Nestled within the attractive area of Wallasey, close to the River Mersey, Leighton Court care home offers personalised residential, nursing and nursing dementia care to older people.

The purpose-built home has a range of comfortable and tastefully decorated en-suite rooms, as well as a hair salon and a pretty, landscaped garden, which is a very popular spot to relax and watch the world go by.

Overall good care and excellent food. Very friendly and cooperative staff. Only slight complaint - not asked if you would like a shower/hair wash enough. (Body washes excellent)

My father was very poorly and couldn't be discharged home. He was given a place at Leighton Court for intermediate care. The manager was excellent. She involved us in everything that was going on and we, as a family, couldn't believe how well our Dad looks on discharge today. We really felt he would
have to go into a permanent home but the exceptional care overseen by the Manager ensured an excellent recovery for our Dad. We cannot thank them enough.

I was very anxious about going into a care home for IMC but once in Leighton court for a few days, I completely settled. The staff are so kind and caring, nothing is too much trouble, the food is amazing and plentiful.
The physiotherapy was very good too. The building and room itself could do with
a bit of updating. But overall, my stay has been wonderful.

All staff are extremely pleasant and willing to help in any way. Physiotherapists had me up and moving about very quickly enabling me to return home within three weeks.
Occupational therapists carried out a home visit and had equipment delivered and rails etc. fitted within a short space of time.
The
care navigator was very pleasant and easy to talk to and ensured any help required was offered.

The staff at Leighton Court have provided my granddad with outstanding care. The home is warm and welcoming and the staff are caring, compassionate and understanding. My grandad's health has improved as a result of the staff at Leighton Court.

The care and attention, also the kindness of all the staff on the first floor of the above care home is really outstanding. I cannot praise them all highly enough. The standard of cleanliness is very high. The food is generally very acceptable.

They seemed a long way from home, however, your staff helped me and step by step I've made progress and improving my recovery.
When I press the help button, a bit too often, the staff always treated me with dignity.
In the new wet room, with help from a staff member, I was able to have a bath.

My mum was admitted as a very poorly emergency placement. So it was all a bit fast and scary. Staff were amazing, so calm and practical, explained everything to us. Within a week my mum was eating again and had perked right up, mum said it's like "one big family". Excellent home!
