The Laurels and Limes Care Home is a beautiful home situated in 3 acres of parkland close to the Sheffield suburb of Broomhill. Separated into two homes, one boasting the ambiance of old world charm and the other a purpose built, yet sophisticated home.

Carers offer residents and their families the support they need during what many find some of the most trying times of their lives. Families & advocates are truly grateful for the personal support they receive, when faced with one of life's very difficult decisions and pride themselves on continuing that support to residents and their families from the moment they contact throughout the whole of their stay and beyond.

The approach to care is simple - look after the person and not the ailment/condition alone - professionals want to get to know their residents and their families, thus enabling them to look after the whole person and not just to concentrate on the task in hand. Carers get to know their clients, who they are, who they were and how they have come to be at the home.

Could not recommend it highly enough. Mum has been in the Laurels over 2-years now, really settled. Small home, ten upstairs and ten rooms down, nice rooms, providing privacy and dignity, spacious and good communal dining room/lounge lots of room.
Always someone on hand to help, manager very attentive
and responds to questions quickly.
Been excellent during this last 8-months - safety first in relation to residents, and have adapted well to communications, video meetings, chats and weekly comms.

I cannot praise the staff at the Laurels and The Limes highly enough. My mum was transferred from hospital to there recently to receive palliative care. The nursing care and kindness received by mum, dad and I were excellent, especially from one of the senior nurse. We chose the Limes as it had a Good
CQC report and on speaking to the manager prior to transfer, we were assured we would be able to visit mum (this was very important to us) and we were always made very welcome. Covid measures were in place and were increased due to national changes during mum's short time there. Every single member of staff we encountered greeted us warmly, attended well to mum's needs, checked we were ok and offered support when needed. They responded quickly and efficiently to an urgent medical situation.

The care of the staff is exemplary, especially during these trying times of the pandemic. It is worth noting that not one case of COVID has been reported at The Laurels - a testament to the management and the staff. The manager, stopped visitation to the home earlier than most other care homes and efficiently
controlled the staff to ensure no evidence of COVID. Consequently, they were able to allow distanced visiting earlier than other care homes too, which became especially important to my family as it turned out to be the last few weeks of my mothers' life. She passed away saying she was happy - not just for the longevity of her life but also the fantastic care and support she received in her last few years at The Laurels. If there are any facets of the home which anyone might take issue with, they barely register in comparison to the care of their residents - that after all is the most important aspect of any care home.

I cannot recommend The Laurels and The Limes Care Home enough. All of the staff are professional and cannot do enough to help and always take time to explain procedures and answer questions. The Manager is superb and his manner could not be any better. I know that my father could not receive any better
care anywhere else and knowing this is helping to alleviate any stress or worry. The team is a great example of such a physically and emotionally demanding profession.

My mum was a resident of The Limes Care Home for the last 18-months of her life. The love and care she received during this time were of the highest standard.
All the staff worked together as a team, creating a family environment. Fun and laughter were a regular occurrence.
When it became time for
end-of-life care, the manager and staff did everything they could to keep Mum comfortable. They also listened to our wishes, providing care and support to us all as a family. For this, we will be forever grateful.

Brilliant care home.
My nan was a resident here until she recently passed away. The staff are amazing, giving such love and close care to the residents. They cannot do enough for them and the visiting family and friends. The food is great, and the daily activities and themed events go down really
well.
My nan was looked after really well during her 18-month stay here.
I would highly recommend this care home to anyone!

The manager, was very unprofessional. My brother was very unwell with advanced cancer. She promised the world, nice room etc. When he started to get really unwell she said he had to move elsewhere as they couldn’t cope! This was awful for all of us. My brother passed away a weeks afterwards in another

It is never easy when a close family member needs to move to a care home. Any initial concerns about such a move have long since gone. My sister, who has dementia, settled in really well thanks to the efforts of the care staff. For the first time in a long time, I am able to sleep at night knowing

Found the care home to be warm and welcoming on arrival with a nice reception/lounge area just as you enter the main doors. Found the staff to be very caring towards my husband and other residents. My husband seems very content in his surroundings and I think this was due to a warm welcome. All the

I was extremely impressed when I looked around for a nursing home for my husband who has transferred from hospital. The home is extremely clean. The staff from the management to others are all very kind and helpful.

I think the home is very welcoming. The residents are treated in a friendly and caring manner. All our family are treated well when we visit. We are lept up to date on how my mother is and if she has had to have any medication from the doctor.

My Mother is very happy at The Laurels. She is well looked after and enjoys the company of the carers who give time to the residents in a very humanitarian way.
