Making the decision to place a parent into a care home is never easy, and accepting that extra help is needed can be very difficult.
Longlands Care Home, the management team, office staff, and carers have all been incredibly understanding and caring towards my dad. Everyone has a clear understanding
of his needs and requirements, which gives us great reassurance as a family. If anything needs to be brought to our attention, they contact us and explain everything clearly. Dad's health and wellbeing are always their top priority.
The entertainment team are fantastic. They bring everyone together through activities, exercise, and celebrations for special occasions, making sure that everyone feels included and involved.
Overall, as a family we are very happy with the care Dad receives, and we truly believe it is helping him with all of his needs.

I am very pleased with LC, especially with the staff. Over the time I have been visiting my wife there I've gotten to know them by name and all are so good at what they do and how they look after residents with professional dignity and it's not easy. From top to bottom everyone goes about their duties
with noticeable enthusiasm. There's a good array of activities to keep everyone from staying in their rooms and giving them an interest. The highlight of every day is when the food turns up well prepared, loved by most. Keep up the good work and never forget that you are appreciated and loved.
Reply from Renata Nadarevic, Home Operations Manager at Linson CourtThank you so much for your kind and thoughtful words. It truly means a great deal to all of us to hear how much you value the care and dedication shown by the team. Building those personal connections with residents and their families is incredibly important to us, and were so glad that has come through in your experience.

Were especially pleased to hear that your wife is enjoying the activities and meals, as we know how much those moments can brighten each day. Your recognition of the staffs enthusiasm and commitment will be shared with the whole teamit will mean a lot to them.

Thank you again for your continued support and appreciation. Its a privilege to care for your wife, and we will keep striving to provide the very best for all our residents.

My dad has been a resident for a couple of years and is very comfortable at Linson Court.
He moved into a room at the front of the building recently and has a great view over the Batley skyline, his home town of 93 years.
Dad is bedbound but the staff regularly try to persuade him into the lounge
area and on the occasions he does so he has a great time and has entertained with his singing.
There are several staff members that have taken great care of dad, and who he speaks highly of and it's nice to see the care they obviously have for him. Recently the activities have been taken up a notch and there seems to be more entertainment too.
I've always found it easy to communicate with the staff, either nursing or management and I feel very happy that my dad is in good hands.
Reply from Renata Nadarevic, Home Operations Manager at Linson CourtDear Tim,
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a lovely review. Your kind words truly mean a great deal to everyone here at Linson Court, and we're very grateful for your support.

Our Mum was at Linson Court for a short time due to terminal cancer.
The end of life care she recieved was exceptional and on behalf of my Dad, brother, sister and family I would like to take this opportunity to thank every single member of staff that contributed to the care, kindness and compassion
that my Mum and our family received.
It is no exaggeration to say that every member of staff from the outstanding Nursing Team, Care Assistants, Cleaners to the Kitchen Team were excellent, nothing was too much trouble and they were so caring for Mum.
Once again thank you to you all XX

The recent virus that affected some of the residents of The Millings was professionally dealt with , and with lots of support for the residents and relatives , every one gave 100% and were never to busy to answer any worries that we had.
Mum looks forward to the activities that take place daily,
and we join in when we are there, and it is lovely to see her having a laugh and having a go at everything.

The Millings is a real "home". Not just a place where people live, but somewhere that provides a truly loving, caring and homely environment for its residents, their families who visit and friends of residents who call in to visit old friends.
Mum moved in for a trial period and when she found independent
living too challenging. That was nearly five years ago and the Millings staff have both enriched her life, provided loving and attentive support and care and made her a real home from home.
The staff are, and always will be, The Millings' most valuable asset who clearly care deeply for their charges and for whom, nothing is too much.
As the son of a resident I have always been impressed by how well run and organised the home is, have always been treated with professionalism and thoughtfulness, and value the staff at all levels of who are genuinely superb.
Thank you for what you do and for doing it so well.

Dad has been resident for over a year now and his needs are increasing. When speaking to staff members they are all aware of his well being and always happy to answer questions and offer assistance when approached. There are times when they appear to be understaffed and they are very busy, but I've
always found them to be polite and helpful. I feel happy to be in the Millings and ask for help.

well appreciated. The care and nursing staff are second to none and really care. Keep up the good work.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mum lived in St John's for the last year of her life, when she became frail following Covid pneumonia. It's a beautiful place with immensely kind people and she was so happy there despite having a lot of health challenges and limited mobility. I cannot praise the staff enough. With so many of them
you could tell they really loved my mum and greeted her with a hug. Kay and Billie do an amazing job in charge of things, and the ultimate mention goes to Chloe who is just "on it" all the time, ensuring the medications are right, involving the GP, following up and communicating with family. I am eternally grateful.
Finally two practical considerations: St John's seemed the best of all the care homes we viewed and was considerably cheaper than the others on our shortlist, which were in Harrogate. And we blessed the location, which was so easy and stress free to get to, particularly for my elderly dad.

My mother had a two weeks respite stay. Her stay was excellent. She is extremely satisfied with the home, its cleanliness, the staff, the state of repair and decoration. She was particularly impressed with the staff. One observation though is there could be a waterproof chair available in the bathroom
to aid someone like her with a degree of limited mobility.

The last thing I ever wanted to do was place mum into a care home but her 24/7 needs left no option. I visited several and the staff at Manor Park were lovely and seemed to understand my concerns and expectations. It's been almost a year now. Mum left hospital, frail, underweight and with horrendous
bed sores due to hospital neglect.
The care and attention mum has received has turned her health around significantly. Sadly her dementia cannot be cured but she is now able to join other residents in the communal areas, for socialising, meals or attending shows and events on the weekly programme. The staff are lovely, they show genuine care and compassion. Management are visible and often hands on. Facilities are good. I'm a frequent visitor and I see staff interacting with other residents. I know I can leave the home happy that mum is cared for. She is happy there, she often thinks she is staying in a hotel and praises it herself. I can sit with her and it always feels calm and homely.
