I cannot thank the staff of Pexton Grange enough for the care and love they showed mum. After a horrid time in hospital and on the verge of having no visitors at all, mum was moved to Pexton. Although she was isolated for 2 weeks, I knew as soon as I spoke to her that she was happy to be there and the staff were looking after her well. To know that your loved one is safe and happy is such a relief. Thank you so much for getting mum back home. Mum will be ever grateful.

Absolutely brilliant staff. Very friendly and helpful. Would recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay here. My mother was looked after here ever so well. I cannot fault anything that was done at Pexton Grange and cannot speak highly enough of it.

I have been cared for so well - nothing was too much trouble for all the staff here, service was wonderful. They have been so well mannered and always gave me help when I needed it.

"Lockdown" has not been easy for anyone, not being able to see your family member when they have dementia and have no understanding as to why your not visiting is heartbreaking. So imagine my delight when moms picture popped up on my phone out in the garden at Pexton sent by one of the staff (it made my day). I know that carers and care homes are getting bad press at the moment, but as far as we're concerned, they've done and continue to do a very demanding job under extremely difficult circumstances. They all need an enormous 'Clapp' and a huge 'thanks' (in their wage packets).

This is just a general review. My mum has been in Pexton for a little over 2 years. Originally she went in from hospital for rehab care before going home, but it was obvious to my brother and I that going home wasn't an option really. She wanted to stay here when we talked about looking for somewhere. All the staff are great. When she needs a doctor they get one, when she needs hospital they if myself of my brother can't. She, herself, says they really look after her. She is bedbound and there are 2 carers she likes in particular. But we feel content her being in Pexton. Thank you!

My mother who is 98 had a fall at home in early January requiring some weeks in hospital, before convalescing at Pexton Grange, prior to returning home. The quality of support she received ensured her safe recovery and promoted her self esteem to such an extent that she is now safely at home, and, although somewhat frail, is confident in herself to continue living a normal life, with support from family, friends, and care agencies.

We all cannot thank you enough.

The home is of a standard environment. All the staff are friendly and caring. The main concern is the food, I have been there when the food has arrived and it is only lukewarm and not much of a variety. My family and I bring in food to help this for my mum to be rehabilitated. I thought food standards would be a high priority for all rehabilitation needs,

Thank you for your feedback. We haven't received negative feedback about our food offerings before, but we will certainly launch a review of this. As a care provider our food has won awards in other homes.

Mum and all the family were made very welcome by all the staff.
It was our first experience of residential care and couldn't have been more favourable.
Mum settled straight away, she was shown to her own room asked lots of questions about her health and her preferences, and told how to contact staff should she need anything. I was concerned about Mum falling out of bed, and sides were fitted immediately.
The carer even picked up on Mum's love of word searches and gave her a book.
During her stay, Mum was treated with dignity, respect and consulted on her care. My Dad was also made to feel welcome, and as Mum was in over Christmas, he was allowed to come and have Christmas dinner with her, we watched the pantomime with her and joined in activities.
Mum's physios were excellent, patient and encouraging and regained Mum's confidence.
We were well prepared for Mum coming home, and the assessor stayed in contact until we were satisfied with the care package.

Thank you to all.

Pexton Grange is the best care home. All the staff from the cleaners to nurses are brilliant with my mom.
All her care needs are provided above and beyond the call of duty. Everyone is so friendly and professional. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. It is a real home from home and the best bit is my mom low calls it HOME.

Thank you, everyone.

I have read and seen on TV that some care homes are not very good. This place is brilliant and the staff are incredible.

We are very satisfied with the level of care and support at Pexton Grange.
The staff are helpful and welcoming and the nurses manage my husbands needs well.

The overall standard is good and I feel confident leaving my husband in the home's care, difficult though it is.

The staff are competent and efficient. Even more importantly they are friendly and patient. I liked them a lot and felt comfortable having my father in their care.

The accommodation is pretty nice - I have stayed in worse hotels. Everything is kept spotlessly clean and there is none of the unpleasant smell you used to get in homes years ago.

The only downside, and the reason I put "likely" rather than "extremely likely," is that a lot of the residents are in a very bad way. I don't think there's a lot of companionships to be had here.

My husband was cared for in Pexton Grange in the last five weeks of his life - he died in the home! My family and I could not have wished for better care, kindness, dignity and help. I was kept informed of his treatment, condition and telephoned by members of the staff, including the visiting doctors regularly.
