of the care team, facilities or catering. Thank you for what you all do.
Many thanks for your kind review of our services. The staff are wonderful, the reception team outstanding and our nursing team out of this world (but of course I am biased lol). Thank you again for taking the time to review Birkdale Park.
Very good, feels so caring and accommodating.

Very welcoming on our arrival, tea and coffee offered then a delicious lunch. Regular check-ins that we were alright. All staff friendly, personable and happy to help.
Thank you so much for the kind review. We try our best for our residents. It is always a delighted to see relatives and friends at Birkdale Park.
The care at Birkdale Park is excellent. From what I have seen, carers deliver the same care that I would expect them to provide to their own families. Nothing is too much.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review. We appreciate that it takes time to express your views but these words provide so much comfort to those who are seeking and looking for care. I will pass on your lovely comments to our fabulous care team. Thank you again.

This is my first visit from abroad to see my uncle who is a resident. The welcome from reception is very warm and great. We had biscuits and a brew. The atmosphere and staff are friendly and helpful.
May I thank you so much for taking the time to review our Birkdale Park. It is wonderful you mentioned about our warm home. Staff are fabulous and are always asking if guests would like a cup of tea! Thank you again for your comments.

We would like to thank all the staff at Birkdale Park Nursing Home for their exceptional care of my father during his final days and for the care and compassion also shown to us, his family. Although only at the home for a short time, everybody welcomed Dad and made him and us feel so welcome, cared for and special. The exceptional day and night nursing and care staff provided outstanding nursing care and support to keep Dad comfortable and nothing was too much trouble. The professional advice and friendly, caring support provided to us, as a family, was exceptional and helped us immensely through an extremely difficult time. I cannot recommend the home highly enough.

My mum only spent seven days in the care at Birkdale Park Nursing Home as prior to this, she was living completely independently. Mum had always been determined that she would never go to a care home and as her daughter, I felt the same. However, once a care home became the only viable option, we accepted Birkdale Park and I'm so glad we did. The staff and care were exemplary. The manager has created an outstanding team of caring and talented individuals. Thank you. Those seven days were the very best we could have hoped for.
Denise, many thanks for your beautiful words regarding your mum's stay at Birkdale Park. It was an honour to look after her. We do have the most wonderful staff who are exceptional at what they do. It is a privilege to do what we do at Birkdale Park and I will be sure to convey your lovely words the them too. Thank you again and love to the family.

Jonathan is the Registered Care Manager and eldest son of the owner Mrs Cunningham. Birkdale Park is very special to Jonathan as it is where he grew up as a child and watched the home convert into a nursing home in the mid 1980s. Room 27 is his old bedroom! Jonathan has had a varied career. He spent 16 years in the Army reaching the rank of Major, he was awarded an MBE in 2010 for operational service and now uses all his leadership skills at Birkdale Park leading his amazing care team. He has been awarded multiple awards for services to social care and is a regular voice and face on radio and TV speaking about his passion for elderly care. He loves his team and his role as a registered care manager. He is the continuity over the care home and provides a calm hand of reassurance to staff, residents and relatives.
