I am very pleased with LC, especially with the staff. Over the time I have been visiting my wife there I've gotten to know them by name and all are so good at what they do and how they look after residents with professional dignity and it's not easy. From top to bottom everyone goes about their duties
with noticeable enthusiasm. There's a good array of activities to keep everyone from staying in their rooms and giving them an interest. The highlight of every day is when the food turns up well prepared, loved by most. Keep up the good work and never forget that you are appreciated and loved.
Reply from Renata Nadarevic, Home Operations Manager at Linson CourtThank you so much for your kind and thoughtful words. My dad has been a resident for a couple of years and is very comfortable at Linson Court.
He moved into a room at the front of the building recently and has a great view over the Batley skyline, his home town of 93 years.
Dad is bedbound but the staff regularly try to persuade him into the lounge
area and on the occasions he does so he has a great time and has entertained with his singing.
There are several staff members that have taken great care of dad, and who he speaks highly of and it's nice to see the care they obviously have for him. Recently the activities have been taken up a notch and there seems to be more entertainment too.
I've always found it easy to communicate with the staff, either nursing or management and I feel very happy that my dad is in good hands.

Our Mum was at Linson Court for a short time due to terminal cancer.
The end of life care she recieved was exceptional and on behalf of my Dad, brother, sister and family I would like to take this opportunity to thank every single member of staff that contributed to the care, kindness and compassion
that my Mum and our family received.
It is no exaggeration to say that every member of staff from the outstanding Nursing Team, Care Assistants, Cleaners to the Kitchen Team were excellent, nothing was too much trouble and they were so caring for Mum.
Once again thank you to you all XX

An excellent level of service and care, from the initial meeting with the Home Operations Manager through the well organised admission process and the continuing timely communication regarding my Step Mother's health and comfort. The staff are kind, caring and attentive, the accommodation is everything
it needs to be. My Step Mother has settled in very easily and I am delighted with my choice of care home.

My step dad was at linson court for a very short time, the care he recieved was outstanding. Our family would like to express our heartfelt appreciation for the exceptional care provided at Linson Court Care Home. From the moment our loved one arrived, the team has shown nothing but kindness, patience,
and genuine compassion. It is clear that every member of staff takes pride in creating a safe, warm, and supportive environment.
The nursing and care teams at Linson Court consistently go above and beyond. They take time to understand each resident's needs, preferences, and personality, ensuring that care is truly person-centred. We have always felt reassured knowing that our loved one is in the hands of people who treat them with dignity and respect.
Communication with families is excellent. We are kept informed, involved, and supported, and staff are always willing to answer questions or offer reassurance. Their openness and professionalism has made a difficult transition much easier

My father in law was admitted here in November 2024 for end of life care and expected death within a week. With the care and attention of staff, he became more stable and passed away in March 2025. He felt like he was in a hotel. The staff were always busy, but despite this they always went over
and above. Since he needed a halal diet, the cook made special effort for cooking the food. All the staff from the senior nurses, carers, cleaners, cook, assistants were absolutely brilliant. Social and emotional needs were dealt with to support my father in law when his son died. There was religious ministerial back up, the podiatrists and hair dressers would visit regularly. The carers dealt with his religious needs right to the final moments.
He was always washed, dressed and well cared for.
Most of all we had peace of mind in trusting that our relative was very well looked after.

My dad spend the last 4 months of his life receiving end of life care. He received excellent standard of care and was always promptly attended to. Staff were exceptionally friendly and professional are always willing to go the extra mile to ensure his care needs were well met. Halal meals were provided
and feedback was always taken into consideration. Anticipatory medicine was always given promptly so my dad did not experience any pain or different. The quality of care is unmatched and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a safe and nurturing place for their loved ones.

My mother moved into Linson Court when she was unable to return home following a hospital stay. Sadly she died after only 4 weeks with them, but I am truly grateful for the patience, kindness and compassion shown by all of the staff looking after her. Her room was clean and comfortable and we were able
to make it as close to her home environment as possible. She enjoyed the food, when she was able to eat (she was extremely picky!), and always commented on the 'home madeness" of it). The Registered Manager is easily accessible and open to feedback, and she maintains high standards throughout. I have no hesitation recommending Linson Court to anyone looking for a safe, caring and responsive environment for their loved one.

