The home provided excellent palliative care to my mum.
All staff were caring, empathic and patient with Mum.
On her death, staff were supportive and professional.

It wasn't clear where the reception was and the office that would have been it, seemed to be a store. But the Manager's office was next door and she told me what to do. She took me to the room of my friend. I noticed the notes folder being accessible. The notes were good and up to date. It also listed
the regularity of attendance to my friend. Excellent!

As a family we are very pleased with the care and attention given to our brother-in-law/uncle. He himself speaks very highly of all staff, after just 3 weeks here his well-being is very much improved and we are all feeling very much better.

Mum has been at Westwood Hall for 8 months. We have been very reassured by the care and attention she receives from all the staff who are all be very caring and friendly taking time to talk to her (and the family when we visit). Mum has settled in well and has been enjoying the beautiful room overlooking
wildlife in the well-kept gardens that she has been moved to. The food appears to be home cooked on the times we have been there at mealtimes. There are plenty of activities advertised for her to join in if she wanted to although, at the moment, she is content to stay in her room. The very few problems that have occurred have been dealt with quickly and efficiently by management and all staff including the odd job man who is also very helpful.

My brother-in-law was cared for by the staff at Westwood Hall for several weeks prior to his death on October 12th 2018. The care was the type that money can't buy. They put the word "care" into care home. Not only was my brother-in-law cared for but his wife who has cancer was also looked after and
she was able to spend nights and days with him up to the end. Every single member of staff was there for her and her husband during this very, very sad time.

Mum was admitted with terminal cancer. Her prognosis was very poor but she rallied immediately and eventually passed away some five weeks later. Her care was exceptionally good with an excellent ratio of carer to resident. Mum was confined to her room throughout so I cannot speak about the activities

Mum was resident for 3 months at Westwood Hall and recently passed away within the nursing home. During her stay we were pleased with the care and attention she received from the nurses and carers.
As a family we visited frequently and were met with kindness and support from the staff.
Although
mum's stay was brief it gave us confidence and peace of mind that she was being well looked after by the manager and her team. Mum herself was fond of the staff and was able to trust them during care interventions. Thank you to all at Westwood Hall.

We have been very pleased with my mother's care. The staff have been informative, friendly and respectful. My mother loves the staff. She finds it difficult to communicate with other residents due to hearing, eyesight and dementia.


The staff always let us know if there is any change in her condition,

falls or injuries. The staff are all very caring and kind. We can leave Mum, confident they will look after her to the best of their ability, also the girl who arranges activities is excellent. Carry on the good work.
