Mum was in Croston Park during the lockdown, which was a challenging time. Communication was sometimes very difficult, although staff tried their best. There is a calm and gentle atmosphere, and the staff were always kind and caring. Mum's room was comfortable, and the lounge, garden and activity areas
have improved significantly - I would say they are excellent. Thanks to all at Croston Park for the care they gave Mum.

Mum was moved into Croston Park Nursing Home following dreadful care in another home and also poor care during her time in hospital. As a result, she arrived at Croston Park with a number of issues. Sadly, Mum was only in Croston Park for two weeks before she died. Within that two weeks, Croston Park
resolved all of the problems that she arrived with and during her stay, Mum put weight on because they placed her on a re-feeding programme. At Croston Park, she was treated with complete kindness and compassion by the staff and as best as they could in Mum's situation with dignity. It was clear to see Mum visibly improving with regard to her appearance as she gained weight and also that she was completely comfortable. I'd like to thank the manager and her team for making Mum's final two weeks as positive as they were for her, and for including her family in her care planning. I would have no hesitation in recommending this care home.

Although for only a few days, the compassion and care that we received, both to the resident and those who sat kept vigil to the end of her life, was exemplary. It felt like being taken up into the loving arms of a family as we shared the saddest of journeys. The care my friend received was professional,
respectful, never intrusive and above all compassionate. All needs were met, we wanted for nothing. Mere words cannot express our gratitude - bless you for all that you do to support those in need - residents and relatives. Excellent.

A great residential home. Very caring staff who always dealt with her with dignity. My mother was very happy to reside here. She had a lovely room which was always very tidy and clean when we visited. I would recommend this home to anyone.

We have been very pleased with how all the staff have cared for Dad during his final years. Dad always looked clean and today and there was a good rapport between him and his carers. The home is in a lovely setting and Dad was content there. We would definitely recommend Croston Park Nursing Home to
others.

My mum was a resident at Croston Park Nursing Home for just over thirteen months and during this time she received excellent care from the staff who work there. We were always kept informed by various members of the team if there was a change in Mum's circumstances, such as if she was feeling unwell
or had to have any medication changed for example. As a family, we were impressed with the fact that all staff were approachable and had time for us if there were any issues we were concerned about, which were few and far between, fortunately. The staff address their jobs professionally and with kindness and respect for the residents in their care and I feel that my mum, despite having dementia, seemed very happy there in what had been very trying circumstances for all during the pandemic.

Mum received end of life care at Croston Park Nursing Home, the staff, in particular the nursing staff, looked after Mum with such care and dignity. All staff were lovely to deal with and had empathy with the family. We have recommended this nursing home to friends looking for a good quality nursing

We all found the care MUm received exceptional. They were always pleasant, friendly and polite which meant a lot to us. It gave us peace of mind that Mum was well cared for and looked after at Croston Park Nursing Home, especially during the lockdown when we couldn't visit. Thank you everyone.

My aunt was my last relative in the UK. A fiercely independent and private person. All her life she spoke her mind directly.
She was at this location for over two months and spoke highly of the facility and staff.
To me that was high praise. (The highest). The time I spent visiting I saw the same
thing. Thank you!

My mother was well looked after by friendly carers with whom she had a good relationship. The home is spotless and Mum was always clean and dressed in clothes of her choice. She particularly enjoyed time in the lovely gardens. End of life care for Mum and family was very compassionate.

I have always found Croston Park Nursing Home to be a warm and welcoming home to visit. The professional care shown by management and staff has always been excellent and a great reassurance to my family, particularly during this period of the pandemic.
My brother was 'a quiet man' but one who always

Dad spent the last 18-months of his life at Croston Park. During this time, he was very well cared for. The home had a pleasant, welcoming atmosphere and always extremely clean. During the last week of his life, the care he received was exceptional, and although we were under covid-19 restrictions,
I was given every opportunity to visit him. I cannot thank the manager and all the staff enough; they were wonderful.

We have had our differences and issues but on the good side, when Mum became very ill and nearing the end of life, the staff were very good, considerate and helpful. They really could not do enough for me and Mum. I thank them for everything.

My mum was admitted to Croston Park Nursing Home during the challenging Covid restriction period which meant I was unable to visit or see my mum's room. The management team and care staff were fantastic in reassuring me and enabling me to speak to my mum during her isolation. The staff supported my
mum to use her mobile phone and kept it charged for her so I could leave her messages.
I was kept well informed about my mum's condition and health issues by the nursing team which was very reassuring when I couldn't be close to her.
I was able to drop off items at reception so that the home could follow Covid protocol and keep my mum and themselves safe but still allow her access to her possessions after being quarantined as per government guidelines.
I can't fault the home and knew my mum was as safe as could be in these unsure times.
The communication was excellent all round and I was notified of any changes in my mum's condition and when the GP was needed.

Unfortunately, my experience of Croston Park was during the Covid pandemic and therefore I can't comment on food or facilities as I didn't see them. I can say that my Dad received the best care with dignity. The staff were all lovely and the management helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and I would

Abigail Kershaw joins us as the new registered manager at Croston Park, bringing with her an impressive eight years of experience as a registered nurse. Her extensive career, primarily focused on acute medicine within hospital settings, showcases her capabilities in managing wards and her specialisation as a respiratory nurse. Abigail's dedication to healthcare was further highlighted during the pandemic when she volunteered in a COVID ward, demonstrating her commitment to patient care in the most challenging circumstances. Additionally, she has valuable experience in residential care for the elderly, underscoring her comprehensive understanding of the needs of our residents.


It is at Croston Park that she feels she has found her calling. Abigail is thrilled to take on the role of home manager.


In her new position, Abigail said, "Being part of the Croston Park family is like finding where I was always meant to be. It's not just about leadership; it's about making a real difference in the lives of our residents and their families. I'm here to ensure that everyone feels at home, supported, and part of our unique family."
