Always a warm welcome, all staff are very friendly and helpful always very clean, when one of my mum's friends came to see her she was made very welcome, and was invited to have lunch with her. She said the food was excellent well done to the chef. The entertainment girls are also amazing as are the
staff on Ladywell.

My wife was on emergency admission following failed respite care at another home. We were welcomed and my wife received excellent initial care. She received excellent care over the next few days and recovered somewhat from her previous care. All the staff I have met appear to be friendly and caring.
The manager is very approachable and helpful.

I cannot thank Ladyfield House care home enough for the exceptional care they provided for my mum. From the moment we arrived, every member of staff showed genuine, warmth, kindness and professionalism. They made mum feel welcome, comfortable and truly cared for. All her needs were met with patience
and compassion. Communication was excellent and I always felt reassured knowing mum was in such safe hands. I am deeply grateful to everyone for going above and beyond. I would highly recommend this care home/

The day we came to look at the carehome we were met by two downstairs office staff. Both were warm and pleasant to us. We were taken to look at the room upstairs. My son and I both felt calm and at home. The staff upstairs are kind and caring to all residents. Nothing is too much trouble. Ive had hugs
from office staff upstairs when I have been upset. I would recommend this home to anyone.

I have lived at Ladyfield for approximately 5 years and find the staff extremely helpful. The food is really good and I enjoy the entertainment I have visited another care home and found it not good. I really would not care to live there. Overall, I think the staff and management are amazing.

My mum came to Ladyfield very reluctant. It also wasn't what we all as a family. Any care home was not our option at first, we needed to do it for our mum's best interest. We would definitely pick Ladyfield if ever needed to again for family friends. The staff are very attentive to the residents and
also make time for family. Thank you.

My wife, Pamela, has been there for one week now, and she is comfortable, well cared for, and seems happy in her new environment.
She arrived after eight weeks at another care home which is really for clients with vert special nursing needs, my wife does not fit this critical category and hence the
love to Ladyfield House.

Our mother was at the care home during the month of August. She received top class care during this period. All staff, from the management down to every level , were extremely helpful, caring , courteous and friendly. The room was comfortable and kept well in order and clean. Dining facilities and
meals were absolutely fine. A special thanks to the team leader in the D'urton area who kept everything going like clockwork.
Thank you.

My mother passed away recently in this home, after only a few months residing there.
The carers are amazing and tended to my mother with compassion and dedication.
Sadly the nurses gave very sub optimal palliative care. We, as a family experienced their lack of understanding of the use of pre-emptive
medication. There were occasions these were refused or delayed. Once a syringe driver was set up, nurses repeatedly advised us pre-emptives weren't necessary!
All this contributed to my mother having a prolonged and traumatic end of life.
All I asked was that the care home have more palliative care training, this has been refused, they have not recognised their failings in my mothers care.
Rest in peace now mum.
Reply from Jayne Humphrey, Manager at Richmond Heights Care HomeWe are very saddened to see this review. I would like to reassure you that your mother passed peacefully with a family member present. The nursing team worked very closely with St Luke's and the GP surgery to ensure your mother received the appropriate treatment and care.

I can't thank the staff here enough for the way they care for my uncle they all go above and beyond for him and nothing is to much trouble. It really is brilliant that we can leave and know he is being cared for by such wonderful people. Makes a sad situation a little bit easier to cope with.

Mum has been in Ladyfield house for four years before her death. The care she has experienced is exceptional. The environment is a family atmosphere. All the carers my mum has had have always gone above and beyond. The communication has been excellent and I have always been contacted if mum was unwell.
We have recommended the home to friends who have also placed relatives there.

My father has been in Queenswood for nearly 18 months, as he was too frail and disabled to manage at home any more. Since he moved in, he has become increasingly frail and I am so glad we moved him when we did, as I know he is safe and well looked after. The home is always very clean, and homely, and
the staff are friendly and helpful. The food is of an excellent standard, and when dad first moved in he particularly enjoyed that, and looked better for it. He has had health problems at times and the staff always access the GP quickly and keep me informed if there are any issues. The garden is beautiful and we often sit out there when I visit. The activities coordinator organises daily activities and also holds events to which families are invited, eg the summer fair, the Christmas party. I would recommend Queenswood to anyone looking for a caring, residential home.
