The home was very friendly and met my mum's care needs. The staff were very caring too. Although Mum was only there for three weeks, within a day she told me she felt at home. Would recommend.

Really hard-working staff with a good rapport with residents. New activities coordinator working well on giving residents variety and choice. My only concern (and this is the same in all care services), the staff are so busy with admin type work that sometimes this dominates their working hours. I would like to see a cleark for each house to relieve the care staff to have more time to spend with the residents.

I find every one of the staff do a very good job and always watching out for the residents.

Nothing is ever too much for them and they work very hard. Since my husband has been here, I cannot thank them enough for all they do. He is very safe and well looked after, settled in nicely.

My aunt was cared for extremely well whilst in Haythorne Place. All the carers were kind and very caring. Nothing was too much trouble. They were also very supportive of us as a family.

Review from Hazel A (Daughter of Resident) published on 22 October 2018 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My dad was admitted as a permanent resident on end of life care in August '18, he passed away 8/10/18. The care he had for the last 2 months of his life was exceptional, he wasn’t the easiest of residents but he was handled with care and dignity right up until the very end. The nurses and carers really do care about the residents.

Mum was only at Haythorne for a short time before passing away, but while she was there, myself and my family are very grateful for the care she had. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. We cannot thank everyone enough.

Review from M G (Nephew of Resident) published on 1 May 2018 Submitted via Postal Card

The main asset there is the staff who are excellent, caring, professional and friendly. The only problem is there seems to be a shortage of staff at certain times. Sometimes this seems to be less than might be safe.

Review from M H (Daughter of Resident) published on 23 April 2018 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

My mum was discharged from hospital and placed here as a palliative patient. The end of life care is excellent. Mum was kept comfortable, pain-free and warm. She was kept clean and the carers and nurses were attentive and caring. I cannot fault the place and would recommend anyone looking for a dignified place for their relative to spend final days, to pick this one.
