Amazing care home, no concerns. My mum is very happy and well cared for.

Very friendly staff, very caring and helpful towards the residents and visitors. Mum has been well looked after from day one/ My father visits twice a day and is made to feel very welcome.

The entertainment activities are first-class, well done!

My dad was a resident at Summerville for 3 months, whilst he was here he always appeared to be well looked after, content and enjoyed the activities that one member of staff in particular arranged. The staff were always cheerful and attentive, nothing was too much trouble and they were always caring and kind both to Mum, Dad and myself. The food is excellent, everywhere is very clean and the social areas provide a homely atmosphere for the residents to socialise and get together. It's a wonderful place that I would recommend to anyone.

My mum has been at Summerville Care Home for four and a half years. When I first looked for a nursing home I started my search near to home but wasn't satisfied with any of them, so gradually widened my search. As soon as I walked into Summerville I knew straight away that this was the right one - no shouting from dementia sufferers, no offensive smells and just a generally homely atmosphere with good home-cooked food and lovely, caring staff. Sadly the management has changed numerous times which has been upsetting.

All staff are friendly, helpful and caring, always happy to answer any questions we as a family have. Number one priority is the resident and family come close behind.

The only problem is with the staffing within the home. They seem to have an influx of staff who have English as a second language. I often have to ask them to repeat what they are saying. Talking over the telephone is extremely difficult. They are extremely caring, but my mum has great difficulty understanding some of them. The home is still looking for a senior manager, which means that the staff lack leadership.

Caring, helpful and attentive staff, residents and visitors all made to feel important. Spotlessly clean throughout, rooms are nicely decorated and catering is excellent, both in quality and choice, really pleased my father is getting the care and attention he needs. Couldn’t have found a better place, many thanks to the whole team.

All the staff are helpful and always smiling, they look after the residents and treat them with dignity and respect as far as I have seen and can't praise them enough. My mum is well cared for and all her needs are met. The food choices are good and all the residents always seem happy when I go in.

The staff at Summerville Care Home were amazing with my mother, we were really happy with how they cared for her and how they informed the family during her last days. Such a wonderful place. Thank you very much.

Every single member of staff cared for my nan with dignity and kindness. The way staff looked after her was excellent, but also the compassion and care given to me and my mum (including other family members) was outstanding. Thank you to all staff at Summerville; you are angels.

The staff went beyond to look after my mum. They treated her with dignity, care and love, and during her last 8-days, they also looked after us the family day and night and treated us as their family.

My father is well looked after and is very happy.

Staff are very helpful, and the home has a welcoming feel about it. The staff offer a good level of care and support and establish good relationships with the residents.

The nurses, carers and chefs are so helpful and carry out their duties with love and understanding. My wife and I are so impressed and my wife thinks the meals are great and something to look forward to. Thank you all so much!

Having 26-years experience of care homes and the challenges they face. I find Summerville to be very efficient and caring. Nothing is too much trouble, and the residents are well cared for and well fed.
