My experience of Preston Private from visiting my father who has been a resident for about a month, is all positive. All the staff are lovely, nothing is too much trouble. I am kept up to date with medical matters and any issues. Most importantly, dad is settling in well, after a shaky start, and this is all down to the care and attention he has received. He is treated with dignity and respect, and has improved physically since moving there.

even though it was a very difficult decision for me and the family to put mum into a care home, we are satisfied and very happy with mums care She is given. Overall She is treated with care and mum has made some very special friends. The care home itself is very good This makes us as a family at ease.

My mum lives at Queenswood Care Home and receives exceptional support for her complex dementia. From the moment we walked through the doors, all staff have welcomed us, and paid particular attention and warmth towards my mum.

From the very beginning, the staff have shown genuine dignity and respect in every interaction with my mum. They take the time to understand her needs, her routines, and the small details that help her feel safe and settled.

The level of personalised care is outstanding. The team adapt to my mums changing condition with patience, compassion, and real expertise. They keep me informed, involve me in decisions, and always make me feel welcome when I visit. It's clear that residents are treated as individuals, not just cared for but truly truly valued.

Queenswood has given my mum comfort, stability, and kindness at a time when she needs it most. I'm incredibly grateful for the dedication of the staff and the calm, supportive environment they create every day.

Whilst my mum was in respite the staff have all been absolutely amazing with my mum. The lvel of care, compassion, kindness, support, laughter and time spent with my mum has been exemplary. I only wish my mum would stay here in the safe, nurturing, kind environment that his care home provides 24 hours / 7 days a week! Forever grateful to you all. Many thanks, Vanessa. X

I am happy and the staff are good and kind.

I like the food. I like watching telly and singing. I like when the staff laugh and joke with me. I like the entertainment.

I find Preston Private Nursing Home PR2 9SX perfect in every way. My room, TV, toilet, bed and furniture so very good and up to date. I was warm, well looked after by all the staff with nothing too much trouble for them. So clean and service second to none. The food was delicious, so tasty and varied and came just when you really wanted it. The staff were excellent, so smiley and pleasant and always here to help. Loved my stay. Thank you.

Brilliant staff and clean environment, very welcoming and made my grandad comfortable as he has never been in care. Would highly recommend.

My mother was put in Queenswood care home with a lot of heartache from family, but since she's been in, she's improved on her social life, joining in all the activities, which the home have twice a day, loving bowling bingo and spa day which was a suprise to family, Mum loved being pampered. We, as a family, enjoyed the social side and was encouraged to join in, we had a Christmas party, another day wit had singing, music day and bowls.

The care received by my wife (Cynthia) from all the staff was magnificent. The care and support given to me and my son and daughter was also excellent. As an ex home manager myself I knew what I was observing. I have never met a more caring friendly group of staff. Their attitude towards their residents can not be praised enough Cynthia passed away 5/1/26, peacefully and well cared for.

Always a warm welcome, all staff are very friendly and helpful always very clean, when one of my mum's friends came to see her she was made very welcome, and was invited to have lunch with her. She said the food was excellent well done to the chef. The entertainment girls are also amazing as are the staff on Ladywell.

I cannot thank Ladyfield House care home enough for the exceptional care they provided for my mum. From the moment we arrived, every member of staff showed genuine, warmth, kindness and professionalism. They made mum feel welcome, comfortable and truly cared for. All her needs were met with patience and compassion. Communication was excellent and I always felt reassured knowing mum was in such safe hands. The day we came to look at the carehome we were met by two downstairs office staff. Both were warm and pleasant to us. We were taken to look at the room upstairs. My son and I both felt calm and at home. The staff upstairs are kind and caring to all residents. Nothing is too much trouble. Ive had hugs from office staff upstairs when I have been upset. I would recommend this home to anyone.

I have visited the home a lot in the last month. The rooms are lovely, spacious and clean. The food is excellent. My mother has enjoyed the activities, dominoes, bingo. The staff are attentive and caring and management always there to help and discuss the needs of Mother, to ensure she feels at home and happy.

I have lived at Ladyfield for approximately 5 years and find the staff extremely helpful. The food is really good and I enjoy the entertainment I have visited another care home and found it not good. I really would not care to live there. Overall, I think the staff and management are amazing.

My mum came to Ladyfield very reluctant. It also wasn't what we all as a family. Any care home was not our option at first, we needed to do it for our mum's best interest. We would definitely pick Ladyfield if ever needed to again for family friends. The staff are very attentive to the residents and also make time for family. Thank you.

She arrived after eight weeks at another care home which is really for clients with vert special nursing needs, my wife does not fit this critical category and hence the love to Ladyfield House.
