My dad is looked after very well by all the staff, he has no complaints. This applies to what he frequently thinks since moving in, they have done everything to make dad happy.

My mum has been at Moorgate Croft for 6 1/2 years. I have always found that they care for mum's needs very well. If I ever have need to talk to the manager she is always there to listen, also the staff are very friendly and I can see that they really care for mum.

I find that the staff and manager do a fantastic job, they have patience and treat the patient with respect and care. I have admiration for all of them in a job that many people could not do as most of them are nearing the end of life.

Mother is well cared for. Everywhere clean and tidy. We are always welcomed when we visit which can be any time. Medical attention is prompt if needed. My mother does not always like the food but she was always a faddy eater. There are various activities and visits for the residents. Rooms are very
good size and are all en suite.

When looking for a care home for mum, my sister researched the internet for a suitable home. A friend of ours father comes to Moorgate Village for respite and she suggested we looked at Moorgate. After seeing the facilities we took mum to look at it, she was very happy with what she saw. We didn't think
she would settle there but having been there since June mum wished she had done it earlier, because she feels safe and secure with staff looking in on her at regular intervals. That gives us peace of mind knowing mum is secure and happy in her new surroundings.

Present were the care home manager, myself, my sister- obviously my mother. The manager explained the forward looking position to us regarding things such as resuscitation procedures and health and safety issues. My mother was particularly re-assured that if she became really ill she would have the
option of staying in Moorgate Croft. We had a few issues of our own which we discussed but we came away from the meeting quite assured that these would be dealt with.

Lauren is another of our managers who have been promoted through the ranks over the last thirteen years - starting as an apprentice carer. She has worked tirelessly throughout that time, sacrificing much for the good of the home and we were delighted to offer her the manager’s role. She is the perfect fit for Moorgate Croft, and nothing gives us greater pride than seeing someone evolve and become a manager.
