Dad went into Court Nursing Home in February 2026 due to his advancing dementia care needs, and stayed til he died in May. As a family this was our first real experience of the care system and so we were very nervous, concerned and worried if we had done the right thing. To be honest the first visual impressions of the home might not be the best but what they lack in fancy reception areas and the like, they make up for with a team of people who are very focussed on delivering the best care they can to the residents they are looking after. We can't praise the team highly enough; the senior professionals, care team, cooks. cleaners were all great - competent and caring. They didn't just look after dad but they also looked after us. There was always full disclosure of what was happening and we were a part of any necessary decisions. An open door policy allowed us to visit whenever we wanted to and in the last few days they allowed us to stay around the clock.
Thank you to everybody.
Speaking from experience from my mum being poorly & spotting the early signs of sepsis & pneumonia.
Mum is still here with me.
All the care team are great with the residents going over & above for them.
The activities team make a fantastic effort with all the residents, from taking them out to playing games.
Also family / friends of residents are all involved on a social messaging group. Which is fantastic to see what they do to keep them busy & entertained.
The rooms are cosy & well equipped.
Food is delicious, as I have also been invited on many occasions to eat with my mum.
To ALL the staff at The Court Nursing Home - Thank you.
My dad has been a resident at the court nursing home for 16 months now . I visit everyday , he is always very well looked after , very clean and tidy , the staff interact very well with my dad and myself . I am always kept updated of any changes . Staff have always been very supportive of my dad and myself and I feel he couldn't be in a better home for standard of care . Management and nursing staff are exellent I highly recommend this nursing home
Do not recommend court nursing home found no communication between staff and family members items stolen when reported nothing from management neglected my mother in law requests ignored including medical negligence never informed of medicines being changed general hygiene appalling.
Please refer to our latest inspections including a good PAMMS/ High rating of 93% for infection control and relative/resident/professional reviews of the service which will be published in due course. I can also verify that there have been no upheld negligence claims/Safeguarding matters in...
The standard of care and staff members are appalling, absolutely appalling. I have tried to email the manager and owner. They haven't got an updated email so can't send my complaint. Hopefully get a call back tomorrow! But I doubt it.
Thanks for your review. After investigation and review of surveillance I can conclude that while we aim to resolve any issues without the need to ask visitors to leave, unfortunately we are unable to allow visitors to vape in communal areas or allow them to cause staff to feel uncomfortable in...
My sister was a resident for two months before she died in The Court, July 2020. In that time she was treated with all the care, dignity and respect a family could wish for. She’d had a pretty devastating time in the 4 months before, exacerbated inevitably by the COVID-19 pandemic, but within hours of her becoming a resident at The Court, the family were reassured that she was in safe, caring and highly professional hands. Covid-19 presented many challenges but at every turn, staff endeavoured to make sure that my sister remained in touch with family, that we were kept fully informed of her care and treatment needs and that she was part of The Court's extended family. Much of the contact had to be via telephone, WhatsApp, Skype etc but leadership and teamwork were self-evident and I cannot praise the staff highly enough. Nothing seemed too much trouble for them. In the unprecedented times of Covid19, this distressing time was made more bearable by the love and compassion shown to us all.
Thank you for such a kind review. We are very grateful to have met her and her wonderful family.
The staff at The Court were caring and compassionate. The senior staff were always ready to discuss his care and treatment with me and the carers were always ready with a cup of tea and a chat to ease me through.
His time in their care was made as comfortable and pain free as was possible.
I would like to say a big thank you to all the staff at The Court for all their kindness and care.
Thank you.
My sister was a resident of The Court for the last 5 months of her life. During the first three months or so she could sometimes be difficult, aggressive and often screamed. This, of course, was due to her illness. The staff at the home just couldn't have been more kind, compassionate or caring. She was treated with all the dignity and respect that could have possibly been afforded to her. During the last ten days of her life, her daughter and I were with her all the time. Except to go home to rest at night. We witnessed at first hand what an amazing team of very special people run The Court Nursing home. Her primary carers deserve a special thank you. They know who they are. The rest of the staff including domestic staff, night staff, nursing and caring staff were exceptional. They all made this extremely distressing time as bearable and comforting as it could be. Huge thanks to one and all. I'll never be able to thank you enough.
