My aunt is a resident in the Hall carehome in thornton le dale, it is one of the best facilities I have been to.The staff are so caring, the residents have a full calender of events every week, from school children visiting, to having animals visit for petting, outings, art, baking and many more activities, the residents have lovely rooms, and lovely communal areas. The staff from reception, to the service givers, and cleaners and cooks are all very happy and obliging, ways pleasant! . We always look forward to visiting. A truly lovely place

My Mum moved into The Hall recently. Moving into a care setting from her own home was difficult for her but all the staff have been incredibly friendly and supportive during the transition process. Mum is enjoying the range of activities available. She is also enjoying the food. The staff are extremely professional and seem to be very knowledgeable and have intervened very promptly when my Mum was unwell getting the GP to see her very quickly. Overall the difficult transition into residential care has been relatively smooth and I have confidence in the team's ability to provide good care for my Mum.

Our lives changed suddenly 10 weeks ago when my brother died. He was mum's full time carer so I was thrown into organising a funeral, looking after mum, and sorting a new care situation for her (I live 3hrs away). I found The Hall, and thank god I did. From my first phone call I knew this was the place for mum. They gave me the best support whilst negotiating a place and helped every step of the way (and it was not easy). Mum has settled quickly due to the fantastic, caring staff and is as happy as she can be. I know she is safe and well looked after. Truely amazing.

I can't recommend The Hall Residential Care Home highly enough. The care and compassion shown by every member of staff is outstanding. They truly take the time to get to know each resident as an individual, treating them with dignity, warmth and genuine kindness. Nothing ever feels rushed, and families are always made to feel welcome and reassured.
The food is excellent, with a lovely variety of home-cooked meals that are both nutritious and beautifully presented. Mealtimes are clearly an important and enjoyable part of the day.
There is also a wide range of activities on offer from Stephanie & Alison, ensuring residents remain engaged, stimulated and socially connected, whatever their interests or abilities.

Set in beautiful surroundings, the home has a calm, welcoming atmosphere that really does feel like home. The combination of dedicated staff, quality care and a stunning setting makes The Hall a very special place.

The staff here are lovely and attentive. I have peace of mind knowing that my grandad is in safe hands. They have lots of great activities to ensure that each day is different, and grandad often talks about when they've had singers and musicians in to perform, or if there's a day out he's looking forward to.

My mother in law has been in the hall for around 6 months now and has flourished since she moved in. The staff take excellent care of her, she presents as clean and well fed and seems a lot calmer and more relaxed. Staff have a good repartee with her, sharing humour which my mother in law has always appreciated.

The home is clean, the food is good and the care provided by the staff is excellent. I do speak with a professional eye, I am a nurse and my role was part quality audit of care, and even though I visit in the role of son in law, I do observe and see excellent practices by the whole team.

Staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are spacious with beautiful views, meals are restaurant quality cooked from scratch. Dad settled in remarkably quickly and said he should have done it years ago. Activities are numerous and exceptionally well run. Does not smell like a care home. Interior decor is sumptious and well maintained. Staff made the transition easy for both dad and the family, catering for all our needs and outstanding reassurance. Peace of mind and dads well being, safety and care are of upmost important to both staff and family. Dads clothing is cared for by staff and cleaned to a very high standard. Full praise to this exceptional Care Home.

My mother and father have both been at The Hall, lovely care home, most of the carers have a smile on their faces and are chirpy. I think that is a plus for the residents. Food looks good and the entertainment is good.

All staff are super friendly and professional, nothing is too much trouble. The staff have made my Grandma truly welcome and have supported her transition superbly. My family and I have been well supported too, as it is a difficult time for all of us. My Grandma's room is beautiful, the care home is clean and the food is amazing, according to Grandma! The vast amount of activities have really helped my Grandma settle in and I can honestly say Grandma has done more there in three months than she has in years. Grandma has made some lovely new friends in the care home and it is so nice to see her sitting and laughing with them. I simply cannot speak highly enough of The Hall, it is a truly outstanding care home.

My Mum is very happy at The Hall. Plenty of activities for the residents. The staff are very helpful. I am pleased that she is in good hands. The location is fantastic, the grounds are beautiful and the residents can enjoy them especially during good weather. The activities are good and they try and involve residents' families. The fun days are good and raise money for charities and are very stimulating for the residents. Thornton le Dale is a lovely area and the staff often take residents out to enjoy the area. Facilities are good at The Hall, good outdoor area, nice lounges and a nice orangery. The bedrooms are so comfortable and cosy. Communication with the staff is good, if my Mum needs anything they will speak to me. Thank you The Hall.
