After visiting a number of homes for our Mum, my sister and I were immediately drawn to The Beeches. From our first point of contact, we were made to feel welcome and on our initial viewing were assured that this was the place our Mum would be safe and would thrive. Indeed, 2 years down the line that is exactly what has happened. She is in better health than for many years. The social aspect of being around people is amazing. The staff arrange and deliver many activities which keeps everyone's spirits up. The good weather this summer certainly helped. Being able to sit out in the courtyard and have ice creams was a particular highlight. Especially during this difficult Covid period. The management and staff are always approachable and have done an amazing job in keeping us all informed as to the regulations re: visits. Being able to chat through the window has been invaluable. Overall, our Mum is very well cared for. Treated with respect and dignity. Her needs are met and she is safe and healthy. Thank you.

Mum is well cared for. The staff are all friendly and take an interest in her. There seem to be plenty of activities to keep her occupied and the staff are interested in keeping the residents happy. The rooms are a little scruffy and it's a shame there is no garden space for the residents to enjoy.

Thank you for your positive feedback. We take on board all comments. We do have a courtyard/garden with plenty of seating areas, flowers, plants and sensory ornaments. It is used often (weather permitting) and is maintained by our gardener on a weekly basis. Pictures of the courtyard/garden can be found on our face book page.

Unfortunately, this home did not meet the family or the resident's expectations, and we are unable to recommend this home to any new residents.

I'm sure that it must meet some resident's expectations, but not our mother's.

The Beeches has been brilliant with my dad. Right from the outset, communication has been excellent, every member of staff I have dealt with has been helpful and supportive. They are lovely with Dad, even when he’s had his challenging moments. There is always someone to talk to, and they take the time to keep you completely informed about all aspects of care. The Covid situation is extremely well managed, and they make the best out of a difficult situation. I feel reassured he is there and being looked after very well.

My wife and I had the opportunity to visit our elderly aunt today after many weeks of waiting, the first visit due to lockdown being greeted via a carer and taken through the Covid flow pre visit system.
Our first gathering proved to be a very enjoyable experience, and we were very pleased to see her looking extremely well presented and happy.

Our contact with both admin and carers at The Beeches has always been professional and pleasant, and they always remember to ring you back when requesting an update; it's nice to be able to return home knowing that our aunt is happy, safe and well cared for. Thanks to you all.

Mother has been resident at The Beeches for approximately 18 months. She suffers from dementia and is 96 years old.
The home is very well maintained and the staff are always very helpful and friendly.

During the lockdown they have kept us informed of all that is going on and they have managed to keep virus-free which is exceptional and we are all very thankful.

As I used to work at The Beeches, I wanted my Dad to reside here, as he was deteriorating. I knew the standards of care and how respectful the carers are, form the housekeepers, cooks, carers, RGN's and maintenance men. Dignity is maintained at all times. I also recommend to my friend for her mother as she wasn't happy with the card standard at her old care home. She had a new lease of life once she resided here. More than happy with care.

I can not stress enough how The Beeches have helped us. My dad is very happy with his care and looks upon the staff as his friends. The amazing staff are always jolly, caring and kind. Nothing is too much trouble for them. They have done their utmost to care for dad in a professional homely atmosphere. Beeches have been a 'lifeline' to us, his family. It is so comforting to know your loved one is being cared for in the best possible way.

Mum quickly settled into The Beeches Care Home and is happy and well cared for there. The staff are caring and welcoming to the family and the general atmosphere is happy and caring. The facilities are good and mum has a lovely sunny room. There are a couple of lounges so its possible to spend private time if required.

We cannot recommend this home highly enough. The care and respect afforded the residents is second to none. Activities are arranged every day to stimulate the resident whether it be craft sessions, music and entertainers, parties, even local school children coming in to sing, time at The Beeches is never boring.
When the inevitable decline happens and a resident is nearing the end, family's are encouraged to stay, to spend their final days and hours making memories that will last a lifetime. We as a family were provided with a place to get a little sleep, somewhere to eat and take 5 minutes to gather our thoughts. Staff came to check on our loved one and us every hour, and always left with the same ‘if you need anything let me know”.
Following death, the staff all came to say their goodbyes with tears and hugs.

Thank you to every member of staff, as individuals you are fabulous, as a team you are amazing.
