My nan moved to safe harbour last year and the level of care she has received has been phenomenal! She has not been this happy in years, and you can tell the staff are so dedicated, knowledgeable, and supportive to each service user there.
It was recently her birthday, and they even arranged a birthday party for all our family to come, provided the decorations, cake, tea and coffee and made it a special day for everyone.
The home is cleaner than any i've seen, and the rooms are lovely.
There are constant activities on for the users there, which is so reassuring and lovely to see.

Couldn't wish for a better place for my nan to be. 10/10!

My aunt's mood in the main has been better since being at safe harbour. I have, so far, always found her in the lounge, whereas prior to this, in her own home, she had mostly taken to her bed, which affected her mood. The staff have always been kind and helpful, even putting up very well with her grumpy, complaining times (which is nothing new!).

My Mum and Dad lived at Safe Harbour Dementia Care Home Bebington between April 2023 and June 2025.
Every aspect of their care and wellbeing was catered for by all of the caring, dedicated staff.
Mum and dad felt at home at all times, they were able to treat the staff as friends, they were treated with dignity and respect at all times. Staff went out of their way to facilitate requests made by us regarding hospital visits and other outings and events. Mum and dad enjoyed the extensive activities and enrichment sessions and the regular visits from musicians, performers and exhibitor's laid on by the dedicated activities team.
Feed back from staff at all levels was well communicated and we always felt reassured that we knew what was going on.
When my dad was in end of life care we were very happy that he was at Safe Harbour with staff who he knew and we all trusted.

Our family is very grateful for the care which Mum and Dad received during their stay at Safe Harbour.

Reply from Holly Dooley, HR Manager at Safe Harbour Dementia Care Home Bebington

Thank you for a kind review. Having Mum and dad with us was so heartwarming watching them enjoy activities together. A fond memory of mine is them sitting together holding the meerkats, the laughter was so lovely to see. Mum certainly missed dad when he passed away. Thank you for your support as a family, you are all missed.

My husband has now been in Safe Harbour for twelve months and the care and attention he has received and is still receiving are second to none. I would recommend this home to anyone who asks. The staff are always entertaining the residents with something different each day and regularly have singers in to encourage the residents to join in which they do with much enjoyment.

I would like to thank Safe Harbour for their care for my dads unfortunate short time with them due to his aggressive illnes, he was taken great care of, all the staff were lovely, nothing was too much trouble, very compassionate, professional and we were treated with great dignity when he sadly passed away. Huge thank you once again.

My dad moved into Safe Harbour Bebington in July 2023 from his assisted living flat, as his Alzheimer's progressed it just wasn't an appropriate place for him to be staying - he was wandering and bored. He moved to Safe Harbour for a 2 week trial and settled in immediately so became a permanent resident. The level of care is second to none and he is happy, healthy - putting on a little of the weight he lost in the last few years and he has lots of new friends there. One of the things we loved about Safe Harbour is the number of chaps that live there, they have a men's club every Friday where they play cards/games and drink beer (alcohol free). The residents have a busy schedule of activities, meals, drinks and snacks. Lots of interesting events - Dad stroked a skunk and cuddled a meerkat when the petting zoo visited!

Staff are fab The GP visits weekly, all residents are seen on the round. Regular visits from the hairdresser and chiropodist too. It's a lovely, happy and safe home.

Reply from Holly Dooley, HR Manager at Safe Harbour Dementia Care Home Bebington

Wow, anyone would think you were on commission with such a brilliant review! Dad love the petting zoo visiting, and although Dad sticks with the alcohol free version not everyone does. We are glad that as a family, you are happy with the care Dad receives from our wonderful team. You as a family are always very kind and that means a lot to us. Thank you so much.

The staff here are wonderful. My father-in-law, who has Alzheimer's, is always clean, well-dressed, and smiling. There is always some form of entertainment, and it shows how much the staff care for their residents every day. You are always welcomed as a visitor at any time by pleasant, happy and caring staff like one big happy family. I don't think he could be in any better place than safe harbour.

My aunt has dementia and has been in Safe Harbour for 3 and a half years. My brother, sister and I are her only living relatives and no longer live in the area. My sister in Canada, myself in Northamptonshire and my brother in Warrington. Therefore, we cannot visit as often as we would like. When we do go (with no prior warning to the staff) it is obvious that she is so well cared for. Her room is immaculately clean, she is always clean - hair and nails always beautiful and she is very happy in herself, as are the other residents who often chat to us.
The staff are amazing - always friendly and helpful. Communication is excellent - they always let us know of any issues, medical or otherwise that occur.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Safe Harbour to anyone looking for a home for a loved one.

My husband has been in Safe Harbour since January 2023 - he has mixed dementia of Alzheimer's and Vascular dementia - the staff are wonderful - caring and understanding as they have helped me along this incredibly difficult journey. I can visit any time of the day and night and I am always met with a smile. The staff go beyond what is expected of them and genuinely care about their residents.
I feel very fortunate to have found Safe Harbour as I navigate this awful disease.

The staff are so knowledgeable of dementia - my husband was refused daycare at a previous home in Heswall - even though they had a dementia floor - Safe Harbour embraced him as a daycare patient prior to his admission. I would recommend Safe Harbour without hesitation.

I find Safe Harbuor very friendly and the staff are always glad to help. My husband is being looked after very well. He seems to be happy and becoming more animated and takes part in activities especially when it involves 60s music. The staff work hard as it must be difficult at times with all the different personalities to deal with.

My husband seems very happy healthy and content with his new home. All your staff are very kind and supportive. He is much safer living with you in his diagnosis than our lovely Poppyfields which is so open and large. We thank all of you for his care. I feel much more content knowing that he is safe and enjoy the little videos that you sent me. Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas. It was very kind of you to allow our family to have tea together with my husband in the dining room, so thank you all again.

Mum has been a resident here since 2020. She moved in the midst of the national lockdown, and it was a very difficult time.

She settled surprisingly well as she has advanced dementia and the staff have always been fabulous with both her and me. I get regular updates regarding any medical reviews or medicine changes and photos (when she's in the mood for one). I can't fault the staff or the facilities. There are regular themed days and entertainment and residents are encouraged to join in but not pressured if they aren't in the mood. I am very pleased that she is here as she is happy and settled.

This is lovely, thank you. Mum is quite a character which we love about her. You have always been so kind and supportive of us all and we thank you for that. The pandemic was not an easy time at all, especially for you to trust us to take care of Mum with such difficult guidelines being set. We are glad you are happy with how it all went. My husband has dementia and has been at Safe Harbour for more than a year now. The care he has received during this time has been excellent. The staff are all amazing. He has always been treated with kindness, understanding and respect. They take time to listen to his rambles and interact with him.
There is a warm and friendly atmosphere within the home and they have always made me feel welcome when visiting my husband which I can do anytime. His room is always spotless and he’s well dressed and shaved. I have also been impressed with the wide range of activities provided for residents and all are included whatever their ability.
They provide a variety of food and cater for wide range of needs.

Thanks to everyone at Safe Harbour. You’re definitely the best and a true Home from Home.
