Croston Park Nursing Home

To me that was high praise. (The highest). The time I spent visiting I saw the same thing. Thank you!

My mother was well looked after by friendly carers with whom she had a good relationship. The home is spotless and Mum was always clean and dressed in clothes of her choice. She particularly enjoyed time in the lovely gardens. End of life care for Mum and family was very compassionate.

My brother was 'a quiet man' but one who always enjoyed the activity and social interaction of a busy home. Thank you to Croston Park for providing a special place for him!

Dad spent the last 18-months of his life at Croston Park. During this time, he was very well cared for. The home had a pleasant, welcoming atmosphere and always extremely clean. During the last week of his life, the care he received was exceptional, and although we were under covid-19 restrictions, I was given every opportunity to visit him. I cannot thank the manager and all the staff enough; they were wonderful.

We have had our differences and issues but on the good side, when Mum became very ill and nearing the end of life, the staff were very good, considerate and helpful. They really could not do enough for me and Mum. I thank them for everything.

My dad was only in the care of Croston Park for 2-3 months. He was well looked after and cared for.

The communication was excellent all round and I was notified of any changes in my mum's condition and when the GP was needed.

Unfortunately, my experience of Croston Park was during the Covid pandemic and therefore I can't comment on food or facilities as I didn't see them. I can say that my Dad received the best care with dignity. The staff were all lovely and the management helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and I would recommend Croston Park.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time in the care home. The staff was, without exception, friendly, caring, and helpful. I was made to feel safe and welcome. The staff ensured I received the medical and nursing care I needed following my stint in the hospital. The food was very good and helped me to regain my appetite after a period of weight loss. My condition improved considerably after the care of the home.

Croston Park has been the most wonderful home for my mother. It is set in beautiful grounds which makes outdoor activities and visits a real pleasure. She was loved and cared for as part of a family and visitors quickly became part of that family atmosphere. The cleanliness is impeccable, and good plentiful food is a priority. The staff need a special mention as their love and compassion throughout all circumstances is boundless. Mothers stay at Croston Park was a very happy period in all our lives.

My sister has been very well looked after in the weeks that she has been here.

My dad came to Croston Park for end of life care. His stay was brief however the staff connected with him instantly and provided the highest level of care. My dad was comfortable, treated with dignity, and supported until he passed. Staff was kind, attentive, and communicative and I thank them all.

Was completely taken aback by the care and professionalism of the entire staff. Could not be more contented that my wife spent her last days in their care.

My husband resided in Croston Park from December 2019 until 30th April 2020. He was treated with great kindness and caring. It was a massive relief for us his family to know the wonderful treatment he was given. We were so lucky he was able to go to Croston Park. He had an inoperable tumour and they made the few months of his life very comfortable. All the staff are lovely.

My aunt spent her last few weeks at Croston Park where her care was excellent. On behalf of the family, I’d like to thank all the staff for the care given to her, which I am sure made her last few weeks as peaceful as they could be. It can't be easy, especially in the current situation. My uncle has early-stage dementia and great consideration was shown to him too on his regular visits to my aunt.

Only things I would say is the food is at best very average, particularly the evening meal and I suspect there should be more staff to cope with the demands of the home.

My dad was only a resident for a short time and whilst he was there he was treated with dignity and respect. I arrived at different times and no matter when I attended, you could hear staff talking to the residents in their care in a kindly, patient manner. Dad's room was well appointed and the communal areas were comfortable and homely. The staff kept me informed regarding Dad's care and they ensured me that all his medical needs were met. The home has a friendly atmosphere and when I visited I never felt I was in the way and was always welcomed. I would recommend the home to anyone's loved one.

Since the moment my mum set foot through their doors, my mum was treated with respect. She was looked after as I would look after her myself, maintaining her dignity and cleanliness. The staff were very helpful (nothing was a problem for them) and extremely kind (always willing to give hugs). The rooms were spacious, personalised and always extremely clean. The care home sorted all financial matters out very quickly and efficiently and at the end of my mum's life, they could not have done more for us and her. Well recommended !!!
