My dad spent 9 months at Springfield House and he was extremely well cared for during that time. He was very unwell when he arrived but we were relieved to see him improve with excellent care and support.The staff team are very friendly and kind. They quickly got to know dad reassuring and encouraging him every day. My dad was encouraged to join social events when he was well enough to do this. There are regular activities for residents to enjoy and the staff team really try to provide entertainment and celebration for special holidays. My dad spent most of his time in his bedroom due to his illness, but the staff made sure he was not isolated. His door was always open, there are speakers in the corridor conveying music from the radio and the staff would pop in whenever they were passing. My dad was so well cared for he has been able to return home. He has a big package of care to support this, but it is thanks to the wonderful care he received at Springfield House that he can do this.
