Lilibet Manor in Crawshawbooth, Rossendale, Lancashire, provides nursing and residential care for up to 50 residents. This includes long-term, short-term and respite care, as well as specialist care for people aged 18 and over with complex needs such as Alzheimer's, dementia and medical/physical disabilities. Lilibet Manor is rated Good (June 2023) by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Lilibet Manor is split over two adjoining buildings. The main building, the former mansion of Lord Crawshaw built in 1830, is allocated to residents with dementia/Alzheimer's, and other complex needs, who require more specialist support, such as help with meals, personal care, and medications.

Most of the rooms in this part of the building retain original features from the period. Residents are also encouraged to bring their own furnishings to make their room feel as homely as possible. There is also a large, comfortable lounge along with a spacious dining room.

The newer part of the building (opened in 1995) is designed to provide nursing and residential care to young adults over the age 18 years who may have medical and/or physical disabilities. All of the rooms in this building are ensuite and there are also several lounges and a dining area where fresh home cooked food is served.

The home is set in over two acres of landscaped garden, offering a tranquil and pleasant environment for residents, who also have access to personal laundry service, hairdresser, optician, dentist and chiropodist.

Seems reviews can only be complementary after reading the rules of writing one. May I compliment you on your letter I received explaining all your failures in the passing of my father.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My friend was admitted to Lilibet Manor in August 2023, the carers are very compassionate and caring, they have bundles of patient and really care about every person they look after, even the chef and laundry staff are very good with the residents, they want to help at all times. It's very nice and
lovely. My friend can be very demanding at times, moving to Lilibet Manor has lessened the load but allows me to be actively involved in her care.

Current Review Score: 6.3 (6.317)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 6.3 (6.317) out of 10 for Lilibet Manor is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 3.2 out of 5 from 2 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.1 out of 5 from 1 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 3.217 for Lilibet Manor is calculated as follows: ( (12 Excellents x 5) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) + (1 Poors x 2) + (9 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 23 Ratings = 3.217
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.1 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Lilibet Manor is based on 1 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 = 3
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 50 registered maximum number of service users is 10. 1 Positive Reviews ÷ 10 = 0.1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
