My grandma has recently become a resident here, starting with two weeks respite. We all, as a family, are extremely happy with her care and how she has settled into the home. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and they are always so friendly and supportive.
Grandma has said she feels at ease,

It is difficult to comment on many aspects of this review, due to the lockdown owing to this awful virus. I must express my appreciation for the efforts made by staff and management to keep both care home and residents safe.

My wife was in and out of care homes and hospital for a year before her death in Chapel View, due to the effects of a stroke. The staff loved her and put her at ease. She was as happy as she could be, given separation from us, due to the Covid. Thank you for her care and your support of me.

I was confident from the first conversation I had with the manager that Chapel View would take good care of my mum - and they did right up until the end. Mum had several health problems including Alzheimer's and could be 'difficult', but the staff helped and supported Mum and us, the family for almost
9 months. They all won her trust and several her heart (I could tell by the way she looked and smiled at them). Initially, they helped her to walk again, and as Mum deteriorated, supported and encouraged her in every way she needed. The kitchen staff bent over backwards to tempt Mum's failing appetite. In her final days, Mum continued to be treated with care, dignity and respect and we, her family, were fully supported. Throughout Mum's stay, we were kept informed of hospital appointments as they came in, whenever her GP had been called, etc. Any questions or concerns we had, were listened to, discussed and acted upon if necessary. I will be forever grateful for everything the team and the manager did for Mum and us during a very difficult period. Not only am I 'extremely likely' to recommend Chapel View - I already have!

All staff I have found to be excellent, helpful and caring to my mum. There has been an occasion recently Mum fell and they contacted me to let me know even though she hadn't hur herself, it was nice being informed. They have improved the home with new decorating, which makes it look more homely and
relaxing. I do not always have chance to see what activities are ongoing, but appear to be good what I have seen although not involved with.

The care home is clean and tidy, the meals are brilliant, and the staff are very caring and get the job done with a minimum of fuss. The home is well run due to very good management.

All the staff at Chapel View are very pleasant and friendly.


They care for my mum very well indeed, considering how she can behave due to the severity of her dementia.


She is well fed, the meals always smell and look lovely.


They do their best to ensure she's clean.

Chapel View is a welcoming and happy place to live. The staff are all efficient and kind. Nothing is too much trouble. The food is excellent and there is plenty of it. It is always warm, homely and clean and tidy. My friends are always made welcome when they visit me. When I became ill - they took extra
special care and called a GP out for me. I feel very safe and secure at Chapel View.

My mother is well cared for and enjoys being here. The staff are pleasant and helpful given the amount of work they have to do.

I feel that Mum has really settled in, she seems quite comfortable around other carers and residents. Some carers are better with her than others. Sometimes she's not as clean as she should be but she can be very stubborn so she needs a lot of prompting to do things. She won't talk much so sometimes
her clothes are wet as she hasn't been taken to the toilet, so she needs to be taken more often.


I still do her washing for her so I don't understand why her clothes and underwear go missing, or why she ends up with other people's clothes, but on the whole, it is a good home, and Mum seems happy here. The home itself is a bit old fashioned now and could do with bringing up to date, but it is always kept clean and staff do their best with what they have.

Staff here are very caring and patient. They treat everyone individually to their needs. The food is exceptional, freshly cooked on site. Staff are always on hand if you need anything or to talk over concerns on health matters or day to day things. I would and have recommended Chapel View Care Home

Very caring environment, residents are well looked after. A lovely atmosphere where nothing is a problem and staff very friendly. Meals are very nice. Rooms are clean and decorated nicely. The home itself is kept clean and carpets are shampooed regularly.
