Overall Experience

My mum came to stay at Laurel Bank in May. I have found the home to have a homely feeling about it. The staff are always helpful and friendly and are always caring towards my mum. Mum has seemed to have settled in very well and she always looks clean and tidy. When I visit she will always say she is happy and the staff are looking after her when I've asked. My mum enjoys the company and the activities. A happy Mum.

Laurel Bank has been my home now for the last three years.
Nice, friendly staff welcomed us. So pleased I stayed with the coronavirus around, I had company.

The new management arrived. They are very approachable and understanding. Also came many changes of improvements with more to come.

Early this year Laurel Bank changed ownership and a new management team was put in place.
The changes and improvements made in just 4 months have been remarkable and I know that there are more to follow.
The management has a vision and determination to progress further which is inspiring and encouraging for someone whose mother is a resident in Laurel Bank.
The carers are a team of people who show kindness and care in all that they do.

I would recommend Laurel Bank to anyone looking for care home accommodation for their loved one.

Overall Experience

Dad came to Laurel Bank during lockdown very suddenly and we were unable to visit him for over 3 months so I was very concerned during this time. However, I was delighted to see him looking so well last week. The staff have obviously been caring for him all this time and have been answering my anxious phone calls in a friendly and professional manner. I look forward to getting to know them all in the future and supporting them in their work. I can already notice that his quality of life is much improved. Heartfelt thanks to you all. As I have not been physically in the building due to COVID restrictions I cannot comment on the facilities accurately as yet.

My mother has been having respite care in Laurel Bank for a few years now and I am very pleased with the home. Indeed, I think it is getting better and better. She always comments on the kindness of the staff and how pleasant they are with her. She always enjoys it when a member of staff takes time to chat with her and I think being prepared to give that time is very important. She enjoys the activities she joins in with and I always feel she is in safe hands. Thank you to all.

Excellent care. Sometimes short of staff. Difficult to contact via phone, sometimes presume due to staffing pressures. Suggest answer phone facilities to be installed.

I just want to say a big thank you to Laurel bank for looking after my Nan, who is doing a fantastic job and letting us keep in touch with face time and calls whenever we want.

And my grandad who has sadly passed away, they did an amazing job and we thank you so much for that.

Mother finds staff are very friendly and go out of their way to help as did I from the very beginning of making contact. She also enjoys the food and can treat her room as home from home with her pictures and ornaments.

Overall Experience

I visited Laurel Bank with my dog as a PAT volunteer (pets as therapy). On visiting I was welcomed by the lovely staff. The visit took me all over the home including residents rooms and the communal areas with the activity coordinator, also lovely. I can easily say that I was impressed by how the staff knew each individual and their specific needs showing respect and dignity, the rooms were just like they would have been in their own homes. Finley (my PAT dog) and I will be visiting regularly to Laurel Bank to see the residents.
