My mum moved to this care home from a residential home as she required nursing care as she has Alzheimer's and her condition had deteriorated along with Covid complications, my mum was very frail and had very poor fluid and diet intake.
Mum was offered a lovely room and moved into Norway lodge in
March 2021. After only a week my mum's dietary and fluid intake had improved substantially as the nursing staff encouraged my mum with lots of patients and thinking out of the box with techniques to meet her care needs. Mum has been a resident at Norway Lodge for over a year now and always looks well looked after and is still continuing to have a well-balanced diet even though she takes lots of time to assist with this. The staff are lovely with her and can't thank them enough.
I would recommend this nursing home to family and friends if they were in the same position with there loved ones .

We were the executors of a service user and have been treated appallingly by the senior staff from the date of his death. I have literally been shouted at and abused and when I requested documents and answers to questions I was insulted by 2 members of staff. I have tape recordings of this. When I asked
if I could record the telephone calls I was shouted at but told that I was rude and they had witnesses. On the day after the service user's death, I had to have an open conversation in front of apparently numerous witnesses. I was threatened with a report to my professional body and was told that they doubted I was a legal person!
Neither I nor the other executor have been treated with even a modicum of courtesy and any requests for information have been either ignored or sidestepped by the obstruction of these 2 people.
I have concerns over what was said about one executor and the conduct of one senior member. I am reporting this matter to the CQC, Social Services, and my MP.

Reply from Chris Read, Administrator at Norway Lodge Nursing Home

Norway Lodge Nursing home is very sorry that you feel you have been treated badly in relation to this matter. We were most surprised to read your comments, we never expected that a learned barrister would act in this way. We are concerned that you can review our home without ever visiting us. For further details concerning our home please read our latest CQC review.
In relation to the legal documents, you have been supplied with all the documents you have previously requested. Any document you have requested and not received is due to GDPR rules as it would provide information you were not entitled to. As for the witness, I was that witness that day and your behaviour was not becoming of a legal representative.
