The Laurels and Limes Care Home is a beautiful home situated in 3 acres of parkland close to the Sheffield suburb of Broomhill. Separated into two homes, one boasting the ambiance of old world charm and the other a purpose built, yet sophisticated home.

Carers offer residents and their families the support they need during what many find some of the most trying times of their lives. Families & advocates are truly grateful for the personal support they receive, when faced with one of life's very difficult decisions and pride themselves on continuing that support to residents and their families from the moment they contact throughout the whole of their stay and beyond.

The approach to care is simple - look after the person and not the ailment/condition alone - professionals want to get to know their residents and their families, thus enabling them to look after the whole person and not just to concentrate on the task in hand. Carers get to know their clients, who they are, who they were and how they have come to be at the home.

Everythings to do expectations. Very caring and loving staff, such a lovely family atmosphere.
The food is excellent.
My mum is very happy here, they make you very welcome. My mum loves the exercise class and there is always plenty of entertainment and she loves having her nails and hair done.

The general words I would use are; supportive, caring, knowledgeable, positive. They try to treat all residents individuals. They are appreciative of the emotions and needs to both residents and relative alike. The home and rooms are clean environmentally. Nursing staff very attentive.

My husband has been in The Laurels since Aug 2017. Since then I have had peace of mind and feel he is safe and cared for. It's a dreadful decision to put someone in a home but my husband is now settled and appears content.

My Dad who is 91 yrs old has been a resident of The Laurels for the past 9 months. I really like the place, it has a family atmosphere about it. He struggled to settle at first but now seems really happy there, enjoys the activities (needs persuasion to take part at times) and all the staff are really
good with him.

We chose The Limes based on the recommendation of a dear family friend who chose it for herself, out of all of the homes in Sheffield, towards the end of her life; we have not been disappointed. Very kind and friendly staff. Very patient with dad's outbursts as he adjusted to being in care. Despite
losing his independence, he is now really enjoying being at The Limes, which is a big help to the rest of the family. In particular his other medical care; physiotherapy, speech therapy, etc. is being properly managed and Dad feels that he is being cared about; that someone is looking out for him. The Limes have respected Dad's independence and treated him with dignity and respect which, I feel, has contributed greatly to his successful transition to being in care. Highly recommended.

Our family is very happy with The Laurels and The Limes Care Home. The staff are great with all the residents, some of whom are very challenging. They make great efforts with them in regards to entertainment and general care. The home is warm and there is a lovely atmosphere.

Since my wife came to reside at The Limes in June 2016, the home has gone through various stages of development. Changes of manager have had an unsettling effect at times but this situation has now been resolved. The staff are very good generally and create a more comfortable environment.

Excellent service from staff and very clean. Residents are treated with respect and their dignity maintained.
The atmosphere is pleasant and inviting with no care home smells. Staff are well presented with clean/ironed uniforms.

My mother has been a resident at The Laurels and The Limes Care Home for the past two years suffering from dementia. During this time my brother and I have been highly delighted with her care. Following a period of upheaval as a result of two managers leaving in close succession. The care staff have
behaved in a most caring and compassionate way, especially when dealing with challenging behaviour. They have bee without fail cheerful and most helpful including the cleaning staff. Mum has settled in well during this time, is eating well and engages well with all members of the care team. I would have no hesitation in recommending. The Laurels care home to anyone seeking to find residential care for a loved one suffering with dementia.
