My mum recently moved into Fieldhead Court, what a relief after the terrible experience of her previous care home.
Mum is so happy and contented here and will only get better as she settles in.
Your staff and management here are second to none without exception. They are a credit to the company and should be congratulated. They are patient, caring, professional and effective, nothing is too much trouble.
Mum has a lovely room facing the beautiful gardens and the meals are really nice and served with a cheery smile and a few minutes of welcome conversation. The caretaker will help out in any way he can when requested.
I cannot thank everyone enough.
We would like to share our wonderful experience at Fieldhead Court. The management and colleague teams went over and above to provide an environment that enabled my mom and her family to celebrate three separate events at the care home. Mother's Day and two visits from her son, who had travelled from Florida to see mom. We were given a private room with tea and coffee. Each of these events were so special for mum and her family. We all had a wonderful time. This was mainly down to the wonderful support which was given to us by your fantastic team at Fieldhead Court. Well thanked everyone for their support at each event. My mom and her family would like the teams to receive some recognition for what they did for us. We are all very happy that mum is a resident with you and that the care team are looking after mum.
We would like to thank you for choosing Fieldhead Court and it is a pleasure to look after your mum. The team are always available for you to book events in the lounge and we will endeavour to ensure it is a great experience and we look forward to many more with mum and all the family. Thank you for your very kind words.
We found all of the departments of the care home were extremely kind, considerate, caring and professional.
Hi, Thank for your wonderful review, it is always a pleasure to care for our residents and their relatives. We always strive to do the very best we can and always appreciate feedback. Again thank you from all of us at Fieldhead Court.
My wife was a resident at Fieldhead Court Care Home, Thornhill, Dewsbury, for over 3 years. I and my family have nothing but high praise for the care, compassion and consideration shown not only to my wife but to myself also. We have all been highly satisfied with every single aspect of the care home, and I personally would put them in the 'excellent' category. My wife was in late-stage dementia, and the carers' communication skills could not be faulted.
I have informed the staff of your very kind words and they have said as well as the management team that yourself, your family and your lovely wife were a pleasure to look after and we hope you will continue to visit. We look forward to your visits and cannot thank you enough for your very kind words.
Fieldhead was the third and final home my mother lived in, and the best. Not in terms of luxury or presentation its faded Victorian splendour could be much improved by an investment of cash to improve facilities. However the staff are well led, probably not well paid, but their honesty, dedication and respect for their residents is exemplary. My mother was challenging in her Alzheimer years but they cared for her with good grace, sympathy and understanding. I highly reccomend their service for your loved one. Nothing goes missing, not even a chocolate from her box. Clothes and personal hygiene always impeccable. Kindness is the key! Im sure good management is behind the efficient running of the home, they're always happy to talk, comfort and discuss any issues. Thank you all
Hi, Thank you for your very kind words which I will relay to all the staff who cared for mum, she was definitely a character and I will treasure the photo of her sat at the back of my des taking charge of the home, she gave me quite a few laughs. Thank you
Fieldhead Court is in a beautiful peaceful location surrounded by gardens, trees, flowers, wildlife and bird tables. The staff and teams are extremely caring, respectful, supportive, attentive and professional. We could not have wished for anywhere better for our beloved dad during his end of life care. The pressure of previous weeks lifted and relief felt by our family that dad was finally safe and comfortable was immense. Only wish he could have been there sooner. Dad was treated with care, dignity and respect throughout his time there. We will be forever grateful and thankful to the fantastic nursing team and every member of staff who made sure dad was comfortable in his final days. From the first day I visited to the saddest day when dad passed away the support and care provided to dad (and to us every day/overnight) was amazing. Everyone went above and beyond and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you so, so much to everyone for everything you did for our dad.
We cannot thank you enough for those kind words. We always try to do our best, and it is at that moment in both your and your dad's care that you need us the most. Our aim is always to ensure everyone is comfortable and feels relaxed to ensure the best possible outcome. Thank you from all of us at Fieldhead Court, take care.
Her room was pleasant and airy, and smelt clean. The only negative I found was the unpleasant aroma on entering the main part of the home.
We would like to thank you for completing the review card and we are pleased that you had a good experience with us, I am however sorry there was an offensive smell and will endeavour to try and eradicate this for further clients' experience. Many thanks
Lovely residential home supported/cared for my auntie in her final few months they couldn't do enough for her lovely room with 2 windows facing out on to the park and the homes grounds lovely meals and a good selection on the menu and if they didn't have what she wanted on the menu they made her what she did fancy. When attending appointments they made sure she had a packed lunch to take with her in case she got hungry. The care home and grounds are set in a beautiful tranquil location plenty of birds and wildlife. The care home is well maintained and clean, and the grounds are well cared for. The staff and management are lovely and friendly always happy to help and go above and beyond for the residents plenty of in house activities from flower arranging, holy communion, carol singers at Christmas and a visit from crunchy the horse and Santa. Lovely and quality meals plenty of hot drinks and snacks offered throughout the day fresh juice in your room changed regularly.
