Moorgate Croft

My father in law has been in Moorgate Croft for about 4 months now. The care he receives is outstanding. But more importantly the love he receives is second to none. The staff genuinely love him, care for him like family.

It's never something you want to do, put a parent in a care home, but I am 100% certain that I have made the right decision. The staff are brilliant. They care and love for my dad like family. I can't thank them enough.

I love the use of the magazine app. Enables family to get news to their relative by a printed magazine. It allows staff to engage with residents to stimulate conversation and memory.

Friendly, welcoming staff who know the residents and their needs very well. Always willing to go the extra mile to make people comfortable.

Carers and management take all the time needed to make mum feel safe and secure. They notice small changes in mum's abilities as her illness progresses, and implement strategies to assist her more as needed. When a hospital appointment was organised, the staff didn't hesitate to arrange transport etc so everything could run smoothly. Thank you.

Always made welcome when we visit, staff are lovely and professional. Meg loves it at Moorgate Croft and we are so glad she has settled. Her quality of life is so much better than she had living on her own.

From the day mum arrived at Morrgate Croft the staff have been welcoming, helpful and caring. Nothing is too much trouble and they are a happy and friendly group of carers. Mum settled in quickly and loves it! She loves all the activities, has made lots of new friends and thinks the staff are wonderful and that they look after her very well and always have time for her! Moorgate Croft is an outstanding care home. Everyone from the cleaners to management are friendly, helpful and kind. When Dad moved there in November the staff encouraged him to eat in the dining room and join in the many, varied activities which helped him to settle in and socialise with new people. As Dad deteriorated, the staff worked hard to meet his needs while maintaining his dignity and this enabled him to stay there in comfort until he sadly passed away. Moorgate Croft was not only his home but ours as well and the care they showed Dad also extended to us as a family. Couldn't recommend highly enough.

Mum has settled in really well. All the staff have been attentive , caring and supportive. Mum has been encouraged to take part in daily activities which has really helped with making friends and socialising.

Attractive, well-maintained care home, both inside and out. Good size bedrooms, corridors and recreation rooms. All staff from first contact, ongoing care, to any finance issues have been helpful, supportive and excellent. Security is very good, with family visits always welcome at any time. Whilst the cost of any care home will always be an issue, this care home was very good value.

New transfer to Moorgate Croft. Very impressed with how welcoming and helpful all the staff have been. They are happy to talk to family members to discuss issues and solutions.They have encouraged my father-in-law to get out of bed and join in activities. Plus sat in the dining room. Excellent range of activities available - should cater to everyone's interests.

Moorgate Croft is an excellent care home. The bedrooms are spacious and ensuite. There is a good dining room and lounge with a kitchen that guests can also use. There is a regular programme of activities and the entertainment organiser works very hard to encourage residents to participate. All the staff are very caring and always available to help with any questions we have or items we require. The food options are good and there is adequate parking for visitors. Highly recommended.

Moorgate Croft excels at all these.

The food offered is really good and plenty of it. Activities arranged for the residents is amazing and the organiser excels all expectations. The rooms are cleaned regularly, which is important. Manager, listen to you. I have no doubt this is one of the best care homes in the country.

The staff at this care home are polite, knowledgeable and compassionate about their work. They always have a smile and nothing is too much trouble for them, any concerns are dealt with swiftly. They went above and beyond when auntie was on end of life and shed tears with the family members. The room was prepared very respectfully and peacefully for end of life, and a member of staff was there when family wasn't. I cannot express enough gratitude to the staff there.

Took excellent care of my great aunty. She was very particular about her likes and dislikes at home, and they tried to accommodate her as best they could, which we are aware was out of their way, and we really appreciate it. My aunty came to like her time spent there doing various activities and making a few close new friends. Forever appreciative.Thank you.

My aunt was a resident in Moorgate Croft for just over 2 years until she passed away in March 2025. We were very happy with the care provided. My aunt was so happy living here, the manager and her staff were so kind and caring and were a credit to the organisation. During the time my aunt was a resident, we never had any worries or concerns. Thank you on behalf of our family for taking such good care of her.

Mum has moved into Moorgate Croft in the past 3 weeks and has settled really well. This is down to the excellent welcome she has received. The staff are very caring, kind and positive. There are lots of activities which mum has joined in, and her room is spacious and nicely decorated. We are very pleased overall.

The staff are approachable, caring and considerate towards the residents. I am informed of any issues or changes in my father's health. I am highly satisfied with care my father receives.

I remember first visiting Moorgate Croft with my mum over a year ago and a family of one of the residents said to me you will not go wrong here for the care of your mum. That says it all for me.
