Hi, thank you very much for taking the time to leave us feedback about your experience. At Pinetum Care Home - Care UK we set a high standard for ourselves, so we are very pleased to hear that your experience with us has been a positive one.
Pinetum staff are all absolutely fabulous, I cannot thank them enough for the kindness, care, patience, understanding & empathy they have shown my 88-year-old mum. She loves them all, her confidence has grown within the home, and all her needs are met & more. The level of care is of the highest standard, and I totally & utterly recommend Pinetum, especially the fabulous staff! To say they go "above & beyond" is an understatement. Caring staff who really do care. The food is also "amazing", homemade & my mum has eaten things she wouldn't even have tried if I had made them and thoroughly enjoyed every time! Thank you so much Pinetum for caring so much.

Thanks to all the staff, they made her stay comfortable and treated her in the most friendly way.
During my visits, I could see the wonderful contacts they had with all the patients.

Our mum has been well treated and cared for with dignity and respect. The staff have been sensitive to her needs as well as those of her family and we have felt supported through a difficult few months. We are thankful for the kindness and consideration shown by everyone at the home.
My mother-in-law was transferred to Pinetum from the hospital, from being greeted at the door to being taken to her room, she was made really welcome. All staff have been professional, kind and reassuring to my mother-in-law and all her visitors. They ensured she was treated with dignity and as an individual at all times. The cleanliness of the room is very high standard as is the home, mother-in-law thinks she's in a hotel as the food is nice.

My brother has recently been admitted to 'Pinetum' for full-time permanent care. The building is clean and cared for. The rooms are bright and cheerful. The staff are wonderful and we have no hesitation in recommending this Care Home.
The care and attention afforded to me is inspiring it goes towards my health recovery journey.
My review is my personal experience but I have met other residents who concur with my appraisal.
The choice of activities available is comprehensive and very meaningful.
Especially one staff member who is wonderful.

All the staff I have encountered are extremely caring and have a good rapport with my sister-in-law who has dementia.
Although my sister-in-law has dementia, her general physical health has improved significantly over the last few weeks.
I also find that on arrival the home smells fresh and inviting.
My husband also states that he is impressed with the cleanliness and tidiness of the home.

My dad is currently receiving excellent care. The staff can't do enough for him and are so friendly and cheerful. He's on respite at the moment but would be happy if he needed to stay long-term. It's very clean and there are several lounges to sit in. Visitors are also made to feel very welcome.

My mother was transferred to Pinetum for end-of-life care. Throughout her 10-day stay, she received excellent care and was treated with the utmost dignity. Everyone at the home was helpful and supportive from the manager, to the nurses and the domestic staff. Staff provided great support and demonstrated huge kindness and compassion to our family which helped make a really difficult and painful experience more bearable. Thank you.

My mum was taken to Pinetum for respite after fracturing her leg. She was nervous as she has never been a resident in a nursing home before, but she was made to feel very welcome. The care Mum has received has been amazing and says the carers are more like her friend. The food in the home is outstanding, it’s prepared fresh every day by their chef, they are given a choice each morning for breakfast and lunch, the evening meal is a 3-course menu which is different each night. There are activities in which Mum can get involved in and make friends with the other residents. The resident's rooms are spotlessly cleaned every day, and even better we don’t have to wash Mum's clothes they are all washed, dried and ironed in the laundry. The only sad thing is once Mum is better she will be going home and I know she will miss everyone at Pinetum.

Loving, caring and very hard-working staff. Very respectful to the patients, the patient's family members and most of all to each other. A fabulous group of people who make a wonderful team. Keep up this special work that you all do and do it so well. Thank you.

The home has been lovely to my nan. Exceptional care, support, kindness and professionalism is given and my nan herself always compliments the home. The activities and opportunities provided are also worth mentioning as the staff are always willing to bring the best out of each resident in a person-centred way. Thank you Pinetum.
Amazing from start to finish. The care provided by all of the staff that worked with my grandmother was excellent. Welcoming when we arrived at first and then daily always a warm welcome. The environment was clean and bright and everyone was so accommodating. Would highly recommend Pinetum in future. Special mention to many of the staff members including the newer guy. Thank you so much for making a terrible time a lot more bearable!

Both my parents were residents at Pinetum and both spent their final days there. Mum was a resident for two and a half years and my brothers and I cannot speak highly enough of the whole team. The whole staff cared for our family through exceptionally difficult times and we cannot thank them enough for this. The home has an amazing team of friendly, kind, caring and compassionate people and we are extremely grateful for everything they did for Mum and Dad.
Because of the quality care from all the staff, medical, occupational, catering and cleaners we know mother is in good hands.
The building is overdue refurbishment. The general condition is a bit tired which a redecoration would sort out.
Thank you very much for your review – we’re so pleased your mum is receiving first class care at Pinetum and that you feel well informed. We are also happy to let you know that refurbishments are in the pipeline, it’s currently being discussed.
Lovely care home with very friendly staff. My husband has been looked after extremely well with all his medical needs and I feel very confident that he is in safe hands when I leave him in the evening. I have visited a few care homes (relatives) in the past, and this home far outshines any of them.
We would like to thank all the staff at Pinetum for the continued kindness and support they provided for my mum during her stay. She settled in straight away and had no complaints whatsoever. We would strongly recommend a stay here.

Meet the Team (1)

I worked as a nurse in Romania from 1998 to 2016 when I joined Care UK.
Care UK’s strong values were what made me decide to come to the UK and work here. After speaking with team members in the home, I felt it was a good opportunity for me to develop my career.
When I first joined Care UK, I worked as a nurse. I was soon promoted to Night Nurse Manager, then Deputy Manager and now Home Manager.
My role is to ensure the home is safe and comfortable for residents and to provide support to colleagues in our team. In this role, you need to have strong leadership, communication and time management skills. It’s also important to be confident and experienced and respect others.
My favourite part of the day is our team meeting, where all the colleagues in the home get together and make plans for how we move forward. At Pinetum, we have a strong sense of teamwork, and I’m proud of our colleagues’ commitment, which helps us to get through any challenges together.
Outside of work, I enjoy fishing and reading.
