I visited my neighbour, who has resided at Hartshead for just a couple of months. I was walking to her room when I overheard two carers with a resident in her room. The conversation was of a general nature: the carer's tone of voice, pace of conversation was lovely, the carers were respectful and kind,
I was delighted because this, to me, was every day stuff, a benchmark, if you like, of the culture of the home.

Mansion House near Selby is a very welcoming care home with a compassionate and very capable manager, nurses and carers. They did their best to make my wife comfortable and it was not their fault that she didn't settle there. The home's Manager could not have be more helpful and understanding. The
registered nurses and care team leaders were also excellent.

We found Mansion House to be a safe and warm home for my mother-in-law. The staff were great - faced with difficult and challenging behaviour from residents, they showed humour, kindness and respect to everyone.

My friend, the widow of a recently deceased other friend of mine, has dementia, and has been a resident of Hartshead Manor since July 2024. Prior to her becoming a widow I visited her with her husband and by myself, and still visit her. I am impressed with the high level of care and consideration given
to both her and the other residents I see when I am there.
My friend had difficulty comprehending the loss of her husband, but with the patience and understanding of the care home staff her sadness is now very much less.
I am grateful for the help I have been given in both how to talk to, and respect, my friend, and other residents, taking into account the differing levels of their sad affliction.
On my visits I have met hands-on carers, cleaners, medical staff, clerical staff, and catering staff - all, including head office staff, have shown a high level of the necessary professional knowledge and compassion needed for looking after the welfare of the residents in their care.

My husband was cared for by the wonderful team at Fieldhead Park for 3 weeks before his death.
All staff involved in his care were 'superheroes'. The family were care for also. Compassion was shown to all family, including our fabulous dog.
I would not hesitate to recommend this home.

My wife was a resident at Fieldhead Court Care Home, Thornhill, Dewsbury, for over 3 years. I and my family have nothing but high praise for the care, compassion and consideration shown not only to my wife but to myself also. We have all been highly satisfied with every single aspect of the care home,
and I personally would put them in the 'excellent' category. My wife was in late-stage dementia, and the carers' communication skills could not be faulted.

Mum has now been a resident at Mansion House for over 4.5 years. During this time, despite inevitable staff changes, the care she has received has been of a consistently high standard. She has recently had the opportunity to move into a bigger room. This has obviously not improved the care she receives
but it is better for the staff (especially the cleaners) and also for her visits. Mum's only bad care experience came several years ago and was promptly dealt with by the manager at the time.

My Mum came to Hartshead for respite in January, and decided to stay and make it her new home. She was so complimentary of the staff and how they cared for all her needs where necessary, and respected her wishes in allowing her to stay independent, and keep her dignity. When I visited I was always
greeted with friendly and helpful staff who supported Mum in every way, and also made me feel welcome. Mum became more sociable, enjoying the activities, crafts and outings that were well organised, and she made many new friends. There was always smiles and cheerful chats amongst the residents and staff. When my Mum's health steadily declined the staff were there to support and care for her in her last days, which was a comfort during this difficult time. My Mum enjoyed the last part of her life in this caring home, and I would highly recommend Hartshead to help others benefit too.

Fieldhead was the third and final home my mother lived in, and the best. Not in terms of luxury or presentation its faded Victorian splendour could be much improved by an investment of cash to improve facilities. However the staff are well led, probably not well paid, but their honesty, dedication and
respect for their residents is exemplary. My mother was challenging in her Alzheimer years but they cared for her with good grace, sympathy and understanding. I highly reccomend their service for your loved one. Nothing goes missing, not even a chocolate from her box. Clothes and personal hygiene always impeccable. Kindness is the key! Im sure good management is behind the efficient running of the home, they're always happy to talk, comfort and discuss any issues. Thank you all

My mother was only here for 2 weeks but the level of care way exemplary. All our requests were accommodated without hesitation. We chose Hartshead for the lovely gardens of location and the staff did their best to ensure she could enjoy them despite the logistical challenges this presented.
I can not
thank the staff enough for the wonderful attentive and dignified care provided my mums final few days. Support was certainly on hand for family as well which was hugely appreciated in these difficult times. Thank you.

Met the Manager and secretary in the office. Very helpful and accommodating at short notice. Only nursing home contacted prepared to help! The staff are friendly and caring. Fieldhead Court is in a beautiful peaceful location surrounded by gardens, trees, flowers, wildlife and bird tables. The staff and teams are extremely caring, respectful, supportive, attentive and professional. We could not have wished for anywhere better for our beloved dad during his end of life care.
The pressure of previous weeks lifted and relief felt by our family that dad was finally safe and comfortable was immense. Only wish he could have been there sooner. Dad was treated with care, dignity and respect throughout his time there. We will be forever grateful and thankful to the fantastic nursing team and every member of staff who made sure dad was comfortable in his final days. From the first day I visited to the saddest day when dad passed away the support and care provided to dad (and to us every day/overnight) was amazing. Everyone went above and beyond and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you so, so much to everyone for everything you did for our dad.

My late aunt received care at Fieldhead Court for 5 days prior to her death. The team were very helpful and helped her to settle in and were very friendly to us too. As I only visited Fieldhead Court twice and my aunt wasn't in a position to use the facilities, its difficult to provide an accurate review.
Her
room was pleasant and airy, and smelt clean. The only negative I found was the unpleasant aroma on entering the main part of the home.

All the staff were incredible during my mums stay over a period of three months.
Every single member of the team showed such compassionate care and made my mums final journey a loving, pleasant and peaceful experience. They were all very kind and considerate at all times and for myself and Dad as
visitors could not do enough in providing valuable information and updates, always making us feel welcome.
These experiences are difficult for families and the empathy and support shown by every member of the team was exceptional.
