Overall Experience

Due to a broken arm, I had to source respite care for my mother whilst preparing her to go home. I found Croston Park the most suitable for her after visiting a couple of others in the local area. I found from my first appointment with them a very friendly and caring atmosphere, staff who go above and beyond for each resident. Any challenges that I had regarding my mother during her stay, were quickly communicated to me and at no stage did I feel like I had to drop everything and go and resolve, this was a massive weight off my shoulders and the care home allowed me the time to source the aftercare in the correct manner. Up to the point of me taking her back home, I simply, cannot fault Croston Park. Thank you to all members of staff for your efforts, it is greatly appreciated.

I came here on respite after being discharged from hospital with a broken ankle rather than being left to look after myself at home. I found all the staff to be helpful and receptive to my needs and requirements. This included help in the appointment for the fracture clinic. I gained a great deal being here and was so well looked after. Danielle & Jenny were most helpful.

Mums been at Croston Par for 12 months and her life has been changed for the better. She is now being looked after & cared for, but most of all she is surrounded with love & compassion! Yesterday she celebrated her 90th birthday. The staff in the home pulled out all the stops to make her birthday one to remember by decorating all the room, making all the guests welcome & comfortable, she had a memorable day! So thank you.

My mum fell after getting out of bed (she is a known falls risk & activated the falls mat). When the paramedics arrived, they told my brother how impressed they were with the care provided to my mum. She had 3 carers present with her and had been kept warm until they arrived to take her to hospital.

On October 11 it was mum's 93rd birthday, Jenny and all the staff made it very special for mum by decorating the activity room and providing refreshments for all the family so we could enjoy spending time with her. Maureen and Julie made a beautiful birthday cake and we have a video and phots to remember the day by. As a family we are very happy with the care that mum is given. All the staff are kind and thoughtful.

My mum has been a resident for 12 months now. I have always been impressed by the friendliness and professionalism of all the staff, from manager through to cleaning staff. My mum has received wonderful care even when her dementia has meant she is distressed or angry. The home offer a wide range of activities and entertainment which sadly my mum has not been able to join in with, but efforts have been made to bring activities to her room, such as sensory light activities.

The care Mum has received since moving in has been excellent. All of the staff have taken their time to get to know her.

All of her medical needs are carefully monitored and any concerns are relayed to us as next of kin. Mum loves joining in the activities, In particular arts and crafts, baking, flower arranging and listening to the entertainers. Mum now calls Croston Park home.

My mum has been at Croston Park since early 2022 and has always received excellent care. The staff have always been kind, helpful and respectful of her needs. Recently, mum celebrated her 100th birthday and the staff went above and beyond their normal duties to ensure that this was a very happy and joyous event for both mum and the wider family. They allocated us a private room and decorated it with balloons etc. which we had for 2 separate parties that week. On her actual birthday the staff and residents made floral table decorations and cakes for a surprise tea party. A big thank you to all staff and residents at Croston Park.

My mother spent 2 years at Croston Park from 2022 to 2024 when, regrettably, some serious falls meant that she had to leave and go to another care home.

Mum always received excellent care from the staff members and managers who showed great affection for her. Sadly, her dementia deteriorated quickly but mum always seemed happy with the level of care she received.
