Staff very friendly, management welcoming and the home itself is very clean and tidy. Food excellent would highly recommend, dining rooms are lovely, plenty of activities. Good service all in all. Regular staff training. Perfect home.

My mum moved here in November from another care home. The change in Mum is remarkable. She has gone from being in bed most of the time at the other care home to being up and dressed, eating her meals at the table, and interacting with other residents and staff. We are very happy with Hazeldene. The staff are always helpful and management has always addressed any concerns or worries we had regarding Mum. As a family, we would recommend Hazeldene Care Home.

I have always found the staff to be helpful and friendly. I have always been informed by the staff if the resident has been unwell or had a fall and what treatment has been done. The relative that we have is in the dementia unit, and I know that it is not easy looking after someone with this illness, and I appreciate everything that they do.

The team have taken care of my Dad, engaging and encouraging active participation in activities that would stimulate his mental health and physical well-being. The managers have always taken time to engage and socialise with the residents.

Our family feel that this 'care' home isn't fit to look after anyone, never mind my relative. Every time we visit something is amiss, staff are ignorant and ignore requests you make. The building is dangerous. corridors are uneven, causing the risk of falls to be high. Staff are sparse and some are rude. On one visit the main front door had a note on it stating the lock was broken. This should have been fixed immediately as it caused a massive fire risk to residents, and visitors getting stuck in corridors between rooms behind locked doors. On our last visit a note was on the door 'We have an influenza outbreak' you should wear PPE and a face mask, none were available. We collected our relative for a family meal and they had food over their clothes. Relative had a fellow peer's medication in the room. Residents appear to be placed in a room with other residents without a choice of if they want to sit there and no activities are seen during visits. Always loud music in the lounge restricting conversation during visits.

We did not have a good experience of this care home. Our loved one was left with food all over his hands and table and face from the day before, and was unshaven and not listened to. Some staff were caring, but others behaved as if every request was a burden to their shoulders. Some staff were passive aggressive, leaving our loved one to feel as though they were being a nuisance just to ask to go to the toilet. This led to even worse consequences. It was awful to see the degradation in my family member. We have since moved to another care home with much better results. I would honestly say that Hazeldene were neglectful.

The continued care and support of mother is exemplary. Is this the best care home in the world? Well no, but for the charges the facilities are more than adequate. Recently the cleaning staff decided Mum's curtains were not in the best state, so they got new and replaced them. There is maintenance in the building that needs attention, but some larger items have been completed in the last year (extended car park). The extra comes from the staff, not just there to provide, they generally and genuinely care. I am genuinely happy with Hazeldene Care Home and have recommended it to others who can no longer cope at home.

All staff are friendly and communication is good. The home is in good condition with nice decoration all round. The bedrooms are nice in size with a good outlook. Always having things on and trips out which improves residents state of mind.

My grandad has lived at Hazledean residential home for almost a year and has settled well due to the patience and kindness of the staff. He has been on a couple of trips out as well as singers etc to come into the nursing home. When I visit they always have time to update me on how my grandad has been. They always seem to have plenty of staff on duty who are always helpful. His room is lovely and kept warm, he also has a TV in his room. Grandad hasn't always been someone who socialises and the staff allow for him to have time in his room too as the previous care home would not allow this. Thank you to all you guys for everything that you do for everyone which makes their lives and the families lives that much better.

My experience of care home for my sister is excellent. Well cared for. Most times when I visit her always smartly dressed and very clean hair. Most of times are well cared for has been times, not many, that not been very pleased with the carers but spoken to staff and all the staff are very pleasant to speak to. No trouble for them at all. Mix up of clothes only real problem. Very well cared for.

Since my dad has been in Hazeldene, he has settled in really well. All the staff are hard-working, friendly and efficient. His general health has improved with him gaining weight and the strength to walk. This is a testament to the good food he enjoys and the mental stimulation.

Our family member has been a resident here for almost five years. Throughout that time, she has been really well cared for. Always clean, comfortable and well thought of, and her care by the staff has been of the highest standards. Her needs, both personal and medical, have been met on every occasion. Any concerns or worries have always been listened to and addressed. The home is very clean and well run. The supervision is superb. Absolute confidence in them.

Hazeldene Care Home has been wonderful in looking after my mother. The care and attention to detail is much appreciated by the family - my mother also expresses her gratitude for the kindness shown we feel this is a happy and caring environment.

I have found the whole experience of my mother coming to live in Hazeldene Care Home second to none. I cannot praise the friendliness and the care the staff provide highly enough! Nothing seems to be a problem for them and I am always made to feel most welcome. I never imagined my mother would settle in a home, and yet she has, and it's all down ot the staff. Thank you.

Hazeldene Care Home is a very happy place. On arrival the staff are very helpful, nothing is too much trouble. I was a carer for my friend we have known each other for 40 years and a good friend of the family, who live away from Blackburn, so I visit twice a week. My friend is well looked after and she's very happy. If my friend gets fretful they phone me so I can speak to her, Which is excellent. This has previously been good during Covid when we couldn't visit.
