My mother is extremely well looked after when she goes in Magnolia House for respite, it is usually two/three times a year. I am grateful that I can get here in, as I feel I wouldn't be happy for her to go anywhere else. All the carers and staff are excellent. Nothing is too much trouble, and they make
sure her needs are meet. Park Lane Healthcare should be proud of them.
I also took Mum to the tropical tiki party on Saturday and can I say the effort put into the afternoon by all was fantastic, great day for residents, caters, family and friends.

My mum has been a resident for 12 months now. I have always been impressed by the friendliness and professionalism of all the staff, from manager through to cleaning staff. My mum has received wonderful care even when her dementia has meant she is distressed or angry. The home offer a wide range of
activities and entertainment which sadly my mum has not been able to join in with, but efforts have been made to bring activities to her room, such as sensory light activities.

The care my friend received at Moorgate Lodge was exceptional. You provided her with a safe space where she could spend her last few weeks in peace surrounded by staff who genuinely cared about her. The carers, nurses, managers, in fact everyone, went above and beyond to look after my friend. I shall
be eternally grateful to them all for showing my dearest friend love and compassion at the end of her life.

My aunt went into Magnolia House for 2 weeks respite care. Her room was immaculately clean, comfortable and well equipped. The staff were friendly, approachable and caring, and more importantly, there was always someone around to answer questions. If my aunt needs further care, I will not hesitate to
go back to them.

Please do not place your loved ones in this Nursing Home.

This home is dangerous in my opinion. I found the nursing staff do not listen to the relatives of loved ones even when you are trying to advise them that your loved one may be ill. Management are obstructive and medical interventions are practically

non existent.
I found the nursing home to smell on the landings of body odour. Not surprising really with the extreme temperatures in this place. No fans or air conditioning even in the extreme temperatures. It's ridiculous, even the staff are nearly collapsing due to the heat.
Stimulus is non existent too for the residents. Absolutely nothing to do in this place for the residents. All you see the poor residents do is sit or lay in their rooms. This place is literally soleless.

I would not trust management in this place. It appears all about money not patient centred care. Please avoid at all costs.

At Park Lane Healthcare we do value all feedback and always provide a response and opportunity to meet to discuss when required. This opinion does not reflect the kind and professional care we know is provided by the dedicated team at Moorgate Lodge, as illustrated by all the other reviews shared by families and residents. All concerns raised by this reviewer have been fully investigated and none have been upheld.A recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission rated the home "Good" with outstanding leadership.

What makes a good/excellent care home.

When we first looked around we were met with a genuine warmth and friendliness by everyone. This is still the case whenever we visit. The love and care they give mum is amazing. She is a different person to when she first arrived. More confident and settled and physically and mentally so much improved.
The staff encourage her to join in all the activities which she loved. The staff are always smiling and happy to chat - a fabulous family environment in which we are happy for mum to be a part of.

The staff at this care home are polite, knowledgeable and compassionate about their work. They always have a smile and nothing is too much trouble for them, any concerns are dealt with swiftly. They went above and beyond when auntie was on end of life and shed tears with the family members. The room
was prepared very respectfully and peacefully for end of life, and a member of staff was there when family wasn't. I cannot express enough gratitude to the staff there.

Mum has been in Moorgate Hollow for the last 2 years and I can honestly say that during this time the care and attention she has received has been exemplary. All the staff and manager go above and beyond their duties to make sure that mum is cared for at all times. When we visit, we are made to feel

Took excellent care of my great aunty. She was very particular about her likes and dislikes at home, and they tried to accommodate her as best they could, which we are aware was out of their way, and we really appreciate it. My aunty came to like her time spent there doing various activities and making
a few close new friends. Forever appreciative.Thank you.
