Eastcroft Grange provides a very welcoming environment as soon as you enter the front door. The staff are caring and courteous, whatever their grades. The meals provided are varied, tasty and much enjoyed. I am always offered as a visitor a refreshment to enjoy a cuppa with my relative, normality. The
residents are treated with respect, and lovely to see them mingling, whatever their limitations are. It is a pleasure to visit Eastcroft and leave knowing my relative is in a safe, caring home. Well done, one and all at Eastcroft.

Thanks very much for my stay at Pexton Grange Care Units, I had never heard about this rehab for patients to receive care after hospital care. I just want to thank everyone involved in getting me back on my feet and walking, etc. So a special thank you to you all. Well done. Yours sincerely, Judith.

Overall Pexton Grange is a very well-run and kept place to be. The staff were very welcoming and caring, and nothing was too much trouble at any time of day. All the rooms were kept well cleaned every day there were lots of activities if you wanted to join in. The only complaint I have is the food was
not always to a good standard. I was once served a burger that you could not bite into!!! The hospital food was a far higher quality.

Here for rehabilitation after operation. Staff have been very obliging and most have been cheerful. Meals were not all to my taste, but those that were were substantial. More fruit on offer would have been welcomed.

My uncle went for emergency respite to east croft and from the moment we called they couldnt do enough to help. The process of admission was made easy and well explained. Extending was never an issue and each time we popped in my uncle was immaculately turned out and happy.

Having extended his respite

my uncle sadly passed away in the home, the care given to him and us at this time has been exceptional.
It was obvious he was treated with genuine care and compassion and as an individual.

As a family we will never be able to explain how much comfort it brought us knowing he spent what turned out to be his last few weeks in such warm and caring surroundings, supported by staff who openly cared.

I would have no hesitation in recommending east croft to anybody and its a credit to the staff who all work there.

I found all staff to be extremely friendly, engaging and responsive to requests. During my father's fortnight respite residency, he was shown care and attention at all times and a determined effort to make him feel comfortable in his new environment. I had every confidence that all his personal needs
and medication requirements were undertaken efficiently and diligently. In that fortnight, it personally gave me a calming peace of mind that he was in exactly the right place for his needs, and he came out a much stronger and healthier individual - all our hoped for expectations and outcomes were achieved for him. Deeply grateful to all care staff.

My husband lived at ECG for almost two years. He had Alzheimer's and was very active. He was allowed the freedom to make it his home. The staff were his family and treated him with dignity, smiles and gentle care if he was difficult. A very professional team. Our family were allowed to visit any time
and always made welcome. The garden in summer was important, a nice social space. The dedicated nursing team who looked after him (and me) the weekend he died was incredible.

My husband's rehabilitation experience at Pexton Grange was excellent. The staff were supportive, approachable and ensured that my husband was well cared for. On arrival a nurse explained the care that Martin would receive. Communication was good and ALL members of staff proved to be part of an excellent
team. Some staff were exceptional in their care and duties.

My mother took up residence in Clarendon Grange in September 2021, just after her 100th birthday. She did not want to go into a care home, being fiercely independent. She settled in reasonably quickly, never the less, and for four years she was exceptionally well cared for by staff who had professionalism
and unfailingly good humour and empathy. I was always made welcome and kept fully informed - so useful when I lived 400 miles from Cumbria.

My uncle has been resident in East Croft since the beginning of August having transferred from an inadequate, awful home. I can't speak highly enough of the staff and care they give him as there was nothing before. He is so much happier being there, joining in many of the activities, sitting out when
he's not sure but still enjoys watching the others. His room is lovely with a big window overlooking the garden. He had been outside for little walks when the weather is nice, something which he enjoys very much. He enjoys the food and there's always a choice. I can't speak highly enough of the facilities and especially the staff and the manager. I am very happy with this placement. It has taken all the worry out of things as I know he is well looked after and cared for. I would highly recommend East Croft to anyone looking for a care home for either themselves or a loved one.
