Located in a residential area of Fartown in Huddersfield, Abbey Place Care Home & Dementia Village delivers high quality residential care for adults over the age of 60.

The home has 78 bedrooms in total, all with en suite facilities and modern but homely décor. Across the home you'll find spacious living areas, an on-site hair salon and a coffee shop where residents socialise with others living in the home or enjoy welcome visits with their loved ones. There is also a large dining space where residents enjoy varied and delicious meals all prepared by the in-house kitchen team.

My wife has been in Abbey Place Care Home for almost five years. During that time, my wife (who has dementia) and myself have always been treated with kindness and dignity by both management and staff. The care here is excellent and from my observation, all residents are treated with patience. The staff
treat the residents, not letting their dementia issues override the care they receive.

My husband has settled here very happily and speaks very highly of the staff. I have ticked more good than excellent because I have not been here often enough to judge. But it's good that there is something to aim for - a full house of excellent. My husband has been allowed his independence to go out
with friends and attend church. Catering staff have done their utmost to cook him meals that help his diabetes, many thanks to them. One small criticism that I hope will be accepted as constructive. I noticed on one visit a strong smell of urine in the corridor. Are incontinent residents helped and encouraged to go to the bathroom frequently and to change pads often?

I've just visited my uncle and wow Abbey Place is a welcoming and caring home. The staff have gone above and beyond to settle him in, it's so nice to see him smile again. The activities coordinator is a credit to Abbey Place. Well done staff.

From the first look round visit to moving family in, every aspect is carefully thought through and coordinated to cause the least distress and give the resident the utmost respect. Wonderful, caring, attentive, knowledgeable staff. Good food and immaculately clean. Consistent staff levels and conscientious

The staff are excellent and will go out of their way to help you, which always makes you feel better when visiting, especially if they can't communicate with you. The cafe is a brilliant place to be able to meet up with your family for a gathering.
