My dad has been a resident at Hillview since Nov 2022. The staff are lovely, very much like Dad is at home. I am made welcome on every visit no matter what time, my dad is so well cared for and I have no worries. Tonight I was shown a video of Dad singing and dancing, he had a lovely valentines afternoon.
The staff work so hard they are a credit and should be rewarded for their care and patience, you can feel the warmth when you visit. Whoever reads this should reward these members of staff you are very lucky to have such a loyal hardworking team, the residents are happy, and well looked after. Thankyou.

Hillview care home looked after my Mum from Jan 21 - June 22 after 6 months in hospital. Their care of Mum during COVID was very good with some outstanding carers improving her wellbeing over the first 12 months. In early 2022, a new management team took control with a different regime and many of the
staff were clearly unhappy and leaving with agency staff filling in who didn't know Mum. In May 2021, they gave notice that they were removing nursing care as they deemed none of the residents needed it. My Mum was assessed by an independent NHS panel and proven to need nursing care. We had only 1 month to go through the turmoil of moving a fragile old lady to somewhere she could get the appropriate care and they removed nursing before she left. 8 weeks on, they haven't even moved Mum's specially made wheelchair to her new nursing home despite several requests.
If you need care for a loved one, ask yourself whether these are the sort of people you would trust to look after them.

I attended the home every week to see my good friend and have been doing so for a few years now. I have seen the staff work under pressure but still extremely professional. I have only ever seen them treat the residents with dignity, kindness and respect and I would like to thank them all for their
hard work. There has been some recent changes to the home on the management side and I feel the manager and deputy manager are very approachable.

When my wife was taken into residential care I was devastated and lonely. However, it soon became apparent that she was in a very good home and thriving on the care that she received. Her general condition has improved except for mobility and she has made some friends and is mostly cheerful. My son
and I, and others, visit her regularly now that we are allowed to and I am happy now that I know that she is well cared for.

Hillview Care Home is a friendly home-from-home place.
The staff have been so kind to me and my family and I can't thank them enough. The care given to my relative has been excellent but above all, kind.

My visit to this care home is always a pleasure. The staff look after my aunt really well and I have no problems with the manager who has always been welcoming even in these difficult times.

Hillview feels like home straight away. The staff are always friendly and polite. Even with Covid, I have been able to keep in regular contact with my friend and appreciate the efforts staff have made to keep everyone safe. The home always appears clean and tidy and is decorated to a good standard.
The company has recently bought the care home a car which will benefit the home tremendously.

My father-in-law is having the time of his life at Hillview. He was 91 in February and an afternoon tea was laid out for him and his family. He thoroughly enjoyed being the centre of attention.
As Covid19 hit us in March 2020, the family have been unable to visit but he often features on the Hillview
Facebook page. He has joined in with crafting, baking, themed meals such as Chinese, cheese and wine and pizza. He also joins in the keep fit and even took over as leader of one session which kept carers on their toes.
It is true to say that my father-in-law is quite a character and loves to be the centre of attention. He gets lots of this at Hillview.
He has a good size single room and is kept clean and tidy. He is also diabetic and the staff make sure he has his daily injections, something he could never have done if he lived alone. We are grateful to Hillview for the care and attention at a time that is extremely difficult for all.

Hillview is a friendly place to be. Staff are always friendly and helpful and nothing is too much for them. The home is extremely well decorated, with homely touches around the home. My friend enjoyed the food within the home and especially enjoyed the home baking. I was always made to feel welcome

My friend was extremely well looked after by the staff at Hillview Care Home. The home was beautifully decorated and so clean. Management were extremely approachable. I was always welcomed on each of my visits and noted that staff were attentive, ensuring residents were well looked after. The food looked
nice and there seemed to be plenty on offer. I was so happy that my friend was able to reside at Hillview where she was extremely well looked after.

My mum was in Hillview from the end of October 2018 until she died in mid-December. I found the home to be clean and well furnished, and there was a real effort to create a nice atmosphere eg Halloween party and Christmas events. However, the key thing that stood out for me was the attitude of every
single member of staff that I dealt with over this period. Staff treated residents with respect and genuinely seemed to care about them. I often attended unannounced at different times and I could hear staff speaking to me mum trying to make her laugh etc as they provided care.
At the end of life, the care provided by the entire team including the nursing staff was excellent.

My mother was resident at Hillview Care home for approximately five years during which time she was well cared for and liked by all the staff who always kept me informed of any concerns and made me welcome whenever I visited mum.
During mum's final week, she was treated with patience, dignity and compassion.
I spent a lot of time with her at that time and feel comforted by the kindness shown to me by all the staff and the way mum passed peacefully in her sleep.

My dad was taken to Hillview in September 2017. I cannot thank the management and staff enough for the care they gave Dad. They not only looked after Dad but us family as well, especially when we stayed for four days and nights with Dad.
They brought all visiting family tea and biscuits and made us
tea and toast in the morning. I cannot praise these people enough. They made Dad’s last few weeks comfortable and a loving, caring environment. So thank you again, we will be forever grateful to you all. The comments below about management and care/support - they went over and above. Excellent thank you.
