I have really enjoyed my stay at Pexton Grange. I was a little wary at first but after the first couple of days I felt so relaxed and comofrtable. The staff are friendly and will do anything for you. The food is a lot better than I expected. If I were forced to stay in a care home for the rest of my life, I would choose Pexton Grange.

Overall Pexton Grange is a very well-run and kept place to be. The staff were very welcoming and caring, and nothing was too much trouble at any time of day. All the rooms were kept well cleaned every day there were lots of activities if you wanted to join in. The only complaint I have is the food was not always to a good standard. I was once served a burger that you could not bite into!!! The hospital food was a far higher quality.

Thanks very much for my stay at Pexton Grange Care Units, I had never heard about this rehab for patients to receive care after hospital care. I just want to thank everyone involved in getting me back on my feet and walking, etc. So a special thank you to you all. Well done. Yours sincerely, Judith.

Here for rehabilitation after operation. Staff have been very obliging and most have been cheerful. Meals were not all to my taste, but those that were were substantial. More fruit on offer would have been welcomed.

My husband's rehabilitation experience at Pexton Grange was excellent. The staff were supportive, approachable and ensured that my husband was well cared for. On arrival a nurse explained the care that Martin would receive. Communication was good and ALL members of staff proved to be part of an excellent team. Some staff were exceptional in their care and duties.

From excellent care at the hospital to excellent care at Pexton Grange.

The management were friendly, hands on and very approachable. The office staff, physio, cleaners, laundry, and maintenance staff were all approachable. Kitchen staff presented lovely meals. The nurses and care staff paid attention and care to each individual's needs. I would heartily recommend Pexton Grange to everyone.

We were very grateful for the care and compassion shown during mum's stay by every member of staff. She was well cared for, encouraged to be as independent as possible. The rehab team were professional and open with discussing and planning. Several members of staff were exceptionally supportive at this very challenging and upsetting time. The communication between social work and liaison with nursing home team was exemplary and relieved much stress. We were very pleasantly surprised with this experience.

Overall Experience
My husband was admitted to Pexton Grange in January after a spell in hospital. After his hospitalization I was no longer able to nurse him. He has Alzheimer's and can no longer walk. Having looked after him for 7 years, I had misgivings. However, my family and I found that the care he got, put our minds at rest. We have found that all the staff are welcoming and caring. He has now been in the care of Pexton for 6 months.
We have been impressed with how staff have listened to suggestions we have made and have put things in place to calm him and he now regards the staff and other residents as friends. Although he is often confused he tells me he is happy. This is a real comfort to us. I can not thank the staff enough for their ready smiles, patience and obvious skills.

Meals should be 6 stars.

Review from I S (Sister of Resident) published on 2 April 2024 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

I visited my relative on Monday 11th March to join her in a live relay on my laptop of our younger sister's funeral. All the staff from opening the front door and on her floor were extremely helpful, friendly, pleasant, and excellent in every way. At a time when I was stressed hoping the live link and video service would go well. All my visits have been good experiences but my sister and I were able to take part in the Christmas service.
