The manager and the senior carers were always very helpful and co-operative. The care and consideration given to us and the compassion for my father from all the carers during his final days was exceptionally good.

Good care and supported by staff day and night. I know I'm an awkward old bat and I don't know how they put up with me, but they are always good with me and very polite. Nursing care is very good and staff are always helpful.

This residence is so lovely, my friend really loved it. She said they care about her and help her with whatever she needed. They were very friendly and accommodating. I saw them treat her with care and respect. She really had lots of lovely things to say about them. I saw this with my own eyes. Highly recommend. I only visited and want able to enter.

I have nothing but the highest praise for the care and attention our mother has received whilst being a resident here. This is down to each and every member of staff. In the last few difficult months, when we have not been able to visit, we as a family, know that Mum is being kept safe and sound. With all the negative pees about care homes at present, it is a shame that Moorgate Croft and many others looking after their residents are not getting the praise they so richly deserve. Thanking you all.

Moorgate Croft have done an excellent job of keeping all residents safe during the Covid pandemic, having closed to all non-essential visitors on 16th March. Communication has been via phone and we have also seen our relative through the reception window.

Our mum is happy and that's good enough for us. Staff are very friendly and polite. She had an illness which was cared for extremely well. All of which makes it easy for us as a family to cope with. Thank you to everyone.

My mum has been at Moorgate Croft for 6 1/2 years. I have always found that they care for mum's needs very well. If I ever have need to talk to the manager she is always there to listen, also the staff are very friendly and I can see that they really care for mum.

I find that the staff and manager do a fantastic job, they have patience and treat the patient with respect and care. I have admiration for all of them in a job that many people could not do as most of them are nearing the end of life.

Mother is well cared for. Everywhere clean and tidy. We are always welcomed when we visit which can be any time. Medical attention is prompt if needed. My mother does not always like the food but she was always a faddy eater. There are various activities and visits for the residents. Rooms are very good size and are all en suite.

When looking for a care home for mum, my sister researched the internet for a suitable home. A friend of ours father comes to Moorgate Village for respite and she suggested we looked at Moorgate. After seeing the facilities we took mum to look at it, she was very happy with what she saw. We didn't think she would settle there but having been there since June mum wished she had done it earlier, because she feels safe and secure with staff looking in on her at regular intervals. That gives us peace of mind knowing mum is secure and happy in her new surroundings.

Present were the care home manager, myself, my sister- obviously my mother. The manager explained the forward looking position to us regarding things such as resuscitation procedures and health and safety issues. My mother was particularly re-assured that if she became really ill she would have the option of staying in Moorgate Croft. We had a few issues of our own which we discussed but we came away from the meeting quite assured that these would be dealt with.

Lauren DaviesJob Title:Manager

Lauren is another of our managers who have been promoted through the ranks over the last thirteen years - starting as an apprentice carer. She has worked tirelessly throughout that time, sacrificing much for the good of the home and we were delighted to offer her the manager’s role. She is the perfect fit for Moorgate Croft, and nothing gives us greater pride than seeing someone evolve and become a manager.
