They have well looked after Dad since his admission. Always keep you up to date on various issues. They went the full hog when I couldn't recently visit Dad due to my my mum being homed due to vascular dementia. Even shopped on my behalf for his toiletries and other items I usually supply which was
well appreciated. The care and nursing staff are second to none and really care. Keep up the good work.

My mum lived in St John's for the last year of her life, when she became frail following Covid pneumonia. It's a beautiful place with immensely kind people and she was so happy there despite having a lot of health challenges and limited mobility. I cannot praise the staff enough. With so many of them
you could tell they really loved my mum and greeted her with a hug. Kay and Billie do an amazing job in charge of things, and the ultimate mention goes to Chloe who is just "on it" all the time, ensuring the medications are right, involving the GP, following up and communicating with family. I am eternally grateful.
Finally two practical considerations: St John's seemed the best of all the care homes we viewed and was considerably cheaper than the others on our shortlist, which were in Harrogate. And we blessed the location, which was so easy and stress free to get to, particularly for my elderly dad.

An excellent level of service and care, from the initial meeting with the Home Operations Manager through the well organised admission process and the continuing timely communication regarding my Step Mother's health and comfort. The staff are kind, caring and attentive, the accommodation is everything
it needs to be. My Step Mother has settled in very easily and I am delighted with my choice of care home.

It was a joy to visit our friend during her final few weeks in The Millings where she was so happy and appreciative of the loving care she was blessed to receive from every member of staff. As visitors, my wife and I were also welcomed with care and compassion at a sad time. Thank you.

My mother had a two weeks respite stay. Her stay was excellent. She is extremely satisfied with the home, its cleanliness, the staff, the state of repair and decoration. She was particularly impressed with the staff. One observation though is there could be a waterproof chair available in the bathroom
to aid someone like her with a degree of limited mobility.
Reply from Kay Rushworth, Manager at St John's HouseThanks Christopher for your lovely review, so glad your Mum enjoyed her stay and hope to see her again soon she was a pleasure to have with us. I will take on your feedback, thank you for this.

The last thing I ever wanted to do was place mum into a care home but her 24/7 needs left no option. I visited several and the staff at Manor Park were lovely and seemed to understand my concerns and expectations. It's been almost a year now. Mum left hospital, frail, underweight and with horrendous
bed sores due to hospital neglect.
The care and attention mum has received has turned her health around significantly. Sadly her dementia cannot be cured but she is now able to join other residents in the communal areas, for socialising, meals or attending shows and events on the weekly programme. The staff are lovely, they show genuine care and compassion. Management are visible and often hands on. Facilities are good. I'm a frequent visitor and I see staff interacting with other residents. I know I can leave the home happy that mum is cared for. She is happy there, she often thinks she is staying in a hotel and praises it herself. I can sit with her and it always feels calm and homely.
Reply from Caron Flynn, Manager at Manor Croft Nursing HomeThank you Sue for your very kind words, it is a privilege to care for your Mum, thank you for your continued support of Manor Croft.

My step dad was at linson court for a very short time, the care he recieved was outstanding. Our family would like to express our heartfelt appreciation for the exceptional care provided at Linson Court Care Home. From the moment our loved one arrived, the team has shown nothing but kindness, patience,
and genuine compassion. It is clear that every member of staff takes pride in creating a safe, warm, and supportive environment.
The nursing and care teams at Linson Court consistently go above and beyond. They take time to understand each resident's needs, preferences, and personality, ensuring that care is truly person-centred. We have always felt reassured knowing that our loved one is in the hands of people who treat them with dignity and respect.
Communication with families is excellent. We are kept informed, involved, and supported, and staff are always willing to answer questions or offer reassurance. Their openness and professionalism has made a difficult transition much easier

A very friendly and welcoming environment, care staff lovely. I do feel is a little light on care staff at times, however they are all doing their very best. I have worked in this environment myself and that little extra time that can be given is everything to residents.

I find the home very welcoming and accommodating in all respects. The staff are very friendly and make dad feel supported and loved. He cannot praise the staff enough. The home is warm and clean and nothing is too much trouble for them.
Although dad would love to be in his own home he realises that
is not now possible and constantly tells us he couldn't be in a better place. Says it all really.

My Mum is a resident at the home, she was in a poor state of health when she came to the home, she has been nursed back to as good as she can be considering her age and condition. There are plenty of activities to entertain and stimulate, and being able to see these on social media is encouraging and
reassuring to our family, the staff are great at all levels and any questions, concerns are dealt with in a sympathetic and professional manner, I really do feel that she is in the right place, they reinforce the word"care" in care home

Mum initially went to The Millings for 3 weeks respite in February 2024, following a few days in hospital. Then she returned shortly afterwards, as a permanent resident, as she realised she could no longer cope at home, despite living next door to me.
The staff are quite simply amazing! From the Management
Team to the wonderful ladies who do the cleaning & laundry, everyone works so hard to make it an exceptional Care Home. The communication is fantastic, the staff are very helpful & friendly & I know Mum is being so well cared for by everyone. The staff are all brilliant at what they do...& they do it all with a smile! I've been so impressed by each & every one of them & I'm so grateful.
Reply from Bryony Lock, Home Operations Manager at The MillingsThank you so much for taking the time to leave such a kind and thoughtful review. It truly means a great deal to all of us at The Millings. We're so pleased that your mum felt supported during her respite stay and confident enough to return as a permanent resident. Knowing that she feels well cared for, happy, and safe with us is exactly what we strive for every day. Your lovely words about our whole team - from management through to housekeeping and laundry - will be shared with everyone. Thank you again for your trust, your appreciation, and for being part of The Millings community. We're very grateful to support both you and your mum. Warm regards, The Millings Care Home

My Mother has always received the best of care by the staff and management. We know that we can always talk to someone if we need to. I am always made to feel welcome when I visit Mum and she is happy and relaxed, usually after a tasty lunchtime meal with her friends around her.
Her room is well maintained
and always clean and tidy. She also has a little garden to look out at with a wishing well and flowers.
She has been at the care home for a few years now and says she would not want to be anywhere else.
We are pleased with the high standard of care.
Thank-you.
