Westwood Court

There are clear processes in place to safeguard both residents and Bonnie when we visit.

My wife was a resident at Westwood Court from 3/21 - 4/25. I now visit regularly to help with activities. I visit the residents who are in their bedrooms and provide 1:1 person-centred time. I get personal satisfaction from visiting the residents and as I am a Christian I feel I am giving back to those less fortunate than myself. All the staff are a pleasure to work with and make me feel very welcome. It feels good to be able to give back to those that looked after my wife for a long time.

I feel the care home deal with my sister in a compassionate and caring attitude. They deal with my sister who can be bossy, demanding, but also very lazy. They inform me of any changes in her health & well being and have no complaints what so ever with her care

My wife has been a resident of Westwood Court for more than 2 1/2 years and is now very settled. This means that I can occasionally bring her back to her old home and she is always happy to return It helps that when she does return all the staff make a point of welcoming her back. This is just a small example of the attention to detail regarding resident welfare that I see manifested all the time and which makes Westwood Court a special place

I am fortunate enough to have my mother, Sheila and her younger brother , Henry in Westwood Court, my sister and I chose to move Mum from another local care home . Westwood Court initial assessments and care plan and attention to the residents needs have been excellent , we are so grateful to all the staff for their genuine care and concern. I could list many many names but thanks to Helena , John, Charlotte and Sam.

Westwood Court provide an excellent level of care for our mum. The staff are extremely caring and knowledgeable, and the facilities are well maintained. My mum has been there nearly two years and in that time the staff turnover has been very low, with a great team of dedicated carers. There's plenty of activities for my mum to take part in, and I am always made to feel very welcome when I visit. My mum feels safe and seems happy with her stay, often commenting how friendly the staff are. They've also paid attention to things that have helped my mum specifically, like reading books or doing puzzles, and encouraged/enabled her to do more of it. We are very grateful to the staff for the work they do, and feel very reassured that she is in safe hands.

The staff here are great, I feel safe leaving my mum, knowing that she is well cared for. The activities co-ordinator has made a real effort to get to know mum and eng,age her so she isn't just stuck in a chair all day. The resident cat is also a big hit with mum who loves having a furry, purry friend to sit and stroke. The difference compared to the previous home mum was is in massive and it is such a relief to have found Westwood Court.

Very friendly and helpful staff. I visit my friend 2/3 times a month and go into the lounge. There is always something going on, loads of activities, and whenever I visit, the facilities I have seen are clean. I would recommend Westwood Court if asked to do so.

I visit Westwood Court on a regular basis throughout the year and it's always a pleasure. The residents have lots of activities going on and are encouraged to take part. The staff are very friendly, welcoming and are always happy to help. Everywhere is spotlessly clean and well-maintained. I always look forward to visiting. They hold lots of family days too where everyone can get involved which is so important.

Overall, I am happy with the service the home provides and appreciate the care that your employees give to the residents. I feel I am listened to when I raise concerns.

The nursing team would make sure that we were aware of any changes to mum's care and would always make us feel welcome when we would visit.

My only negative is that I would like my dad to be up more to experience more social interaction with others in the lounge. Even though communication is hard he still likes to watch what is going on.

I come to Westwood Care nursing home twice a month to teach Zumba gold activities with the residents.

It's my absolute pleasure to come here every 2 weeks. I find it so rewarding and I really enjoy it and look forward to coming along.

I love to see there happy smiling faces for me being responsible for that makes me happy & contented, makes my job worthwhile it feels like I have achieved something.

Staff there are all very friendly and helpful especially Sam Over, all the admin team in the office it's a great place to come in work in a dead friendly working environment.

Lovely facilities & rooms a great care home. I love coming here, all the residents are great too they are well looked after cared for. I love chatting to them when I am there they are all so nice.
