My Dad has been a resident for over a year now and I could not be happier with the level of care he receives. He is treated with warmth and respect by all of the staff and his individual needs and quirks are closely monitored, catered for and even celebrated. The staff are very good at communicating
with me, and extremely approachable. Despite being a dementia resident, Dad had has had quite a few medical issues which have been spotted and dealt with quickly and efficiently. He thoroughly enjoys the food and the entertainment and activities on offer and, as quite a shy and private person, he was given the time and space to come out of his shell on his own terms, which meant a lot to me and gave him the confidence to now partake happily. I am extremely thankful that he is so happy here, and forever grateful to the kind and capable staff.
Reply from Senior Team, Management Team at Beeches Care HomeThank you so much for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and heartfelt review. We are truly delighted to hear that your father has settled so happily into life with us and that both he and your family feel supported by our team. Providing person-centred care that respects each resident's individuality is at the heart of everything we do, so it means a great deal to know that your father's unique personality, preferences and needs are recognised and celebrated. Your kind words about our staff, communication, and responsiveness to your father's health needs are greatly appreciated and will be shared with the entire team. It is especially rewarding to hear that he has gained the confidence to participate in activities and enjoy the social aspects of our community at his own pace. Thank you for placing your trust in us and for your generous recognition of our team's dedication. It is a privilege to care for your father, and we are grateful to have him as part of our community.

My dad, has been at the beeches for just over 2weeks. He has settled in really well, much better than expected. Feedback from staff has been great, keeping us informed. Staff seem more than happy to answer any questions we have.
The home appears to be well organised and as a family we are getting to
know more staff and have a better understanding of how things work. Hopefully my dad will become more familiar and more settled as time goes on.

My mum came into Haighfield for 5 weeks of respite care. We found the staff to be extremely professional, caring and treated mum with dignity. Her room was always kept clean and tidy, and everyone did their utmost to make what was a traumatic experience for mum into one that was calming and reassuring.
We are extremely grateful as a family for everyone's help and support.

Both my parents came to stay at Willows in December 2025, my father with Parkinsons and early onset dementia and my mum with advanced dementia. The nursing staff are knowledgeable, always available to discuss any concerns or requests and treat my parents with great respect. Care staff are always available,
very attentive and caring - nothing is too much trouble and everyone is happy to help and talk. Recent refurbishment and change of management has made an obvious impact on the home as everywhere is clean, bright and welcoming. There are numerous lounges & outdoor courtyards for residents to relax or take part in daily activities with ongoing refurbishment which will improve facilities even more. The activities staff work incredibly hard to make sure there are always activities happening for all residents that want to take part. Activities recently include, singer visits, dog visits, painting, gardening, games, bingo, community outings, crafting (to name a few).
Reply from Kathleen Wood, Quality Team at The WillowsThank you so much for taking the time to share such a thoughtful review. My Mum went into The Beeches at the end of October 2025, she was not in a good place and we worried about how she would settle in. The staff were excellent and did their best to help Mum even though she was very difficult at times.
Mum has needed quite a lot of medical attention due to frequent infections
and the nursing staff were quick to recognise the signs and involve the local GP as soon as possible.
There is work ongoing at the home to improve the decor, replace doors etc. It is good to see this investment.
The care staff and administrative staff are good at communicating with family.
Reply from Kathleen Wood, Quality Team at Beeches Care HomeThank you for your positive review. It must be a huge relief to see the staff doing everything they can to help her settle in and that the nurses responded so quickly to her medical needs. Having caring, attentive staff can make such a huge difference during moments like this, from clinical staff to the front desk, we aim to treat both residents and families with compassion and respect and we will continue to keep her feel comfortable and supported each day.

Everything about the Willows is excellent. My wife is treated very well and I think I am treated as good even though I am only a visitor. Everyone is so pleasant and caring. Sometimes I don't get a chance to finish signing in when I am presented with a mug of tea or coffee.
Thank you.

The Willows Nursing Home is absolutely fantastic. All the staff are amazing and all work extremely hard. It is such a lovely happy and friendly place. The staff make every resident feel special and very well cared for. Faye the Manager is lovely and always has time for you. The whole place is lovely
and clean and the food and choices are great. They offer great activities and encourage all residents to participate. They even allow the residents family members to join in. We love the bingo on a Friday and is always good fun. Karen who organises the activities, with the help of her colleagues, is amazing, she is so funny and does a brilliant job. We have attended the garden party in the summer with bbq, raffle and live music. Halloween party, fancy dress. Christmas activities. Always have something going on. If your looking place your loved ones in a care home then look no further, i would 100% recommend the Willows. Thank you team for all your hard work and patience.

The Willows meets the basic needs of my relative, there could be a lot of improvement. Whilst his clothes are laundered, personal hygiene is not paid enough attention to, showering, teeth brushing and shaving. Care staff do not ensure these are done on a regular basis. A light menu was suggested for
most mealtimes, this has not always been adhered to, resulting in a lot of food waste. Time residents spend alone in their rooms, activities could be encouraged for interaction. In the event of their being a problem, staff do not use their initiative to remedy this. Result is a complaint, particularly if it's a health and safety issue.
Reply from Kathleen Wood, Quality Team at The WillowsThank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're pleased to hear that your relatives basic needs are being met, but we're sorry to learn about the areas where you feel improvements are needed. We take concerns around personal hygiene , clothing, meals and activities very seriously and this feedback has been shared with the management team.

I call weekly to see residents of a particular faith, but I chat to any resident in the near vacinity.
I find the staff are always interactive with the residents and staff are very much visual in the sitting room - residents are never left alone. There is always a calm and peaceful atmosphere in the
home and 'never' a smell of toileting accidents. A pleasure & privilege to visit weekly, and I commend the staff for their commitment and love they deliver.
Reply from Kathleen Wood, Quality Team at Beeches Care HomeThank you for the wonderful feedback! Since my mum has stayed at Haighfeild Nursing Home, she has felt welcome, as has my dad, myself and many of her friends who have visited. They treat residents and individuals and really do care about getting them comfortable and keeping them in good health. Mum is always in fresh clothes, and maintaining
clean hygiene is a priority in this home. Mum is now eating a modified diet; however, the home makes the food, then adapts it so it's real food, and it is in the first time in 10 weeks that Mum has eaten good meals, and this is continuing. We feel that Mum is in the best place where she gets excellent care for her needs, something we couldn't have done at home. It is very reassuring to know Mum is in a safe, caring environment. Thank you.

Sadly Mum passed away earlier this afternoon and as a family we are truly heartbroken. We would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts
for the loving care, you gave to our Mum, you all work so hard, the love. compassion and dedication is second to none. You all go that extra mile every time, you are a credit to yourselves. From Mum leaving Wigan Infirmary and coming over to Haighfield it was the very best decision we made.
God bless you all RIP my beautiful Mum