We cannot thank you enough for your very kind words and to let you know your Auntie was a pleasure to care for her in the short time she was with us, our deepest thoughts are with the family as they go through the time without her. Take care
Fieldhead Court have been absolutely fantastic throughout my dads care to the end of his life. We couldn't have asked for a better care home for my dad. The staff were all lovely and were very attentive. They looked after him with dignity and respect throughout. They always had something on for the residents to do and even did some trips which he loved. We couldn't have asked for more
He certainly did enjoy his outings and getting involved with the activities within the home and his afternoon coffee in the garden with family, he was a pleasure to care for, and our thoughts are always with the family at the time of loss. Many thanks from us all at Fieldhead Court. Take care
If there are angels amongst us they most certainly work at Fieldhead Court. The respect and dignity they showed to our late father was absolutely amazing. A memory that will stay with me is that even after he had passed away the nurse on duty knocked on the bedroom door before entering and then asked our father if it was ok to enter. Wonderful people to whom we will always be thankful for making the last few days of our father's life so comfortable. If only we had discovered Fieldhead Court several years ago would our Fathers care have been so much better.
We cannot thank you enough for the kind words and we like yourself had met your father when he first needed care. I will feed your lovely words to the team. Thank you
I am very satisfied with the care and support that my mother received from this care home. My mother stated several times that she liked all the staff at the home. She stated they were friendly and helpful and treated her with dignity and happiness. She stated she was glad to have stayed here, and of course, the food was beautiful.
Thank you for your kind review; it was a pleasure to care for Mum, and we always strive for good quality care; we aim to improve our service with every experience we have with each individual, thanks again from all of us at Fieldhead Court.
Thank you so much.
Thank you and take care, Kath.
Mum was only here for a short time, the staff couldn't do enough for her, they were always friendly, polite, professional and caring. Nothing was too much trouble. When staff felt Mum needed to see the nurse she was there very quickly. We were kept informed about how Mum was doing whenever we were there. Staff were always asking if they could do anything for us too. Mum and I had more interaction with staff here in four short days than we ever did with staff at the hospital. I would highly recommend to anyone in the unfortunate position of needing to look for care for a relative.
Thank you very much for your kind feedback, we are always working hard to give the very best care to our residents and their families, having positive feedback is always a good sign that we are doing our job effectively. Many thanks from all the team.
My mother was very happy at Fieldhead Court. She had excellent care. Indeed, her health improved the first year she was with the manager and her wonderful team. Mum enjoyed the entertainment and loved singing with the staff. Thank you again for everything you did for her.
From nurses to carers, the cleaning staff are always polite caring and very professional. Also, food and drink when needed what an excellent team. I would definitely recommend this care home as outstanding and ask the whole team to keep up these superb standards. My wife is happy and now settled thanks to all involved.
Thank you for your very kind words, we always strive to give the best care we can possibly give and it is much appreciated when we get comments like yours. Many thanks from all the team.
We were very pleased with the care given by all members of your staff to my mother and the rest of our family whenever we visited the home.
Thank you for your kind words and the excellent review you have given to us, we try our very best to ensure the care of both the resident and their family members are given the appropriate care they need. Thank you from all of us at Fieldhead Court, take care, Kath.
My grandma was a resident for three years before she passed away in the tender, loving care of all the staff at Fieldhead Court. She often referred to the staff as an extended family. She loved everything about the home and her only regret was she did not come in sooner before she had a fall, with a long lie at home.
Hi Allan, thank you for those kind words, we always do our best to care for our residents, we like to think they are family as we did with your grandma. I will feed your very kind words to the staff, thank you from all of us at Fieldhead Court.
On looking for a home for our dad we wanted a 'home from home'. Somewhere for him to be in company, to mix for his social skills, to keep his mind active, to be surrounded by caring people to tend to his needs, and above all to be happy. Fieldhead Court offer all this, as you enter into a welcoming, warm atmosphere. The staff are friendly, professional and helpful with any queries you may have, tending to all residents with awareness of their individual needs. The meals are well-balanced and appetising. The domestic staff are continually taking care of the day to day cleaning and tidying. We would definitely recommend Fieldhead Court Nursing Home.
We cannot say thank you enough for the kind words, we endeavour to ensure everyone's stay at Fieldhead Court is the best and that they are offered the best care and that their individualised needs are met to the best of our ability. I will pass this feed back to all the staff and everyone at Fieldhead court thanks you.
From coming into the care home, staff made it easy to settle in with their compassion and care and attention to my needs. Rooms are homely and kept clean and tidy. Staff are well trained to pick on worries and needs and support as required.
Hi Cheryl, thank you for your very kind words, we always appreciate feedback both from residents and relatives so we can learn from what we do poorly and feel energised by what we do well. I will feed this back to the staff. Many thanks from us all.
My mum was admitted during the pandemic and I had no choice as to the home; I couldn't have chosen a better place. My mum is very happy and is well cared for. The facilities are very good and there are lots of different activities to stimulate the residents. The old part of the house is in need of refurbishment, but the newer rooms are excellent. The staff and management team are friendly and helpful and I feel involved in all aspects of my mum's care. More time and money could be spent on the exterior. For example, the door is always dirty and the signs could be cleaned. The drive and car park could be retarmacked.
Hi. Thank you for the very kind feedback and I have no problem passing the information on to the powers that be to see if it is possible to add to our improvement programme. I will pass your kind words on to all the staff, many thanks from us all at Fieldhead Court.
