I am happy that my mum is receiving the appropriate care and is being well looked after. She always seems content when I visit. I am very happy with the activities and social gatherings offered. The staff really make an effort to get everyone involved who wants to be, which is really nice to see.
Thank you for your kind words; your feedback is really important to us and appreciated by all the team.
St Oswald's has taken amazing care of my nana since she moved here. All the staff are so friendly and smiley. As a family, it is great to see the wide variety of activities the residents get up to. The care home is always clean and tidy too. It is comforting knowing how happy and safe my nana is in St Oswald's care.
Thank you for your lovely comments; we are so pleased that you are happy. It's a privilege to have Nana in our care.
I have nothing else to describe this facility as excellent. My father is in, without any doubt, one of the best homes he could be in. He is happy, and the staff have always been hospitable and friendly to me, also a lovely place to visit!
My mother has been in St Oswald's House for just nearly two weeks. She seems to be improving slowly. I am hoping that physio is going to help her improve further. My hope is that she can get, hopefully, get better so that in the future she can come home, but with time and care, this is the aim and her health improve to the best it can.
Organised with a lot of activities on offer.
Set within beautiful grounds, even with a few bunny rabbits hopping around.
Calm and peaceful.
We had an unexpected event, and Mum was taken to see St Oswald's, and she wanted to stay immediately. Mum, 86, was accommodated four days later. She wanted to join in activities immediately and has adjusted to this full-time accommodation, and likes it to being in a hotel. I am so pleased, and all requested food, hairdress etc, all done.
Mum has said she enjoyed her stay, the food was lovely, and the staff were friendly too.
Covid safety protocol was followed on each of the visits made to my mum.
I always find the staff polite, pleasant and helpful. The venue is always clean and tidy. Mum loves living here and cannot praise it high enough. The Facebook site enables us to see Mum in various activities.
Both my parents have been residents at St Oswald's. Dad sadly passed away. The care provided to both parents is extremely excellent. Nothing is impossible. The support that all the staff give to our family is equally excellent. The home has a "happy environment", and each visit never feels rushed. No matter how busy the staff are, they always take the time to listen to our concerns and answer questions about my mum's health and care. Although Dad passed, the staff still continue to show their care and compassion and always ask how we as a family are coping. St Oswald's is truly a home from home experience.
We are very happy with the care and respect that my relative, who has multiple health problems, is receiving. The home is welcoming, comfortable and hygienic. All the staff we have met from nursing, caring, administration and housekeeping are pleasant and approachable. We would recommend St Oswald's for short term or long term care.
Since my mum was admitted to St Oswald's House almost three years ago, I felt that she has been looked after and cared for with dignity and empathy. I was originally concerned when my mum first went into the home, but my concerns were quickly alliterated due to the contact quality care and attention that she was receiving. This step was an extremely difficult decision to make, but I have absolutely no regrets. Everyone is both hard-working and professional in their approach.
Thank you, Vincent, we always appreciate individuals taking the time to give their feedback, and we are very pleased to hear that your experience at St Oswald's Care Home has been so positive. All of our team are committed to providing the best possible care experience for all of our residents, and it is very rewarding to have their efforts recognised.
Mum has been a resident since last May and has settled extremely well, and I would say mainly due to the way she feels so loved, cared for and accepted. She feels it is like a family. She was quite fussy about her food, but the staff listened to her and have gone above and beyond to accommodate her and meet her needs. Mum loves the activities, and the team do amazingly well with their ideas! I have found the management and senior nursing staff always approachable and caring towards Mum. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending St Oswald's to anyone.
Thank you, Carolyn, for your wonderful feedback about our home. We are pleased to hear that your experience has been positive, and we appreciate all of your kind comments about our team. Have a wonderful day!
My aunt has been happy in the months she has been here.
My mother settled in very quickly and was soon taking part in activities/games. She has had her health problems but for the most part, has been well looked after.
It is very reassuring to know that my mum is being kept comfortable, clean and safe.
It's all down to the wonderful and caring staff (and the lovely food they serve).
My dad was at St Oswald's for over five years, it became his home and a second family for us. The care up to and including his final day/hours was of a high standard, the relationship he and we had with staff was brilliant. He had key senior care and nursing staff supporting him daily including the manager, all went above and beyond and all were friendly, attentive and shown empathy and affection to him and his family.
It is hard to find adequate words to express our deep gratitude to the manager and all the nurses, carers and staff at St Oswald’s for their treatment of Mum during her twenty months residence. The cheerful and homely atmosphere of the home and the beautiful grounds, together with the unfailing kindness and compassion of all the staff ensured that Mum was as comfortable as possible throughout her stay and particularly in her last days. Your support for us during this time was also greatly appreciated and will not be forgotten. We hope you all keep safe and well during this difficult time for everybody and that it won’t be long before we can pop in for a cup of tea and a chat.
Nothing has been too much trouble face to face, on the phone or social media.
Feels like we leave Dad on a holiday being cared for and getting anything he wants.
All we can say is in the short time we have been in contact, thank you to each and everyone involved in running a superb caring home!
Thank you for your feedback following your recent experience at our home. We are happy to learn it has been a positive one. We appreciate you taking the time to let us know how we are doing. Have a wonderful day.
My mum has been a resident at the home for nearly six years. She is a resident due to a mobility issue following a stroke and does not have any illnesses generally. That all changed just over two weeks ago, when Covid came into the home and Mum was tested positive. The staff have been amazing, and I can't thank them enough for the care that they have provided to my mum throughout the last few weeks and also the compassion that they have also provided to me with their continual reassurance that they were doing all they can to make her comfortable. She's smashed Covid and is now making a slow recovery. I have been constantly on the phone and not once have I been made to feel that they are too busy to talk. All the staff are a credit to this home, many of them leaving their homes to make sure that they can care for our loved ones. So from the bottom of my heart and on behalf of all mum's family; we thank you all, and we will be forever grateful!
Thank you, Jane, for your wonderful feedback and kind words about our team at St Oswald’s House. The care and wellbeing of every resident is always our number one priority, so we are pleased to hear you feel your Mother has been treated with the care, kindness and compassion she deserves. We are...