My mum has been a resident at Linson Court since 2020. I have found staff members to be caring, thoughtful, and often willing to go above and beyond for residents, despite their busy schedules.
During recent episodes of ill health, staff have been responsive to Mum's needs and wishes, and coordinated
with other health professionals such as the dietician and GP.
Mum has particularly enjoyed the garden area and has been supported in actively participating in growing flowers and other plants. Mum has also loved activities such as keep-fit sessions and community visits.
Food has been an issue, as Mum needs a high-calorie diet and assistance with eating. Staff helps her to eat, and she is able to have a fridge in her room with additional snacks and her favourite foods.
When I have had concerns, the manager has been very quick to respond and set my mind at rest. Other staff members, such as the nurse team, are always very knowledgeable about Mum's needs and health issues.

My dad is presently a resident in the nursing area of Linson Court. He is a wonderful man but has recently turned into a difficult customer with complex needs including Alzheimer's and vascular dementia, cancer and a stroke. The staff are kindness itself. Whilst we are heartbroken by the situation he
is in we are always comforted by the fact he is very well looked after, pain-free and safe. Thank you for your continued support at this awful time. You will never know how much we appreciate all you are doing for him and our family.

Our case has been quite a complex case with a lot of emotional and personal issues that do not have anything to do with the home. I can only say that the home and staff have been wonderful. All the staff are lovely and approachable and the management have been excellent with their care, compassion
and kindness. My relative is happy and settled and looked after to the best degree. I can't comment on every aspect as we are very new to the care setting but I'm absolutely satisfied with the care I've seen. I am unsure about the food/menus and facilities other than what I've seen, so I have marked these as 4 stars.

When my grandmother first came to Linson court her weight had deteriorated since being in hospital. Through the patience and encouragement of the staff at Linson Court her weight steadily increased until she was at a healthy weight again. The staff were approachable and welcoming and forthcoming with
any information we needed regarding my grandmother. Although activities weren't something that my grandmother participated in they were offered on a daily basis and a list of activities was in her room for the upcoming month. The home itself is clean and presented well and has an outside communal garden. When she got ill the nurses were quick to react and inform us of the situation. My grandmother enjoyed her time at Linson so much so that when she was in hospital for the last time her one wish was to return back to Linson as that was her happy place and remained that way until her passing on boxing day.

Some staff are better than others, and although on the whole pleasant, they are sometimes unsure of what is required for the care of an individual. The room has not been vacuumed in over 2 weeks and the toilet is regularly dirty. General surfaces in the room and communal areas are dirty. Carpets throughout
are dirty and sticky in some areas. I asked admin staff if they would arrange to clean his room, but this has not been done 3 days later. Outer doors are locked and require a code to exit. I am concerned that in an emergency it would pose a threat to safety. Food has been described as poor. The resident was not asked if they wanted to engage in activities.

My mother moved into this care home in late April/early May of this year. She stayed in her room choosing to take her meals in her room. She developed a sore throat/chest infection and although I visited her each day I had to work in Wales from Friday to Sunday. I spoke to her on Friday and I could
tell something was wrong she was not herself. I phoned the care home and spoke to the nurse who assured me she was alright. No one answered the phone on the Saturday or the Sunday and it seemed when there was no one in the office the phone went unanswered. I left several answerphone messages but none were returned. I then received a call from a member of staff to say my mother was very ill on the Sunday and that an ambulance had been called. I then received a phone call from the hospital telling me my mother was gravely ill with covid and asking me to go immediately to the hospital which I did. She died a week later.
Reply from Renata Nadarevic, Manager at Linson CourtWe were very sorry to hear of the death of your mother in hospital and please accept our condolences on your loss. In the brief time your mother was with us at Linson Court she received the best possible care and our staff were always attentive to her needs. We accept our high standards slipped on this occasion when it came to communication over the weekend period in question and we have taken steps to address this.

My mother-in-law came to Linson Court in April last year. When we initially viewed Linson Court we were impressed with the welcoming environment and how friendly the staff were. My mother-in-law quickly settled in and received care that I would describe as exemplary. The staff were visible and approachable
and knew her well, volunteering information as to how she was doing without being asked.
Sadly she reached the end of her life but was incredibly well looked after (as were we), with the registered nurses proactively involving the GP to ensure she was comfortable. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Current Review Score: 9.4 (9.434)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.4 (9.434) out of 10 for Linson Court is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.5 out of 5 from 18 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 16 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.534 for Linson Court is calculated as follows: ( (151 Excellents x 5) + (30 Goods x 4) + (10 Satisfactorys x 3) + (7 Poors x 2) + (6 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 204 Ratings = 4.534
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.9 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Linson Court is based on 16 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.9
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 40 registered maximum number of service users is 8, which has been reached with 16 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
