The Laurels and The Limes Care Home

We were shown true kindness, help and encouragement all along the last days of his life and appreciate the staff, who do a marathon job caring for so many sick, elderly, often lonely people. Thank you.

The staff are kind, always making an effort to look after residents in their care, I asked my grandad about it and he says he is very well looked after. He loves the sponge and custard, care workers are kind and patient with those under their care.

Aunty arrived in early October 2023 after being in hospital and another care home (she didn't like it there) she loved it here at the Laurels. The staff have gone above and beyond to give her all the care that she needed. She was treated with dignity at all times.

The staff at The Laurels and The Limes Care Home were great with my mother in the two years she lived here. Her room was comfortable and clean and at the end of Mum's life, the staff couldn't have been more caring.

Thank you so much for making sure my uncle received the very best care. Your staff are a credit to you.

Mum was content here at all times. She once said it was jolly! The staff are all very engaged in their work and dedicated to the residents. They always have a friendly "hello" and a warm smile. I never had a single concern about Mum's level of care here. The team always go over and above to capture the mood of the home - Christmas, Easter, Coronation, etc.

My uncle spent the last few weeks of his life in The Laurels and The Limes Care Home this included palliative and end-of-life care. The regular staff on Floor 2 are amazing they gave my uncle so much care and attention we couldn't have asked for more. To the care team thank you for what you all did for him. You are all amazing!

Mum was admitted to the nursing floor of the Limes building for what turned out to be end-of-life care. All the staff were both caring and professional throughout. If you are looking for this level of care you need look no further. As mum grew older we came into contact with other care homes, some being very poor but having surprisingly good reviews. This care home had a decent score but not top of the list so nearly got overlooked. How glad we were to have taken the time to visit and have a look around beforehand. The staff, facilities, regime, cleanliness, level of care, and situation were second to none. Thank you.

I was kept up to date with all her treatment by the staff and the GP. I will miss my mum but I will also miss the staff as they have become my friends.

I have visited the home more than 20 times during the past month. I find the staff very polite and friendly, parking at the home is very convenient, I find the cafe is a good idea but have not sampled it as I visit most nights to see my friend. All in all very satisfied with this place.

During Mum's stay for respite the carers made every effort to make my mum feel at home. All the staff are very friendly and caring. Mum settled in straight away. The food is very good and The Limes itself is situated within its own grounds with lovely gardens! Would highly recommend this care home. The staff at The Limes Care Home do a really good job of looking after their residents.

My nanna is very settled here. She really likes the food! They were excellent with her when she recently banged her face and went to hospital. They always keep me informed /updated, especially about her medical treatment. The staff really care. The staff have also got to know me and my three kids. They are helpful and have facilitated nanna sitting outside with us when it is warm and coming to visit my house. I think it's a nice atmosphere here.

Mum's really happy and I know sometimes she can be difficult but the staff seem able to look after her well. I think the facilities are clean and light. I did not want her to be in a dark dismal place. I have just been told that the new management is good, I cannot comment because I have not met them yet, and hence my score is satisfactory. I just feel that my mum is in a safe place. She enjoyed her trip to the sea it was very good that you took her she always loved the sea. I also feel very welcome when I visit.

After being in hospital and an interim care home since February Mum moved into The Limes in May. Every member of the staff we met were helpful, caring and compassionate with the people they were caring for, nothing was too much trouble. They cared for my Mum in the later stages of her life and were respectful and caring with the utmost dignity. Thank goodness we found this wonderful haven for my Mum in the last few months of her life.

And a big thank you to all the staff who always take the time to chat with me when visiting I know she is in safe hands and don’t get as upset now leaving.

Mum is very happy, settled and safe at The Laurels and The Limes Care Home. The staff are all very friendly, caring and approachable.

Over the last few years that my mum has been a resident, I've found that she has received excellent care and, more importantly, love.

I would highly recommend The Laurels and The Limes Care Home. My mum is in residence here, the rooms are immaculate and the dining area and TV lounge are just like being at home. The staff are excellent and are always helpful. The people in residence are well looked after. The staff are fabulous and always there to offer advice.
