Ladyfield House is situated in a peaceful rural location overlooking the Yorkshire countryside. Ladyfield is a 48 bedded residential home providing care for the elderly and people living with dementia.

Tasty homemade meals are prepared daily by the home's own cooks, residents can choose to enjoy meals in the dining rooms or in their own room if preferred. All individual dietary needs are catered for.

At Ladyfield, they recognise the importance of recreational activities and have a dedicated activities coordinator who plans each day based on the choice and preferences of the residents. They also have a secure garden for residents to enjoy.

We are so pleased that we found this care home for Dad. We live a distance away, and the staff have been so flexible and understanding when we have needed to visit outside normal visiting hours. The staff are clearly invested in Dad. We are confident that he is well cared for 24/7 and this gives us

Although my father was always reluctant to go into care, the best decision made was for him to go into Ladyfield House. He spent four happy, comfortable months there. He was looked after by an excellent team. The manager was always available to talk to and her support staff ensured that my father was
always clean, well-fed and looking better dressed (clean clothes every day) than he had been for a long time whilst insisting on looking after himself at home. He had two stays in hospital during his time at Ladyfield and was always welcomed back by a happy, smiling staff. During his last few days, he was cared for with dignity and understanding. My family and I were also looked after tremendously during a very sad time. I really cannot thank everybody who works at Ladyfield enough. What a fabulous place. I would highly recommend it. I felt I had to write to thank every single member of the spectacular Ladyfield team for their unwavering compassion, love and care they gave to my 98-year-old grandmother over the many years she was staying at Ladyfield. Totally trustworthy, professional and supportive, my grandmother wanted for nothing.
The expert care and attention to detail were quite exceptional and the palliative and end-of-life care given was second to none. The team are truly amazing.
As a family, we will forever be grateful for everything you did, for her and us - Thank you!

My father was accepted here for respite after coming out of hospital way too soon, all rushed, but the care home took my dad in and have been great really in the six weeks he has been here and he is now going home, thanks again to everyone.

We looked at a number of care homes for mum and after an interview/meeting and checking reviews we chose Ladyfield. That was July 2018 and we’ve never looked back. I have nothing but praise for the whole team, they are so welcoming to visitors and attentive to the residents. Mum’s care has been second
to none. She’s been entertained by visiting performers and events held by Ladyfield staff. The building is secure and extremely well-maintained. I’m so happy that Mum is happy and safe.

Satisfied with current care but would like to see staffing increased. There could be a problem when 2 or more residents require attention. This would also increase the overall scores given in this review.

Mum went into Ladyfield July this year, she now seems much happier and settled. A lot of that is down to management and staff, who are extremely caring. It requires a special person to work in a care home, especially with dementia patients, and Ladyfield have definitely found some amazing people.

Mum seems to be happy and settled, This was not an immediate process. The staff are very pleasant and obviously very skilled at what they do. It is a relief to see her comfortable and happy.

An immaculately clean and odour-free home. Attentive and friendly staff who always ask visitors if they want a cup of tea or coffee and always call visitors by Christian name. Well run and highly secure.

The manager and all the staff at Ladyfield have been incredible throughout my nana’s difficult transition from independent living to their dementia unit. Not only have they shown kindness, compassion and patience towards my nana, but also to me and my family. The manager has taken the time to explain
and reassure me whenever necessary, always putting my nana’s needs and safety at the forefront of every conversation and decision.
“Thank you” just isn’t enough for the manager and the team for the exceptional care they’re providing. Knowing that my nana is being looked after by a team we wholeheartedly trust has made this difficult time so much easier.

Really thrilled with the way the staff have helped Mum settle in. Everyone is patient and understanding and despite Mum being quite a handful in the early days, they have been nothing but positive in terms of her care. The food is obviously good - never thought I would see tight clothing after all the
weight she lost prior to her going into care. Such lovely entertainment was organised for the residents and a really positive atmosphere.
The refurbishments are great - it will be fantastic when all is finished.

The staff are very friendly but I do feel like they are understaffed at times which affects their service a lot. Good choice of food, all freshly cooked and portions are good it puts my mind at ease knowing she is getting 24/7 care.

Nan was deteriorating rapidly at home. We'd looked into local care homes but nothing felt right until we found Ladyfield. From the first I saw their website, I knew this was the one. We visited and it was wonderful. It felt homely and welcoming. They cook all meals from scratch, they host regular social
events, and it's placed in a stunning location.
Unfortunately, it's so good, they were full. But persistence is key. I called every week for two months. The staff could see we had our hearts set, and when a space became available for respite, they were quick in setting things in place. After a home visit, Nan moved in a few days later, in October 2022.
I can't begin to describe how much of weight has been lifted from the family. Nan raised us all and watching her deteriorate at home was crushing. Yet, when I see her now, she's smiling again, she talks to us. She's eating better (not one water infection since she moved in) and she's happy.
We couldn't ask for more, thank you Ladyfield.

My mum started living in Ladyfield House Residential Home in September 2022.
As a family we can't praise the staff and management enough for the care she receives. Nothing is too much trouble. As a family we know how safe and cared for she is.
